  1. Hmmm Well Q1 of this year ends in March - so if shooting was going to begin within 6 weeks, i think there would be a lot more info out about it Especially given The Dark Knight Rises will include a MASSIVE publicity campaign starting late May/Early June with Hardy will play a large part in, i call bullshit to either your entire story, or at least the timeline being early this year. I dont think there is ANY chance that the ride will be themed to Mad Max. No one under the age of about 25-30yrs old has even seen Mad Max or knows the concept. You would not open a ride based on it prior to production beginning on a movie. Terrible Idea Will be DC, will be Gotham/Arkham/Batman Universe themed - you can already picture Gotham from the re-invention on Chinatown in the pics below. Very similar architecture in the movies to what they are creating at MW

  2. I haven't been to MW in years but I am guessing that the wall at the end was not how it used to be. This was posted by the Theme Park Social Network on facebook. 403636_242846282463654_132673766814240_537377_1064017437_n.jpg After they have finished this and Maybe the replacement for LT they really should focus on Sea World for a change.

Money on sea world?? Penguin shores Castaway bay Sea viper re-launch Battle boats etc Dora show Nic refurb of kids area Sponge bob parade Hmm...think they've spend plenty in past 18months
  3. Wow, awesome trick back down memory lane. the last time i went on Gremlins i think i was 7 or 8 - very nostalgic watching that. Never saw Young Einsteins Gravity Homestead or Lassiters Lost Mine despite going to both parks when they were there. Strange does anyone have any footage at all of YEGH or LLM ?? Know of any youtubes? i've searched and found about 15secs of Lassiters but thats it

  4. I think this really highlights the difference in quality between the two parks. Yes, Movie World is severely lacking in attractions, but the ones they DO have wipe the floor with Dreamworld's. If we did a poll on flume/water rides too, WWF would mow down the competition. from DW.

Definitely The only thing I think DW has over MW is its kids area, the fact this it is a little more family friendly and will be moreso when Dreamworks area opens, and that is a longer day experience than MW at present
  5. DREAMWORLD VS MOVIEWORLD Movie World's 4 coasters have already racked up a massive 26 votes while Dreamworld's 4 only 7 votes. A big divide there!!!

That's to be expected though. No one in their right mind would vote for MDMC or Cyclone. Buzzsaw is barely considered a coaster. TOT2 isn't a coaster either but is a great experience Basically it's 4 coasters at MW vs 1 'non coaster' at DW
  6. Ok what about taking components of the track out and replacing them with something different like I don't know maybe the corkscrew park of the track. T
hat I believe would alter the layout somewhat...

I guess that is feasible ?? I'm just worried about the timeline. Any variance in structure and layout would thn require a full testing period before re-opening, but then again that may be necessary anyway with a new train. I wouldnt mind seeing a separate load/unload station if they were changing it up
  7. If I was designing the re-theme, providing they are not planning on using the space for an additional attraction, i'd be using chinatown as an inside walkthrough to LW (or whatever it becomes) Ideally - i'd be themeing the ride to Arkham Asylum, so you would literally walk through the cell block of arkham assylum (all indoors) which would be run down, the doors broken as if their had been an inmate revolt etc, and the idea behind the ride being that you are escaping Arkham along with the Joker or Bane or whoever. Maybe even the idea that the riders are actually the inmates of the prison, and we are trying to get away from Batman before he regains control. The walk through would end with riders boarding some type of transport vehicle to get out. I think there is lot that could be played on this theme wise, and it would fit in well with the twisting/turning/intenseness of the ride.
