where did we even hear they were getting a new arcade? was there permits, filings or is it just a rumour. with the first aid building going to me it’s more likely a new ride will go there, maybe a small kids coaster.

Its using a lot more than just the corner of the building. Its got an internal ambulance bay, additional bed capacity, new and expanded facilities, business services for team member use such as rehabilitation etc. Its quite an expansive growth and is needed.
it is a bigger space but it is just using one side, i dont see them moving mazes out of there they just wont be as long as IT was.
-
DCeased only took up half the building, the first aid office is just using a corner of the building. I won’t be suprised if the reasoning is cause it’s easier to get ambulances in and out if needed.

i think it’s safe to say considering Superman and Batwing both close at the same time every year for maintenance, Flash will be joining them. if it doesn’t i’ll be shocked.

the only thing i can think of is that the rides exit may be in between the two lift hills. to me it really doesn’t matter its sets of stairs and it doesn’t look bad in person.

well, there is two spikes right next to the lift hills that give the illusion of the train flying off the track.

Just to clarify, new restraints or old?
the ride was testing without the seats installed, so we won’t be sure for a couple days.

Flash has started testing today.

both sides of Kansas Twister’s lift hills are now completed, meaning the construction for both coasters is now complete.

idk if news articles kept bringing up my traumatic experience from 8 years ago in order to get a couple dollars i wouldn’t be very happy.

I hope the staff are being rewarded/recognised also.
from what i’ve heard they are recognised and treated very well, makes sense why all the staff seem like they actually want to be there.

i wouldn’t be suprised if the counterweights caused a lot of the issues, i think the ride getting new counterweights is more likely then it being removed right now due to all the hate they’ve been getting about ride availability. if this is what’s happening, maybe it’ll solve a lot of the rides issues.

AA closed in 2019, was demolished in 2022 and Groundwork for the coasters started over a year ago. abc kids world closed 5 months ago and groundwork for the coasters is nearly done, with all of the theming being assembled off site. i dont think its really comparable.

both sides of Kansas Twisters spikes have been put into place. the only thing left now is the lift hills.

i really thought they were just going to reuse the old trains with a new wrap on them but maybe we will be getting new lapbar trains after all.

Mechanical faults, or is it because of the high winds?
Green Lantern was operational for around 30mins at park open before shutting and Rivals opened around 12-1 same with Green Lantern reopening.
i really hope Scooby, WoO and Flash (even though it’ll close the same time as Superman and Batwing) make a good improvement on the parks operations, 5 rides open isn’t good enough.
let’s just hope both WoO coasters don’t close at the same time for maintenance.
-
Green Lantern and Rivals have both been closed today so far. currently the only attractions open are WWF, JL, Carousel, Taxis, and the rail road.
-
i’m sorry but i just find it insane a brand new little kids drop tower needs over 2 months of maintenance.
the problem with Movie World is, what else is there to do besides rides? yes, Dreamworld has 5 rides closing for 2 months+ (half for good reason) but they have much more to do then just the rides, they also plan the maintenance out so major rides aren’t offline at the same time. i don’t really think it’s comparable especially when you look at the ticket prices.

Superman and Batwing have both been down to aid construction of both Flash AND Oz. Extended more so than their usual periods. From what you can see, a large amount of concreting has been done around Superman's supports to aid with Oz, if this wasn't done now (possibly extending it's closure) then it would have had to go down again later in the year for it. Which would you prefer?
Batwing and Superman always close around the same time every year for 2 months. normally early feb to early april. Doomsday is also always around this time too along with JDS but Doomsday remains closed until whenever it wants to.

This is the problem with Gold Coast parks. They think it is OK to reduce the customer experience, if the other park is doing it.
Serpent Slayer is closed for what i guess is they are waiting on a part (it reopened only able to operate in mild mode.)
the claw is 20 years old this year, don’t rides need extra work done every 10 years?
5 rides ≠ every attraction in the park. i’m not sure why Motorcoaster, Shockwave and Kenny’s are needing the extra maintenance though.
-
i’ve heard it will be used in some capacity during Fright Nights, so if that’s true i won’t be shocked if it does close sometime soon.
-
looks like all that is left to do is actually getting the train onto the track and testing the ride.
-
Doomsday’s maintenance schedule now has no reopening date and just says “From 5 Feb 2024.”
this is what they did to Arkham before silently closing it, maybe they finally decided to pull the plug on Doomsday.

i really just can’t believe they’re adding a boh facility in prime Atlantis expansion real estate.

looks like Movie World caught on with the theme of cringey social media posts on tik tok promoting a new Looney Tunes Acme filter. (the link wouldn’t post properly but it’s just @movieworldaus on tik tok.)
