  1. I recently went to the park, and during the TT maintenance, they never got around to CLEANING the ride, since I saw some gum stuck to the edge of the seat. (It could be new though) I also noticed some dust on the middle "sheet" part of the ride, and it seemed bumpier than usual (I do not know if it was only for that one ride..)
  2. I have started to make a remake of The Big Dipper that used to be at Luna Park Sydney. I know that LPM also had a Big Dipper, and since it had the same layout, I am using photos from both parks to make the coaster. These are images of it so far, and if you have any suggestions, please tell me. I want to try to see what the ride was like. I will also work on the entrance and garden at the beginning once the layout is complete.
  3. No! I know that the Palace is Heritage Listed! What I mean is they can just use the building for functions, leaving the picnic area for more rides.
  4. Yeah, it was only a wish.. Another thing that could be done is remove the picnic area at Maloney's Coner. I doubt that will happen though, since there are many charity venues there. Anyway, there is still the Chrystal Palace. Woah! The things they can do in just 2 months is amazing!
  5. Yes, I would love to see what the park is doing now, since my annual pass expired. Last time I went, The ROTOR's facade was only a swirl. The one thing I want the park to do though, is remove the Big Top. It takes up most of the park, and that means there are not many rides. It looks like there is enough room for a smaller concert hall in Maloney's corner. The area that the Big Top takes up will fit those rides and more!
  6. Yes, thanks! I hear that one of them collapsed, and they removed the other for symmetry.
  7. Haha! I'm glad to see that this has been brought back to life! I completely forgot about Parkz! Anyways, my Annual Pass to the park expired in July, so I won't be going back to the park for a while. Anyways, I will try to get to the park before it's too late to sign the petition (September 30th). I am sad that they built the Hair Raiser without permission, and that links to the position the park is in now, but we are witnessing history repeat itself. Here is my proof: Spires being taken down (Yes, it was to get rid of the rust, but it looked like the 1980s for that 10-month period (I couldn't find a good image of the 1980s) Ride noise complaints *cough cough* Big Dipper II, the old arrow that is now at Dreamworld *cough cough* Government on both sides LP Management not knowing what to do
  8. Has this been abandoned? Maybye I need to quote someone... Will this work? Anyway, I will not be able to post here soon, because I am going to The Gold Coast for a theme park holiday... (since I have only been to LPS and LPM)
  9. Just came back, everything was fine but the face was undergoing repairs from the crane cable. Nothing much happened...
  10. I did not go to the Park today because my 8yr old sister had her communion, so I will go tomorrow because it is a student-free-day.
  11. Yes, that is the same booth thing and same logo. @AlexB was correct. Yes, Forgot to bring that up. The Ranger is confusing...
  12. Yes, that might be the case because there are two different ones, but I kinda think it looks like water guns. I will try to remember to take a photo on Sunday.
  13. I'm going to bring something up, the Water Wars thing at the end of the line for the Spider. I have seen that many times, and it is getting rusty. For some reason it has been moved. Behind it you can see a painting (Looking like one of the Before visiting, after visiting ads) behind the hedge. (I can't find a photo) But does anyone know what these used to be??
  14. I can't seem to find out how to add a filter into a forum... Am I not searching enough or is it hard to find... Anyway, thanks! And I am young and have a lot of homework and school, so sorry if I can't reply! (I keep forgetting to get a photo of the removal of the lighthouse. Sorry!)
  15. Uhh... I don't get it... (Please keep this forum clean) But I didn't know what was about those WildCats. Anyway, I have seen the kid actually working at Luna Park, so I kinda trusted him...
  16. I found a video by someone I have seen in the line for the Wild Mouse a lot! It has revealed that the first three rides will be a flying carousel/Wave Swinger, a Wild Cat and a new Big Dipper! The Ranger will also be replaced with a new version! This is the video! The Wild Cat should be similar to this!
  17. Luna park has had yet, another down since 1995! This one is not that bad but is going to be written down in the history books! The Milson's point ferry warf has been under repairs for over 3 months and at about 1:00 PM today (29/8/17), the 200 tone crane has snapped and sent a metal rope flying, damaging the blue part on top of the hair/spikes (whatever they are) In the above photo, you can see how the metal rope dangling from the top above the forehead Luckily, the park was closed today and nobody was harmed. Witnesses say they thought a bomb went off. "I heard the bang but didn't know what it was, so I jumped in the tender and raced out to see if one of our tenant's boats had exploded," Daniel Da Silva said The metal rope has been removed from the face and now people are trying to find out how serious the damage is.
  18. There has been a fourm post from @Jobe's account about Luna Park Sydney's new ride expansion. I posted on it, but then realised nobody has used it since July. So I decided to make a new one. I will also put my reply of @Jobe's one into this. Enjoy Hi there, I am new to ParkZ, but have been reading @Jobe's LPS fourms for a while now. I have a Gold Annual Pass and go to LPS every Sunday at 10:00 AM for an hour and a half, (I went today because its Sunday) and the first thing I have noticed is the lighthouse is now just some wooden frames. I asked the staff at Guest Relations and it is being taken down due to wind damage (because of all the wind last week) and water spray from storms. I also noticed, while on the Wild Mouse, The Flying Saucer's spot has got stars painted on the walls, and they repainted the New York skyline. Last week, sadly, I noticed that the Ranger is closed again and is still closed. The Spider/Breakdance's music system (or whatever it is called) is broken. The music kept turning on and off while loading people on and did not play at all during the ride. I have also seen some of the paint has fallen off and it is now showing it's original paint. Some gondolas have been taken off the Ferris Wheel for repairs. Every week there is gondolas being taken off and put back on. Also, with the ferris wheel, the light bulbs have been taken off. (just a last minute edit...) In this photo, you can see there are gondolas missing (above the red one over the carousel). The face also needs some work. They are working on the spires, which are now next to the Rotor. (I actually like it because it kinda looks like its the 80's.) There is also moss growing on the forehead and nose, and under the nose paint coming off (making it look like snot...). I have also noticed that on the bottom of the face, a hole has formed and a water bottle is trapped in the eyelashes. I hope LPS does not hesitate to work on the face (Like LPM did.) I have been to LPM and got the book. It is more of facts and photos than the LPS book, but it does say "The last time the face had a revamp, Mr Moon looked like he was a man who had barely escaped a house fire". I would hate tourists at the opera house, looking over at LPS like "That is one giant, ugly face" I hope all these are fixed in the next 5 years. Anyway, Thanks for reading this. (should I use these old emoticons?) Wait, is the lighthouse turning into a helter skelter? NO!
