  2. Royal Melbourne Show 1994 1995 1997 1998 1999 2000 2002 2003 2004 Melbourne Moomba Festival (moomba Waterfest 2003+) 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 Sydney Royal Easter Show 2004 St Kilda Festival 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 Rye Beach Carnival 1989 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005
  3. and i got a pass for easter show, and then I got a pass for Melbourne show, and then I got a pass for the EKKA, it was crazy, I won no money but I still went
  4. yeah I really don't get that, I mean, yeah im all for the parks, but id rather fly to sydney for the easter show and luna park! but then again, you seem like you have a lot of spare time, so thats cool.... lol chris
  5. I don't really find it hard to choose which ones I want..... but I wish the prototype of Ranger would get developed and released. chris p.s when HUSS change their name to HUSSY MASCHINENFABRIK ill let you know
  6. LOL, well Faller is of such a high standard, they arent cheap.... don't think they are a rip off, cos they aren't ive seen other models, not from faller that are even more expensive
  7. ok, well get back on topic now, im ova the talk of bulbs
  8. Rainbow has never had a 100% bulb count, its just impossible, and I know that O'Neills wouldnt bother bringing the cloud to the bottom to change some bulbs, its not just that, its also the breakage of the caps.... nor are they going to bother getting on a ladder to change some globes that have blown at the top of the rainbow. its not as easy as you seem to think
  9. let the site do it, if you go to the home page, you can put it in english
  10. I don't either, but I find my way round the site, it doesnt have a full listing of rides, just the new rides for 2005, which are to be released late this year, ill be purchasing all 3 Circus World Octopussy Wilde Maus 20th Anniversary Edition heres the link for the carnival ride page, from the site I buy my rides from. http://www.modellbahn-kramm.com/D/nummern.cfm?nid=329
  11. In all seriousness, Rainbow is not one of the worse looking rides on the midway. Ive seen rides, that im not going to mention, because that could cause a legal battle, that have looked terrible, and still had a great response from the public. For rides like the Rainbow, its not as easy maintaining globes as some other rides, id like to see you and try keep a 99% bulb count, it wont happen, its just these things that happen. Rainbow's lighting isnt as full as 2004, but as ive seen how well Ranger has been fixed up after Moomba, Rainbow will surely have a nice refurb, if not shortly a full service when its due. chris
  12. Dj, Rainbow doesnt have its globes changed weekly either, nor do many other rides..... theres no need. Wittingslow used to change globes on rides every Moomba....
  13. no, I buy them from a shop in germany, where you can purchase them online too...
  14. exactly paul, I was just about to say, I just mentioned pirates cos thats such a good dark/water ride!
  15. I haven't tried it, but I don't plan to.... doesn't look that exciting, give me high, upside down thrills! love goin high in the sky!
  16. yes I do realise that Dr, but O'Neills aren't as rich as the people in Germany, and they sure don't have the money to be replacing globes every few weeks. Although the ride is slowly being done up (underneath the gondola, ALL lights are working, not even wittingslow had them all working) I was saying that in General, the ride is amazing to look at. Even though O'Neills model, isn't doing well on the looks, its mechanical side is top notch. Just watch how well the ride is able to sit midway for a few seconds! chris p.s The Pirates ride is definetly amazing! it looked fantastic on the dvd!
  17. all my models are from FALLER in germany, I buy them online.... unfortunetly there is no HUSS RANGER available, but Faller do have a working prototype, so we could see a release in the future, fingers crossed. chris
  18. Rainbow: Classic thrill, decoration and engineering from Huss, the ride offers unbeatable smoothness, and no other ride matches its quality. Since its debut in Australia in the late 80's, this ride has become a favourite of mine after first seeing it in the early 90's at Rye. Hard Rock: After having a ride at the 2004 Royal Melbourne Show, I knew I was hooked, this ride is by far one of the most fun and thrilling I have ridden, and at the moment, there is no other ride like it for me. Definetly a big fan now! and can't wait to have another ride soon Zipper: The mean mother of all fairgrounds, the Zipper is a recent fave of mine. I have always loved and respected it, but I never thought id get in one of those crazy Chance cages. January 7 was my first ride, and from then on I knew it was something special. May the Zipper reign on the midways for more decades to come Enterprise: My first upside down ride, a favourite that I have come to enjoy time and time again at Melbourne's Luna Park. With the combination of smooth thrills and fast speed, this Huss ride, is a great one to just relax on. TOP 10 Ride List: 01/ RAINBOW | HUSS MASCHINENFABRIK 02/ ZIPPER | CHANCE MORGAN MANUFACTURING 03/ HARD ROCK | STREET FIGHTER | TECHNICAL PARK 04/ ENTERPRISE | HUSS MASCHINENFABRIK 05/ RANGER | FAR FABBRI 06/ BREAKDANCE | HUSS MASCHINENFABRIK 07/ PIRATE | HUSS MASCHINENFABRIK 08/ RANGER | HUSS MASCHINENFABRIK 09/ CHAOS | CHANCE MORGAN MANUFACTURING 10/ WAVE SWINGER | WELLENFLUG | ZIERER MANUFACTURING WORST: TRABANT / CHANCE MORGAN MANUFACTURING / O'NEILL SHOWS Rode this one at Moomba, the cycle was too long, and wasn't fun at all, it may be a classic ride, but it's one to avoid from now on! You get your moneys worth, but the ride isnt fun at all Chris
  19. oh dont worry Kat, it will be, TPA will want it at the next 3 shows, no Doubt chris
  20. Scott, the only reason it didn't do the EKKA in 2004, was because it was still getting checked at customs, and Johnsons weren't ready in time to bring it to Brisbane, thats why it got removed from the list, and made its debut in Adelaide. 2005 Is looking to be not a bad year for the travelling industry. Theres the new rides, and even news of some old classics making a return to the shows. No word yet as to whether Turbo will be back on the scene this year, but it may even pop up for a Melbourne return. chris
  21. yeah Mark, they do come in kits, from Faller, amazing models, all motorised and all capable of being lit, like in these photos chris
  22. it can be done, but faller doesnt make them
  23. Well as the recent appearance of Sydney's Easter show last week, Rainbow had some new changes since 2004s show. The hub now has purple on the sides, and a new sign was added to the control booth. Also the ropelights were removed from the rays, and painted, now only featuring one red ropelight on each ray. The model has now been updated and stands with the original huss model. Original: Model: feel free to leave comments chris
  24. BLU, wittingslow havent supplied their EX-Zipper at a show since 2002..... from then it ran at rye, and st kilda festival, and 1 lygon st festa... 2004/2005 Rye carnival had Shorts operating their zipper with wittingslow. Zipper is now in NSW, so Wittingslow have once again sold one of their most famous attractions. Also Scott, yes im talking about a HUSS PIRATE, that wittingslow owned, it operated its last royal show at the 2003 Sydney Royal Easter Show, and then after that travelled to Asia to operate at the WORLD CARNIVAL, along with Wittingslows Huss Enterprise and La Bamba. Shame to see such an awesome attraction leave Australia, and Im still hoping it will return home. chris
  25. 2002 Melbourne show was really great.... 2 Zippers, Rainbow, Pirate.... and others, it was great! we only had MAD MOUSE, but still it was fantastic! 2004 was an improvement, but the absence of Zipper was terrible! lets hope Shorts bring it back this year! Also hope for Rainbow of course. chris
