  1. Given Dreamworld's clever signs reminding the guest of a ride closure due to maintenance (see below image), how do we think they'll advertise their temporary closure of Steel Taipan?

A short 5 minute brainstorm led me to the following:

We've temporarily slithered into brumation. We'll be striking again sssoon.

Taken this afternoon, no full circuits while I was in the park from 1:30-4:00pm

    Of all things, rocks?!

I mean, it does fit well with the ride next door...

Dreamworld has raised their bar with theming and landscaping for the new Steel Taipan.

Do you think the staff will have themed uniforms? And what Steel Taipan merchandise do you think Dreamworld will sell?

mmmm their is not exit through the gift shop?

A themed uniform would be cool.

Steel Taipan merchandise would probs be a snake soft toy, or Kenny and Belinda in some outback outfit/themed uniform (should ride staff wear one).

Given Rivals doesn't have an exit through a gift shop, Taipan having one won't be necessary.

Here's an update from this afternoon. ST was testing frequently so was able to get some decent footage!

Another angle of the sign; looks like the rockwork is shaped so you can sit underneath it:

Inspired by a certain other coaster's signage perhaps?

Buzzsaw getting cleared may open up a potential viewing area of the launch. I'd also like to see some audio tied to it, similar to what they're doing with the Road Runner Refurb.

This is the modern entrance sign is going next to Sky Voyager in Main Street.

That rock seat would most definitely be the instagram feature to Taipan (as shown in the tender).

Also, is it unlikely we'll see the construction of the entrance signage seen in the first tender image?

After watching the first 25 seconds of @OgreMagic's video, it appears they do sound a horn before a test run...

I have no doubt this will be a good ride presented well.
But what I see in this video (if I ignore the weird glitches) is a ride that seems awkwardly paced, not that thrilling, and a whole heap of unfinished construction, back of house views, and ugly plant like all the Sky Voyager A/C units.

I don’t know why you’d want that release instead of waiting till you can have something a bit more polished to present. It’s one of their biggest additions ever and I don’t think that particular video does anything to entice me to go ride it.

Energylandia did it well with Abyssus?

Also, I do understand where all parties are coming from in terms of this discussion, but honestly... Not that it means anything to anyone, or would anyone care, but still not a fan...

The horizon levelling is what makes the POV not as good as it potentially could've. For me, it takes the excitement out of the inversions - as for what @Slick wrote earlier, makes it look really jarring.

It's a love-hate relationship... But in all fairness, the positives do outweigh the negatives.

It ticks the boxes for a great pov:

    - Smooth (to an extent) ✔️

    - Good sound ✔️

    - Clear quality ✔️
