An RMC Raptor pops up a lot when talking about Green Lantern. I think that would be a fun choice!

Guessing it will have a launch like the similar Big Bear Mountain at Dollywood.

There must be something about the DC event that gives Rivals and Superman better operations 😜

I can guarantee you that no ride is going to be called “flying monkeys”
This is the same park that called a ride "Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster: Next Generation" 😜

Bring back the Flash wind effect! That's good to hear. Was the Starro mist curtain even back? And how about the spaceship scene - was the background music back in there? Because it has been silent in that scene for ages, apart from the dialogue from the screens when they are working, and it ruined the atmopshere
The mist curtain was indeed working! Pretty sure the spaceship section had music.

Super excited to (hopefully) get that Leviathan night ride!

Not to be rude because I haven't visited Dreamworld in nearly a decade, but since ~the incident~ has any ride in the park garnered anything of a queue to worry about capacity? From what I've seen on these forums, almost everything is always a walk-on except on the very busiest days. They might as well close whatever areas they want to refurb and just get on with it already.
Honestly? Not really. But I think it still matters. Having as many attractions as possible open while keeping the queues as low as possible will help keep guest satisfaction up and increase the chance of return visits / positive word of mouth. Also good to be ready if they find themselves in a position where it *does* matter. It all adds up.

Yeah, creates a few eye sores here and there but it helps with capacity and ride availability. I guess one trumps the other.
Hrmm, speaking of which... maybe the Madagascar section will remain open while they work on the Shrek / KFP areas. Makes sense with the new Parent's Centre being there - looks like that could open relatively soon. They probably don't need to close the area to get the re-theming done, as the two current attractions are (supposedly) only getting minor re-themes.

(Didn't see a dedicated thread, so here we are!)
The Dreamworks Store transformation into the new Parent's Centre is well underway
Escape from Madagascar's Ride Sign has been removed
The "Beware of Ogres" sign has also been removed by Shrek, leaving a hole.
Semi related- watched the Wiggles show and Kenny and Belinda seem to have a new look:

For those that have managed a ride, how relaxed are the restraints on a scale of size from scooby to sky voyager?
Closer to Scooby; if you can do that you can probably do Leviathan. I'm in the early 110kgs with a pretty large waist and was able to fit, but it felt close.

Justice League has now reopened from its lengthy refurb/ maintenance period. Has anyone been able to go on it yet and confirm any changes?
I visited the park tonight for White Christmas and JL was down for tech issues. Not sure if it reopened.

The ride was down for most of the afternoon, but finally got back up and running around 5pm. The staff said they'd make sure everyone in the (long) queue would all get a ride, which was great to see.
I got a back row ride this time (rode on the middle row before) and the experience was significantly better. Very, very fun. I didn't really notice the airtime before, but this time I did!
Can't wait to ride it at night at Carnivale. That thing is likely going to haul like crazy at the end of a hot day!

With New Atlantis opening the signs have been updated.

Just came off. Loved it! Felt a little slow though so looking forward to trying it later as it warms up.
The theming in the station was terrific and gives me high hopes for Wizard of Oz. I'd go as far as saying it was world class. Have to be careful that it doesn't fall into disrepair like Scooby. One borked screen would ruin it.
Edit: There is a test seat. It's to the left right as you enter the main queue.

It’s been incredibly successful. I think the name change is to reflect a greater level of partnership between the 2. We already know the wave swinger will operate at the markets, and the schnitzel outlet has been operating during it, as does the Lego store.
Yes, it has been successful. I meant from a branding perspective. I'm sure there were a few people who questioned why the market was being held at a closed theme park with seemingly no other relation. You go in and see more Dreamworld than Moonlight.
The new branding makes a lot more sense for sure. Also opens the possibility of opening other rides (Steel Taipan) during the market down the line which is exciting.
-
Don't they usually make prototypes before they sell to parks? You never know though...
-
Interesting. I guess trying to keep it separate from Dreamworld branding wise wasn't working too well.

I had a feeling it would go there. Bigger footprint than Gingy's, plus with the new wave swinger opening they have less of a need for it.
-
Leviathan and Trident are both now on the app and park map!
Leviathan is now listed as "Max thrill" with Trident being "Moderate, Max" - what ever that means.

So is it safe to say that the monorail is gone or is there still hopes that it will reopen.
Hopefully with New Atlantis about to open (the supposed reason it closed) we'll find out what their plans are.
