I guess when the carriage reaches speeds of 120-150 kmh around a sharp turn they gotta stop the pole from moving somehow ??

@Santa07 HELL NO

Yeah i get what your saying! Its just DW hasnt really added anything that is of similar caliber to that of tower of terror and the giant drop since they opened. Haha i mean DW will always have a place in my heart, for taking my theme park and rollercoaster virginity (no homo), and making me discover my love for roller-coasters. Its just they need to up their coaster game!!!

Great find!
Anyone know if that massive cement square was for a support pole or the loading station?

Slowly getting overshadowed? Slowly? Really?
Yes over the last 12 years with the inclusions of superman, green lantern and now the new "world class attraction"

Hahaha DW are already half way there, just continue building on top of the giant drop ?
-
Like what Hersey Park did with Skyrush
-
True! I just hope they tease us a little by giving hints.
-
DW still has quality world class rides such as the giant drop and tower of terror, but like what @Slick said these rides are old and are slowly getting overshadowed by MW rides. Thats why when MW get a hyper, DW should go one better ànd get a giga ?☺
-
Anyone know when they will announce the ride?
-
Dont get me wrong DW is still a great park with great rides and attractions, i just hope that their next ride is something more exciting then a flat ride
That is true! But for adrenaline and Rollercoaster junkies like myself and the majority of people in this forum, they would agree that MW has better quality rides. ?
Thats just my opinion!
-
I dont know the exact figures but i would guess MW and DW have similar attendance rates. But based on the quality of rides MW beats DW hands down in my opinion.
After the ned of next year i would presume MWs top 6 would be
1 ) new coaster ( possibly hyper)
2) superman
3) arkman asylum
4) green lantren
5) Scooby-Doo
6) either batwing or wild west falls
Vs DWs
1) Tower of terror
2) cyclone/ hot wheels
3) giant drop
4) buzz saw
5) mick doohan motercoaster
6) the claw

I remember when dreamworld was the superior park back in the day! Now they have falling off big time, especially if MW new coaster lives up to the hype. Sorry Dreamworld but you gotta lift your game if you want to compete with MW. And cheap flat rides wont cut it ☺☺
-
But fury325 is 99 metres tall so the foundation and rebarb would cover a ridiculously big area anyway to support the structure.
If anyone can find a pic of any hyper coaster groundwork feel free to post it to compare.

Some serious foundation!

if its VR does that mean you gotta wear those stupid head masks?

Who cares about fencing! As long as the rides good thats all that matters!

My only worry about a hyper coaster is the lack of land, because i looked on google maps and the land size for several hypers are bigger then that of the fenced off areas. The only design i found that fitted on a smaller amount of land was Goliath six flags MM. But who knows MACK designs the track layout different to BM, so im sure it could still be a hyper just more compacted

Thanks
1 hour ago, AlexB said:the thin strip of land leading to GL lends itself perfectly to a station house, and accompanying lift hill - roll out of station, do a u-turn just like GL does, then hit the lift - by the time you reach 'open land' you can be at the top and ready to roll!
Yeah i could definitely see that happening as the thin strip of land is almost useless for anything but a lift hill or launch
-
Ive been lucky enough to visit six flags MM, and a coaster like Goliath, x2 or full throttle would be an awesome addition to movie world.
Also does anyone know if the area fenced off is big enough for a traditional up and back hyper or giga coaster?
Dreamworld - no new roller coaster 2017-18?

Anything is possible! Im sure the designers can work with the area. Just look at skyrush its a completely different shape and style to the traditional hyper coasters, and its still a boom ride!
