You can connect anything to a big tv if you want to by the way.

I voted Corkscrew because I believe it is the best in Australia. (The 13th best in the world to be precise)
-
Thats weird, you can only vote once, so something weird is going on.
-
I voted for it only because I own one.

The thing that I liked the most about the Thunderbolt was that it was actually quite exciting. More exciting than the Cyclone I personally think.
-
I would think that the whole concept of the new roller-coaster at Dreamworld after the thunderbolt would mean a smoother ride, originality, more speed and therfore more excitement. One of the things I first noticed was that the cyclone is significantly less exciting than it looks. From the outside it is an extremely attractive and exciting looking coaster. The rides smoothness has degraded of late and it is easily possible to experience some pain while riding it. Its originality is not great as it is just a Luna Park coaster brought up from down South. And Luna Park can't really be compared with Dreamworld. The Cyclone is also not that fast compared with the thunderbolt. I don't know the stats but I remember the thunderbolt went 90 kmh and it feels as if the cyclone isn't that fast. Additionally to put it bluntly I don't think the cyclone is as exciting as it should be.

Slick remember how the last ride in the preview was occupied by two people. Well one of those people was me.
-
What the... Since when did the gamecube have any supporters. That is weird. Must be too many little kids on this site.

When I went to the media release I went on it and there was only two people on it for the last media ride which was me and Richard. It was excellent. The G force is sustained for an impressive amount of time and afterwards my brain was compressed nto the bottom of my skull. The best part for me was the peak in G Force down the bottom and I also was impressed by how scary it was up the top and upside down. It was awesome.

I would say that the best game of all time would have to be Commander Keen 4 or Goldeneye 007. For me they are at a dead tie.

It was a great park in its era. Amazons was extremely common for birthday parties and things like that. The whole Amazon jungle atmosphere really worked and the slides were extremely fun as well. Im sure you will find pictures at google image from typing amazons water park or something similar. It was not better than Wet n Wild, the rides were not as numerous and advanced as Wet n Wild however I thinks that they were more fun. For me its a dead tie. It also closed some time in 2002.
-
I think that Amazons was funner because it was actually in Brisbane. I know the rides are better at Wet n Wild however Amazons had a far better atmosphere. Additionally the whole layout was excellent and it had far more places you could screw around. At Wet n Wild everything is so bland and it is easier to get in trouble. You cant stop on the rides as well like you could at Amazons and clog up the water slide traffic. I have had more fun at Amazon overall.

Yeah, I have painfully been there before. My brother activated the civilians rioting cheat. I put up with it for like a month then I had had enough. I was driven insane at the violent public and restarted which was very annoying.

Rod, I remember telling me about that mud thing ages ago. Bloody hell I laughed out loud. I have the mental image in my head and I hope the guy you threw it at said" arrrgh, my eyes!"

Yeah, thats a good point I just want to say that a consoles average graphics capability is defined by its technical stats. Often the first games have the worst graphics because the system resources of a console haven't been completely explored and utilized. For example the average graphics of an XBox will be Higher than that of PS2's. Also there was that upgrade thingy on 64 which can counter for some games. However not contrasts like Cruisin USA and Goldeneye.

Read my previous posts, Power is a statistic, I can show you them if you want but that would be going into too much detail. It is solid fact, it is the most direct indicator on a games graphics and hence playability. You can't say that this game is good graphics just from your opinion. As your opinion isn't a fact now is it. There arent millions of websites on the net saying that the PS2 power level and graphics capability is directly influenced by Rod's opinion now are there. Additionally you have not played Colin Mcrae Rally on XBox, it is heaps better graphics than PS2's games. Not to mention Gamecube games which also have stones to throw on the PS2. If you have played Colin Mcrae on XBox the difference is that there arent as many flat texture panels which only display the graphics on a 2D panel. That is what is common on those GT games on PS2. And by the way the games are not better but more plentiful. All the good games you can get on computer and XBox so there is no point arguing that the games are better on PS2. The games that are rated underneath the standouts are sometimes good, but most of the time they are games you can get on all consoles. By the way I am aware of the irony of this not being fact and therefore my opinion. However this is not biased at all and my words are pretty much those of reviews of consoles. It is the general cognitive realisation of a person not biased towards PS2 or any other console.

Two of the games you mention anyone can easily get on computer. You were probably better off saving the three hundred dollars and buying GTA and GT on computer. Its not that hard to sacrafice one game. I mean everyones got a playstation. Gran Tourismo is better looking on computer than playstation and additionally it may be a fine looking game however it is a modern day console. Compare it too XBox games like Colin Something Rally and other racers and you will see the difference. They are technically the least powerful and therefore its overall graphics wont be as good as XBox or Gamecube. There is no way of wriggling out of it by mentioning games.

