  1. 8 days until the fright nights opening. Is there any changes to the parks appearance?
  2. I'd love to see a backstory version to Hillbilly Slasher- kinda like TCM: The Beginning. Either make it into a short film for the Roxy Theatre or into a maze. I'd like to see something like Film Vault but sorta a tribute to FN. Different characters from previous mazes - Mick Taylor, Hillbilly Crew, WD, Clowns etc each room differently themed. Highly unlikely but would still be nice to see. Definitley more IPs - Scream, A season of AHS, American Psycho would be cool, Silence of the Lambs or the Hannibal tv series.
  3. I'm sure this is the longest Fright Nights forum on this site thus far.
  4. I know what you mean haha. They did something similar in one of the mazes but instead of Halloween it was Chrismas gone wrong. I must say I think this is better than the purge. did anyone notice in the video that Big Mama is the same actress they've used for the last four years straight in the same role. I still remember walking through HS2 and my group walked into the house and she screamed " I can't believe ya'll just walked into a strange house in the middle of the forest"? That statement alone made my night haha She's obviously doing a great job if they keep bringing her back and now giving her her own panic room ?? I wonder where the other three panic rooms will be.
  5. I must agree I don't think I've ever been disappointed with the results of anything related to Psychoscarepy. The original, the Christmas version, the memories version etc they're all so successful in regards to atmosphere. It has a great " One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest" vibe - I mean they've even played the song that Nurse Ratched played to calm the patients in the maze. Something about a group of patients creating chaos in the streets or seeing the ghosts of the victims in asylum gives me the creeps. You're right, MW needs to do something asylum themed.
  6. what do you mean by events fare on the global scene? Not The Ringmaster!!! No!!!!!!!!!! I doubt it's insidious IMO. I've got a feeling these panic rooms will be generic but that's just my opinion. I wish they would inform us what their themes are - at least we know one is most likely clown related.
  7. I'm not saying he's critical. Not at all. I'm saying I rather not go in depth with the conversation that's all as I don't really have much more to say about the topic other than the explanation i have given.
  8. Dude, I don't really want to go into this. I'm not having a debate. I told you my opinion and why so let's put this conversation to bed. I'm entitled to my opinion and I feel as though you're kinda reading into it too much. I just wanted to make my statement, not have my brain studied and picked at ?
  9. alone gave me the absolute chills and all that was was a few empty wheelchairs and an elevator on the other side. Same with Wolf Creek. Instead of having Mick jump out in every scene, MW decided to build the suspense level. I was waiting for him to pop any second ( especially in the cop car, campground or house/ forest set.) The suspense was driving me crazy haha ?The performers in the streets are also amazing. The zombies, the nurses ( I swear, one looked like Nurse Ratched), the rednecks and the guy in the cage did a great job. I just received a level of creeped out that I don't usually receive at other similar events. I definitely get frightened at other events like HHN but I prefer FN. I prefer if someone didn't 'pick' my brain but I will voice my opinion ? Tbh, it's the mazes and the atmosphere. The costumes, makeup, masks and scare tactics are so well done it feels like you just walked into a horror film - look at Evil Within last year. The hospital corridors alone gave me the absolute chills and all that was was a few empty wheelchairs and an elevator on the other side. Same with Wolf Creek. Instead of having Mick jump out in every scene, MW decided to build the suspense level. I was waiting for him to pop any second ( especially in the cop car, campground or house/ forest set.) Sorry guys, I'm having technical trouble with typing on this forum so I have to type on notes then copy and post it on here. My device is glitching a bit. Please disregard the first part of the post I made.
  10. No, I've been to the event. I'm not saying I don't like HHN, they've done an awesome job in the past but I prefer Fright Nights.
  11. well, they produced six commercials/ adverts promoting FN last year. They had two for Evil Within, Two for Wolf Creek 2, One for Cannibal Clowns and one for Rage Rampage ( even tho it didn't get chosen for the " Choose The Maze" Competition ) + they had posters all around the Gold Coast and Mick Taylor's Radio Quiz. The year before they had three behind the scenes promos + two commercials ( one shorter than the other) Plus they had the preview show at the parade. In 2012, they posted some promo videos which lead up to Jake Thrupp turning into a zombie plus the commercial. Purchase the fast track passes or get yourself the Ultimate Terror Tour package. Reminder : Entry isn't included in these packages. I'm guessing I'm going to get mixed reviews about the following statement but it's my opinion and I'm entitled to it but I actually prefer Fright Nights instead of HHN. Movie World posted this on their Facebook earlier today. You can tell it was taken in Crime Alley ( next to Village Bean - always referred it to Crime Alley cause that's where Batman would have his meet and greets) because of the posters and the Caltex ( I believe? Correct me if I'm wrong) sign in the background. A nice recognisable nod to the film.
  12. Do you think they'll upload more commercials for Wyrmwood, Wolf Creek 2 & Evil Within?
  13. Apparently there's a Zombieland 2 coming soon? Maybe that's why? They've done the walking dead twice so maybe MW wanted a different zombie based IP? Isnt it ironic that Zombieland will be in the same area where Batwing is - which is similar to the ride Emma Stone gets stuck on in the film.
  14. I'm sure by now all the mazes are completed and if you heard anything in those areas it could possibly be performer training? I'm surprised they haven't posted anything about shows or panic rooms or food yet.
  15. We had guessed it's a recreation of the first scene in Zombieland ( except in the film it's not on a water fountain). Movie World stated on their website that this is where the Zombieland scare precinct will take place. Also, the common theory is that they had set it up for the commercial then taken it down until it gets closer to the event. I'm sure it will be up in the next week-ish just before Fright Nights starts.
  16. Has anyone noticed anything new in the park that's Fright Nights related( including studio alley etc) ? Eleven days until the first night!!
  17. Look at the context of your messages. " how do you go through life?" Or " high and mighty rubbish." It seems a little hostile to me and I'd appreciate it if you weren't like that towards me please. Second, the comment you made about dropping the measuring wheel in the maze came across as sarcastic. I'm not starting an argument. I'm just asking you to please not be sarcastic towards me or too put down other people's opinions that's all ? if you don't agree with them that's fine but don't put them down or immediately say that their opinions are wrong. That's all, man. No problem.
  18. there's nothing wrong with me? I just don't understand why Brad2912 was being sarcastic towards me.Sure, he's allowed to have his opinion but there's no need for sarcasm. I'm not having a go at him.
  19. Look, I don't understand why you feel the need to come across as sarcastic or hostile. There's no need for it. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all ☺️ If you do not like a particular subtopic that is being discussed on this forum between two members, you don't have to join in. Have a good one, mate ?
  20. Why be sarcastic, dude? I'm just asking if the Freddy maze had less scenes or felt shorter than hillbilly slasher.
  21. Was the maze shorter than Hillbilly Slasher 2?
  22. I think this ad was for Friday the 13th and I'm sure they'll upload the other fright nights attractions ads soon ?
  23. Ah okay. I just realised WC2 is the first time they've used a licensed maze in show stage since Arkham Asylum( loosely based) and Freddy's Nightmare Maze.
  24. This is a bit off topic but did anyone go into Freddys Nightmare maze in 2010. How well done was it compared to the generic mazes they used in show stage?
  25. did they sell food whilst guests waited in line last year like they did in 2013? Maybe they are bringing that back this year?
