  1. My mate just got back from the states (his first visit) and he bought the VIP Experience I havent done it, so not talking from first hand experience - but he said it was definitely worth it, and if he was to go back, despite now having done it he would buy it again. From what he mentioned you get: an extended backlot tour with a lot more stuff than the regular tour - see a few more sets, you get to go into the props room and actually touch and take photos with props from movies, you get driven around in buggy so not too much walking, you get a buffet lunch which was apparently very good, front of line access to all rides all day (no fastpass type time limit thing - just go to the front anytime you want) and 20% off all merchandise. All up pretty good - i'd definitely do it next time i head over

  2. got a ride on it today Theme wise it definitely is a step up from Lethal, everything looks right and good detail etc. Like most, i struggle to see the point of the massive outdoor area/movie theatre being not used at all. As an area it has so much potential, and i would have loved to have seen at least a 'walk through' of sorts as an entry point to the ride, with all the various villains visible and audio clips etc. It just seems like a waste unless the park has some other plans. Ride wise - i think the new trains are great, no concussion, i really dont think it is any smoother, there just isnt anything to smash you head against so its not as noticable. Not sure on the green buttons to release the harnesses - guess its a novel idea and if it speeds unloading in the long run then im all for it All up - i think its an improvement on Lethal Weapon as an experience - but i wouldnt be rushing to the park purely based on the re-theme and new train (thankfully i have a VIP pass and live 5 mins away so it wasnt a big deal)

  3. waner bro's own hanna barbera not just the cinamatic rights that why all new shows - movies made from or based on hanna barbera property's are made by waner bro's becouse thay own them and most hanna barbera shows are still on pay tv channel boomerang so im sure more kids whould know them more then u think thay also sell hanna barbera dvd's and toys in australia so someone must know who thay are im just saying that more hanna barbera property's in the park along side looney tunes whould be a good addition to kids wb hey if i does not work there not paying a licenceing fee to try out how it go's ?

WTF is Waner Bros and why do you keep saying that????? Clearly you are still in primary school, and maybe you watch HB, which is great that someone is, but i guarantee you not many kids these days are begging their parents to get foxtel so they can watch 'Boomerang' and 1980/90s cartoon repeats. HB as a licence, is not relevant - no matter which way you look at it. Not today, and not in the last 5-10 years really. It's classic, it was great, but not relevant. They just removed Lethal Weapon's themeing as the movie was no longer relevant and 'out of date' with the target market, and you're saying they should put in HB?? Hmm... what would get the kiddies more interested... Bugs Bunny or Captain Caveman? What planet are you from?
  4. They certainly seem to have gone with some lesser known villains for some reason (except for the Joker of course). I would have liked Scarecrow to have been included

Dont really agree, as you have mentioned, everyone knows Joker. Harley Quinn is quite well known as the Jokers offsider, is heavily featured in the games and anyone who went to Fright Nights would see the relevance to her character with Arkham. Bane is very well known, he was terribly portrayed in Batman & Robin and will be even more relevant once the Dark Knight Rises comes out. The only one that people may not be aware of is Killer Croc as he has not appeared in a movie previously - so unless you have played Arkham Asylum, you probably wouldnt be familiar with him. Who knows what form these 'inmates' will play. They may just be in statue form (like the characters in the green lantern queue), and as Killer Croc would make for a very menacing 'villian' given he is 11ft tall and weighs 580 pounds (so says his character ID in Arkham Asylum) he would be a great choice.
  5. the flintstones will be relanched next year ? waner brothers own hanna barbera that was also the thinking when thay built hanna barbera land at australia's whonderland but the hanna barbera property's proved to be very populer for 16 years ?

WTF dude? Firstly, learn to spell?? What the hell is Whonderland? There isnt a silent H after every word starting with W. Waner Bros?? Secondly, HB at Wonderland worked well because HB cartoons were still on TV! Ask anyone under the age of 15 who Snagglepuss, Dino or TopCat are and they would have no clue! Most would only know of Fred Flintstone because he is a pop culture reference and Yogi because they made a terrible live action/CGI film a couple years ago. Just because you own a property doesnt mean it will work in todays market, and owning a property in cinematic form does not mean you own the rights and licences to develop rides and amusements for it.
  6. he said that they were planing to change the track but they don't have enough time. But said it might be changed latter on.

No offence but that sounds like bull There's no way they would change what would have been extensive & expensive planning (not to mention waste the money they would have already spent on ordered new track sections) due to a timing issue. The new tracks would have been ordered months ago, so a timing issue now would not change the decision to go ahead.
  7. What indicates it will be themed to the video game? The theme of Arkham Asylum extends much wider than just the video game. Arkham is rumoured to play a part in the upcoming film anyway.

Exactly Arkham plays a part in Batman Forever, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and will have a major role in The Dark Knight Rises. It is synonymous with the entire Batman universe. There is nothing stupid about it Spencer, u clearly are just looking at it from the wrong perspective
  8. Spring opening for the second 'attraction' which will be about two weeks into the cinematic release of The Dark Knight Rises. I'd be saying those shadows are Batman, Bane & Catwoman

Actually I have just changed my own mind/opinion Those shadows are Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. So a 'mini' Justice League The question is what form will the attraction take?? I think we can safely say it won't be a Flat ride or coaster due to time and space constraints I'm thinking a 4D simulator themed to Justice League, in the BATR building using new simulator pods
