  1. I thought a private certifier first checked things/did plans/etc. and then G.C.C.C approved/disapproved it. Remember when the plans for Movie World's new world were denied - G.C.C.C denied them.
  2. I remember a while ago they had a DA for a coaster; but this was submitted late last year and all it said was 'White Card - Roller Coaster' and 'Construct'. Didn't specify a type or anything.
  3. When Dreamworld submit an application through GCCC and it was for a coaster; would they specify the 'type' of coaster?? I think it'll be a good addition to Nick Central.... or Ocean Parade with the Claw and Adrenaline Ally. Whichever way - I hope there's good theming but I think it'll be on the Nick side. EDIT: The space available is approx. 60 metres. The Disk'O Coaster is 81.5m, Mega is 37.5m and normal is 24.55m When I say the sizes; I mean length. I guess you picked up on that. xD Like the space is 60m long.
  4. But that's WAY too small for the massive area provided. AND I'm pretty sure 'Midi' is the digital interface for the ride.
  5. Funny thing is - I just said that to the employee who told us about it. :S Im doubting the thrill ride now. Maybe they thought it was a coaster because it was on tracks? Edit: The Disk'O coaster - it's a coaster; right??? Hmmm... maybe. But I doubt it. The constructed on is approx. 58m long. It could probably fit one in.
  6. Apparently they (Dreamworld) know the theming for the thrill ride; but not for the family ride. The family ride is positioned there so when they do decide on a theme, it can either be an ocean parade ride or a Nick Central ride.
  7. Oh; we're not sure about that it's Gold Rush themed. I forgot to add that's just what one of our fans (who says she's the fiance of a Dreamworld Employee) said. How do we know this??? Uhm... well there were a few things. The same person I mentioned above said that after the ride is built, the bus bay will still operate (so maybe the ride can go over it or something?). But I doubt that. And then an anonymous employee (who will remain anonymous) let us in on it. And finally, one of the Outsiders had claimed to 'of seen new cars underneath the mountain'. Yesterday there was DEFINITELY work going on under the mountain. You could hear them underneath there moving, people were going in and out through the door next to the cinema. We saw an engineer in there. We're 99.9% sure that they're coasters. But if they're not; at least we had a bit of speculation. There was also a rumor that Dreamworld was letting out info to employee that wasn't real, just to steer people off; but I don't believe this. http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/208543_155931797803067_152421251487455_334031_1530009_n.jpg
  8. "We did some sneaking. Some asking. Some peeking. And some booing. And now we'd like to confirm that the two rides at Dreamworld Australia are BOTH coasters. What sort of coasters; we have no idea." Outsiders I was there today when we heard this (but didn't post it, but now that it's out, may as well let it go! ). So... 2 coasters. At least what we were 'told' or 'heard'. Whatever. Hahaha. I think the kid coaster will just be something small... I wonder. And the second coaster. It is Gold Rush themed from what I've heard. But $7 mill. Is that enough for a good coaster? Hmm...
  9. Thanks so much!!! I forgot all about that Q150 pass.
  10. When did VRTP begin their price slashing? I'm just curious, that's all. EDIT: And when did Dreamworld begin theirs? Thanks. ^.^
  11. Ah, ok. Well the pictures are inside the first temple and at the very back wall and on the front of the 2nd temple. They're pretty big and kind of fluroish.
  12. Hahaha. What I meant was the paintings on the walls of the arena. So the ones at the back, in the temple, etc.
  13. Did you guys know that AVPX was originally intended to be in 3D - weird. I saw it in 3D the other day at 5:30 after it closed.
  14. Thanks for mentioning that, GoGoBoy... My hopes just vanished.
  15. Yer, the fencing just blocks off the bus bay from the public. So the grass areas and the road entrance into the bus bay. The buses now park outside Whitewater World in a now 'dedicated' bus zone. But from what I have heard in the rumor mill from multiple people; it is a roller coaster. But what's going to fit into that place? I guess that will just be the loading and unloading and then the coaster would utilize more space. As for the Chalk Zone area (I didn't get too good of a look there) but some vegetation has been begun to be removed. And did anyone notice that the arcade has had a repaint to an orange on the outside (well is still being repainted since Saturday) and is now done up on the inside.
