  1. Here's our first inside look of AW's first attempt of a scare maze.

A bit of a shame that it seems as if guests will have to walk through the maze with some parts consisting of a sandy flooring (I'm pretty sure some will also consist of paving as the maze will be utilising the old pathway to the castle). Looks like I'll be wearing thongs during my walk through. Other than this it seems pretty cool.

  2. Things to note from today:

-Was decently busy today in park despite the overcast weather that Perth had experienced today

-Guests weren’t granted access to the park until approximately 10:20am this morning for unknown reasons, this included season pass holders entering through the season pass entry gate who usually can enter the park from 9:45am

-All rides were open throughout the day excluding the chairlift in which opened at 11 and closed at around 3, Inferno opened at around 11 as always

-After riding Inferno a few times and realising we were doing 5 shots ~ 0 drops, I decided to ask the ride operator why we weren’t doing any drops, she answered with, drops are broken, when we activate the drop cycle, the ride stops

-Kahuna Falls’ water affects throughout the whole attraction shut in the middle of the day for about 20 minutes whilst lifeguards and maintenance worked on filling a small ‘hole’ that had been punctured in the fibreglass waterslides at the top of the water playground

  3. Things to note from today:

-Wasn’t the busiest in park today due to being a colder day, warmed up throughout the day and Waterslides began to gain a queue

-Abyss testing until around 10:30am, seeming as if the trains where struggling to make it over the overbanked turn following immalmen loop after main drop

-New grass laid next to exit of Goliath, fenced off with temporary boundary, making it difficult to jump back in line after getting off

-Inferno running it’s usual cycle today, 3 shots~ 1 drop

"we haven't bothered to do basic cleaning and maintenance here"

On the bright side, atleast Wild West Falls.. I mean Abyss, isn’t closed for a whole year whilst they do some minor maintenance such as removing some spider webs.

I would say they look pretty real.

Agreed. Best cobweb theming I’ve seen at a so-called “fun fair”.

All this sort of marketing does is devalue records as a thing, like all those super niche Proslide records. Just market something for how good it is rather than some obscure fact that not even autistic super fans care about.

“The most advanced roller coaster in the world. The biggest, the fastest, the greatest thrill attraction ever built. THE DC RIVALS HYPERCOASTER - the best.”

    i have evidence people

I’m sorry but that’s a load of bullshit. Atleast @Tim Dasco point is valid and is actually realistic.

    Whoops.

Job well done, @Tim Dasco. I'm glad you did that as there are a few rides I wouldn't touch or I'd be one of those people on Goliath. The only park I've done all the rides on in one day was HK Disneyland shortly after it opened. I hope you avoided the spiders on Yarli's Safaris and @ABYSS didn't get too sick on the barrel spin.🤢

I managed to spin the Barrels a little to much that he said he wanted to do Yarlis Safari to recover. (Coming from a person who can do Rampage 3 times in a row)

    HAHA

  7. The Adventure World team are extremely excited for the launch of their first AW nights event tomorrow and have been doing many updates of preparation for the night on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

”Spotted! Flamingling around the park. TOMORROW NIGHT it’s #AWnights showtime! Better be quick and pick up your tix online now for your chance to win a Family Season Pass for the 2018-19 Season.”

  8. Not exactly related to mi4 but hey I’ll put it in here and keep general AW chat in here like for Goliath’s thread.

Today was a great day at the park with @Tim Dasco with a decent amount of crowds for what was a very hot day for the first half of the day and than which became very overcast. Great to see that the dragons kingdom characters are out and about every morning on weekends taking photos with people and that the photography team are always around the park taking photos of people around the park and especially on Goliath as it doesn’t have a photography system as it’s a pendulum ride.

Staff were full of enthusiasm as always braving the heat throughout the day and also entertaining the crouds filling the park. Big shoutout to Boden and Pamela for always interacting with guests and being kind to everyone. The AW staff team will be loosing one of their kindest and most interactive team members today, Pam who will be leaving the team due to personal reasons. Also a big shoutout to Shannon in the fairy floss cart for serving tens of families when the park had closed all by herself trying to ensure everyone could leave the park by 5:30pm.

Overall an AWesome day and couldn’t really be fucked reviewing my overall experience today because well, it’s the same thing I would write all the time anyways. (If you want my real reviews, hit up the AW 2017 - Goliath thread)

(P.S. Hey AW staff team! :))

A lazy river being considered a 'maximum impact' attraction is a bit of a stretch to be honest. Rather have something like a Boomerango, a watercoaster or an Aqualoop complex. Maybe even an Australian first slide like a Proslide FlyingSaucer.

A lazy river would be a capacity soaker that AW needs for peak seasons and with a lot of heavy theming that the team is capable of doing it could be classified as a MI. However I’m convinced it will be a Proslide and wouldn’t mind a hybrid with many elements including the flying saucer element.

    EDIT:

They should be going up and fixing Abyss for next season though. That ride was quite rough the last time I rode it.

Heard from staff within the last season that The Lagoon (Main pool) was going to be receiving some TLC. Do agree though, not to sure what they would do anyway.
