Its using a lot more than just the corner of the building. Its got an internal ambulance bay, additional bed capacity, new and expanded facilities, business services for team member use such as rehabilitation etc. Its quite an expansive growth and is needed.

it is a bigger space but it is just using one side, i dont see them moving mazes out of there they just wont be as long as IT was.

And on Tweetstryd at Wildlands (the only other location this coaster is located at) they have the stairs on the inside, so I wonder why they’ve had to change it for this one

the only thing i can think of is that the rides exit may be in between the two lift hills. to me it really doesn’t matter its sets of stairs and it doesn’t look bad in person.

It takes away the illusion the train can fly off the track.

well, there is two spikes right next to the lift hills that give the illusion of the train flying off the track.

  3. i wouldn’t be suprised if the counterweights caused a lot of the issues, i think the ride getting new counterweights is more likely then it being removed right now due to all the hate they’ve been getting about ride availability. if this is what’s happening, maybe it’ll solve a lot of the rides issues.

Mechanical faults, or is it because of the high winds?

Green Lantern was operational for around 30mins at park open before shutting and Rivals opened around 12-1 same with Green Lantern reopening.

i really hope Scooby, WoO and Flash (even though it’ll close the same time as Superman and Batwing) make a good improvement on the parks operations, 5 rides open isn’t good enough.

let’s just hope both WoO coasters don’t close at the same time for maintenance.

  5. i’m sorry but i just find it insane a brand new little kids drop tower needs over 2 months of maintenance.

the problem with Movie World is, what else is there to do besides rides? yes, Dreamworld has 5 rides closing for 2 months+ (half for good reason) but they have much more to do then just the rides, they also plan the maintenance out so major rides aren’t offline at the same time. i don’t really think it’s comparable especially when you look at the ticket prices.

Superman and Batwing have both been down to aid construction of both Flash AND Oz. Extended more so than their usual periods. From what you can see, a large amount of concreting has been done around Superman's supports to aid with Oz, if this wasn't done now (possibly extending it's closure) then it would have had to go down again later in the year for it. Which would you prefer?

Batwing and Superman always close around the same time every year for 2 months. normally early feb to early april. Doomsday is also always around this time too along with JDS but Doomsday remains closed until whenever it wants to.

This is the problem with Gold Coast parks.  They think it is OK to reduce the customer experience, if the other park is doing it.

Serpent Slayer is closed for what i guess is they are waiting on a part (it reopened only able to operate in mild mode.)

the claw is 20 years old this year, don’t rides need extra work done every 10 years?

5 rides ≠ every attraction in the park. i’m not sure why Motorcoaster, Shockwave and Kenny’s are needing the extra maintenance though.