Yeah Goldeneye is still the best shooting game in the world which is really weird because its so old.
-
Yeah I have played SmackDown and stuff on PS2 and they are really good, it is by far the best console for fighting because of Tekken and other ones like. Heaps better than some wrestling games where you ground someone and then when they get up they are to exausted to fight back and then you can just keep doing moves on them while they have no power at all. Gamecube has pretty crap wrestling and fighting games I have to say. You can play 4 player on those smackdowns I think which would be really fun. Damn I wish I didnt miss out on boots club.

I will accept the fact that PS2 has an unchallenged range of games, it is completely true. However from the games that shoot out of America and Japan hardly any make it big and get rated well. PS2 cannot specialise in anything apart from the huge range of games it has. They may have many platforms of games with heaps of games for each platform however only about one game in each platform is worth buying, thats if it is only available on PS2. If you buy one of those cheap games that shoot out of other countries it is higly likely that it will get seriously boring very quickly. It is a very common experience giving it poor replay value. The functionality of the PS2 is also not to be boasted about: 2 controller ports, highest chance of breakdown, least powerful and I am quite sure that the controller is nothing special. I am not really a tremendous gamecube fan. In fact I think the gamecube has made a large number of mistakes, such as that stupidly small disc which causes gamecube to not be able to have games over 1.5 GB. I am only a die hard multiplayer fan, and it offer the the best multiplayer. Gamecube games are aimed for young ones however it does not mean that they aren't fun as hell. Plus they they have all the EA games and other games from designers which are aimed at the older audience which are available on all consoles and some of those games arent available on computer. My brother was telling me of some new violent Gamecube game called Geist which is MA15+. I know PS2 is winning by far and that they are the favourite, I just can't see why. The only explanation I can see is its excellent brand, wide variety and its early release. PS I couldnt find my damn Business Law book so I missed the train by accident. I really wanted to bring my boots too.

Ahh, technically the playstation two is the least powerful of all the modern day consoles. The most powerful by far is the X Box then gamecube which just comes ahead of the PS2. I could go into tremendous detail explaining this however it can easily be seen by that shimmering and flashy stuff that is characteristic of all PS2 games except for those which have trails. Because of the PS2 coming out earliest they grasped the market. Actually they would of grasped it anyway if it came out at the same time as the other consoles, because it is "sony" and the original playstation came with some very good games. However the point is that they are far behind the X-Box in every single way. The two player feature pretty much ruined modern console multiplayer for those people who decided to get one, As it would just be stupid if you had 2 modern day consoles. The 4 player multiplayer capability on XBox, Gamecube and N64 provide players undeniably with extreme fun that reaches beyond the old one and two player in pretty much every console game. Additionally all games that are rated above a 9.0 on playstation you can get on computer anyway, so whats the point. The only thing I can see in that playstation is the huge range of games (of which most are pretty stupid) that would appeal to people with specific tasted in video gaming. Oh yeah and concerning the controller, it is really uncomfortable and the vibrator rotates too fast so it doesnt feel rumbly. In a survey it was actually found to be the controller most likely to give you arthritis. XBox won of course. These are the facts, PS2 is not a powerful machine, it is bad quality, everyone had heard of a PS or PS2 breaking down. With anything else it does happen but not so often. They have bad textures, all shimmery, the only way to get rid of this is to add trails. These are annoying as it makes the game blurry and less clear (GTA3 and GTAVC). I guess the controller is alright, its just too small and you cant get a nice solid grasp on it without your fingers losing reach. Oh God I am preparing myself for the mass of excuses and lies about the benefits of the PS2 in its defence, I better do some resarch. People try not to say that its the best console for you, because I know thats true because of its wide variety of games. I am talking about general stuff.

Commander Keen 4. A highly exciting dos game renowned for its smooth sidescrolling graphics and enjoyability. The first person to upload their saved game file wins an online treat.
-
Yeah thats right, slick is 100 percent correct. It was emulator that he had. I forgot to mention it before. You can also get them for computer. Thats what gives the XBox that advantage over other consoles.
-
Yes you can, with the appropriate chips and stuff like that installed into it. I know someone who has it on his, he told me. And he said he's got Mario Kart 64 4 player on it.

I think that its pointless having a playstation because all of their good games I get on computer and play them freely. Same with X Box games like Halo, however X box has awesome features like no other console, I heard that that you can put old 64 games on it and play them. Its a bit the same with Gamecube however its the only way you can play all those awesome classic multiplayer revamped style. So thats why I have one and I like it.
