  1. I do not deem it necessary to quote the entire text as I am only referring to part of your post but next time I shall quote everything for you.
  2. As I understand, the Scooby Doo Spooky coaster runs two independent systems to move the cars around the track: 1) Track system (main system) 2) Car system (secondary / backup system) In the case of a fire or emergency shut down, the secondary system is used to stop the car. Wouldn’t it be more practical to have the cars continue forward to the next braking station where there is exit stairs and a walkway?
  3. What if they were adding a Resident Claw to Dreamworld, would you like to see that being built? It might not be everyone’s thing but many websites are solely dedicated to providing information on upcoming rides and attractions, and while these sites provide some photos of new attractions, they are often old or taken from obscure angles (depending on the ride’s location). Nothing could be more up-to-date than a live feed (it’s not actually a steaming video feed, it’s just a still photo that is taken every 20 seconds or so).
  4. Does anyone know of any parks that are using this technology at the moment? From the video it looks as though Silver Star from Europa Park is using it.
  5. Wonderbus, what exactly did I mean when I said this - "only sometimes enforced by current day Egyptians" and - "only some of these beliefs have been passed down to current-day Egyptians (which are somewhat loosely enforced)" Can you not see I am agreeing with you? But now I understand what you are saying, you’re (thanks Daniel) respecting the few current day Egyptians who still follow the beliefs of the ancient day Egyptians. Although I would define these people as “ancient day Egyptians,” because in a sense they are. They are people with the same beliefs, the same people who built the pyramids, put the curses on them, and told everyone not to disturb them (and yes thats my way of trying to correct myself and say I was right all along as I always do). Now I’m with you, or have I missed it completed? Probably… So, Dreamworld anyone?
  6. I'm sure Alex would be interested. Three times. Yet does it matter? Everyone has their own opinion on Disney and no matter what anyone says, people will not listen nor take it in, they will simply think of ways to dispute the other's reasoning, it's true.
  7. Okay, thanks for clearing that up wonderbus, although I cannot see how the culture of the modern-day Egyptians would prevent you walking into a Pyramid. The custom of not disturbing an Egyptian Tomb or resting place is derived from the ancient Egyptians and is only sometimes enforced by current day Egyptians (as you said yourself). It is the culture and beliefs of those who built the pyramids, and only some of these beliefs have been passed down to current-day Egyptians (which are somewhat loosely enforced). However, the reasoning as to why you wouldn’t enter a pyramid is yours, not mine.
  8. Ok, I didn't know that. To be honest, I'm not really into housework, but thanks for the information.
  9. Your post above which is comparatively analysing vaccum cleaners and Disney attractions is contradicting itself. You are saying that Hoover and Disney are both innovators and everyone copies them, when in fact Dyson have developed an entirely new cleaning concept - that has taken off all over the world. And about the “hoovering” thing, it’s an old people/laziness issue, just because people call it “hoovering” and buy other vaccum cleaners doesn’t mean Hoover will return to number one.
  10. This is how it appears to me; Wonderbus said he would not enter the pyramids as he respects the spiritual beliefs of those who built the pyramids. Alex, I don't recall it becoming your business since I replied to the post with my opinion, but I am sorry Matty, I should have said "I THINK he is referring to the ancient Egyptians." I'm not even going to bother arguing with you Alex. Your one sad guy, if it makes you feel better calling me a smart arse or a teapot then go for your life.
  11. Wonderbus, can you please explain your post.
  12. When people call their Dyson a Hover, what is the financial benefit to Hover? We own a Dyson, my parents still call it Hoovering, yet we would never go back to using a Hover, thus, I agree with Gazza. Anyway, I know your going to reply to this with something crazy but I've made my point And yes wonderbus, I am finally done with this thread.
  13. Alex, you really do have too much spare time to waste your time trying to be funny, when your not. When reading his post about his knowledge of Ancient History, it seems pretty clear to me that he is talking about the ancient Egyptians. What would it mean to the modern day Egyptians? Nothing (as Matty pointed out). It was the ancient Egyptians who built pyramids, it's their culture. Alex seriously, your an idiot. With a discussion there is always two sides to a topic, that's the point of a forum. Just because I don't agree with you on everything doesn't mean you have to cry about it. Get over it mate...
  14. Wonderbus is referring to the culture of the ancient, not modern-day, Egyptians.
  15. Your a good man wonderbus, I think better of you now than what I did after the Disney dabate You always put up a good fight for what you believe.
  16. I have a question about the brakes on the Demon, or infact any roller coaster, if they fail and default to "closed" then wouldn't this cause the coaster to hit the brakes (i.e. the metal that hangs down below the carrages would hit the closed pads)? Although they might have a wider opening at the front to allow for this... Someone please correct me.
  17. It will be the second highest roller coaster in Australia (Tower of Terror is 75m higher and Cyclone is the same height as the new Superman ride). Edit: The height stat. on Lethal Weapon has been changed to 33.3m, when it used to be 35m. http://www.rcdb.com/m/recordholders.htm?st...c=1&continent=6
  18. lol, I am half and half. Watching other people in the que would become boring very quickly, however if they employed a few more people with video cameras that followed you around the park then you wouldn't need to take your video camera. Out now on DVD: Your Day at Movie World (now with toilet cameras).
  19. So, it's a good idea, but it's not an attraction? What would you call it? Do you think its a good addition to the park? Am I asking too many questions? Or can I ask another? Too far?
  20. Rabid, has any construction / taking down of buildings started yet?
  21. Thanks joz. lol, there's nothing wrong with sheep. joz, you know what the new attraction is going to be ay?
  22. It's very disrespectful to the national heritage of Australia. You should have some RESPECT. Just because the Aboriginal community was not sent as convicts to Australia doesn’t mean you shouldn’t disrespect their beliefs.
  23. Europa park is Germany's biggest theme park. Mack have always been very innovative, and this is a great way of generating interest before the ride has even been completed. Yup, its a Mack Water Coaster. It includes a reverse drop connected by two turntables and a double drop.