  16. But also, just from my point of view, Whitewater World isn't (well couldn't survive) as a park on its own. People usually go to Whitewater World because it's next to Dreamworld. I haven't heard of many people I know going to Whitewater World just on its own or going to Dreamworld because of Whitewater World. Maybe they see an expansion in Dreamworld as a benefit for both parks?
  17. We're all focusing on Dreamworld with the two new rides. I'm guessing seeing as nothing was mentioned in ASX about rides in Whitewater World; it's another year with no major addition to the park?
  18. I was just saying I reckon a family ride for June; but was unsure about the thrill ride. I thought it may of been December because maybe they might do it on their birthday, but, I guess, they're doing September. But, we all know they're usually not on time. Some guy in General Inquiries back in January the day the cinema opened let the beans spill anyway. Some guests (a family of 2 adults, 2 kids) came in asking about rides and what new ones there are and he said they're beginning construction on a couple of new ones in the next two or three months. So, March or April should see the beginning of the construction, right? According to this employee.
  19. Here are some pretty bad quality pictures (well screenshots of a video) of what I believe to be the pirate flag... Im beginning to have second thoughts on what I saw now, but I may as well show you all what I originally thought was the pirate flag. Sorry for the misinterpretation originally. :S Im not sure what this thing is now. Or, either the pirate flag was taken down. Im so confused, I was so positive I saw it, but now Im not.... I dont even think this thing is it. Uhmmm I can't get the image URL from the flash component of Zendorphin's general photos, so here's a link. http://zendorphin.net/index.php?option=com...2&Itemid=25 Again, sorry guys if it isn't what I originally thought it was. Quite embarrassed now, to say the least. Just like to make clear though, this still could be a pirate flag, I'm just unsure now, though.
  20. Hahaha, glad you asked. I actually caught the train and video recorded the whole ride to the side. Going through the video now to try and get a clipping. Anyone have any ideas on motion blur and any computer generated way to like get rid of it? It's not really motion blur, more of just phone quality blur. I have clippings from the video of what I believe is it, but not going to upload until Im positive about it. Will let you know soon. EDIT: Got some screen shots of the videos and circled what I believe it is. Im unsure of my sightings now, but I've circled what I think it is. When I looked from the Giant Drop, where I thought this was, it wasn't there, but now I see it when on the train. Sorry if I'm wrong about this sighting, I was just so sure. Will upload the pics in about 15 minutes on the other thread, it's dinner now.
  21. Here you go guys, some updated pictures. Photo One: Photo Two: Photo Three: They're located here Enjoy. Oh, oh, oh, and the detail in the last picture (I think it's the last picture)!! The 'hut' has amazing detail! (I think at least, but then again, I've been around Aussie parks my whole life).
  22. Hate to say this, but me and my friend were disappointed that the lions don't have one of those big manes seen in cartoons. Nice to see it's getting more theming than some other parts of the park. Awww, now that was just mean. But seriously, it is nice to see a lot of hard work and theming in it! And I wonder what the future animals in these enclosures will be... If I heard correct, there's pigmie hippos coming?
  23. I'm pretty sure the new product mentioned was the new 'ultimate' pass (or something along that line). At least that's what I picked up on from what I read.
  24. I do need glasses (but just haven't been bothered to get them). But that's because I'm long sighted and have problems with closer things. Gosh, if I was seeing things, I'll be so embarrassed. But it was there. Either it's still there, or, it's been removed. We'll find out when I go (or if someone else goes before me).
  25. Well Thrillz said that they didn't see a Pirate flag/mask/anything there.... But I am positive I saw it, I even tried to take a picture (but was too late).... Im either going next week or the week after, because I have exams for the next 2 weeks, so going to have troubles getting there, but when I do, it's picture time!! Even if it means 2 runs on the train. Or maybe hold onto the side and climb back until I get it. (I did try it, but it was a very busy day!)
