  1. Cedar point in RCT3 with all the rides would probably make the frame rate of the most top of the line computer in the world drop to very low single digits. It would really like to see it though, and to go on the rides.
  2. Great photos. Really liked reading the comments. Looking at some of the photos of American parks has given me ideas as to what my next RCT3 park recreation should be.
  3. the two easter eggs that i use is renaming one of the guests to 'Frontier', this makes all the rides and shops never break down. Because it takes so long to build an entire park before opening it, the rides are usually old before I open the park, so they break down regularly, so this stops those interuptions. Rides in these game always annoy me because they break down too often. In real life they don't break down every five uses of it. The second easter egg to get the peoples perspective is to rename a guest to 'Jonny Watts'. I recommend putting it in fast forward though because they walk slow. And when you have a ride in the game like the mine ride in my dreamworld recreation, the line moves very slowly because it has poor load times, therefore it waiting 20 minutes in a line for a ride in the persons perspective can get extremeley tedious. P.S. Gazza, which RCT version did you use? and if possible, do you have any screens?
  4. I actually always thought that he was planning to build something big in brisbane near the entertainment centre, but those plans seem to have gone if he is going overseas, maybe he couldn't get council approvement in brisbane.
  5. If i moved it though the station would have to move, so there would be a large gap between it and the rapids ride station, as well the underground part of the rapids then has to move, and then so does the railway line, so it then puts everything out of their places.
  6. To answer some of your questions: Answer to Steve$'s question: My recreation of dreamworld is only really simple. The exact look of some of the buildings can't exactly be recreated due to lack of wall pieces in RCT3, as well as some of the colours can't be used for buildings. The other main part where RCT recreations fail is because they are limited to the 'grid', meaning it makes diagonals and all types of angles really difficult, where as real parks don't have to worry about it. Eg, the Chairlift in real life runs at an angle but since i can only build in straight lines in the game, for the chairlift to be able to pass beside the giant drop, i have to put a heap of corners into it (see screenshot). There are a just a few custom rides at dreamworld that aren't in the game, eg a spinning ride in the shape of a stingray, so I have to use the closest thing in the game and colour it blue. Most of the rides in Nick central i have no idea what I am going to replace them with as the game has very few like in that area, the same with the ride in the mountain thing next to the TOT entrance (if it is still their, I haven't been since the Nick central has been built) because their aren't any rides like that either. Answer to spoleweski's question: I will probably leave the paddlesteamer out. I might just use some of the walls and roofs to build a motionless boatlike building on the water, but that is all I can do. I could put a rowboat ride and people row themselves around but that will look silly and the guests when i open the park will probably complain that it takes them too long to get completely around. As for tiger island, in RCT2 I used to create the area and place the entertainers in tiger suits in and set their patrol areas so that they couldn't leave. In RCT3 there aren't any tiger entertainers so I will either build the enclosure and leave it empty or give the elephant entertainers orange suits? The rest of the animal enclosures I will just build, but there won't be anything in them, so guests in the park would be wasting their time walking up there because there is nothing for them to see or do. Answer to hurricane's question: Unfortunately I don't think RCT3 parks can be converted to RCT2, due to differences mainly in the scenery. None of the scenery in both the games are exactly the same, so it couldn't be converted. RCT2 rollercoaster tracks can be converted to rct3 coasters but sometimes due to differences in game physics the rides don't work correctly. Answer to HussRainbow and Paul_Hollibone's questions: After I finish dreamworld I might just work on my own park for a little while. I was having a quick go at one this morning before I started on dreamworld trying to design the 'perfect themepark' combining parts of many different parks, eg. I had a bit of seaworld with the monorail going out across the carpark, a bit of movie world with the moat and entrance gate, a bit of disney style here and there and a bit of one of the paramount parks by having an eiffel tower type thing at the 'hub' of the park. Whether or not I will continue with this after i finish dreamworld i don't know. I don't usually finish parks like that because I am a perfectionist and if the park isn't good enough for me I will start again. Where as with a recreation, I know that the park I am creating looks and works fine in real life so I don't stop. As for making more recreations, I'd like to do some of the other parks around Australia, but unfortunately I don't travel much and have never been to any of them. The only parks I have been to are the ones on the gold coast, but haven't been to one for a year or two now. It would make it really hard to build a recreation if I have never been there I think. Maybe I might try seaworld, exept it doesn''t have enough rides to keep me busy, or maybe I might do a RCT3 version of my RCT2 movie world, as I could copy my RCT2 version almost exactly using the grid. I'll have a look on the net and see what maps I can find to see how difficult some of the Australian parks are to create if I haven't been to them. If not, my next project might just be what a six flags park would look like if they built one in Australia, or an Australian disneyland or universal studios etc., I could take the styles of their american parks and give them an Australian theme. I hope I answered everyones questions.
  7. No, just putting in the house and the amphitheatre buildings that's all (just for appearance sakes).
  8. I probably will build a BB house. I will leave the waterpark and the BB things right until the end though.
  9. Thanks guys for the compliments. I can't wait to finish it either, but it should be done (hopefully) for the weekend or early next week. I opened the park today just to see what the guests thought of it and having 1000 people walking around and watching them on the rides, it was hard to get back to building. I like using one of the "easter egg" things in the game that lets you view the perspective from the guests point of view so I get a view of the park. I like looking at the rides in the distance, as they are in motion. Anyway, a few more screens. I have done most of the work now on rocky hollow and the log ride ride area. Every now and again I will add a screenshot with both the RCT3 version and the real life equivalent for some reason, today I have the two versions of the cyclone.
  10. Here are some more screenshots. If anyone has a particular request for a screenshot just ask. And the verticle loops in RCT3 are pretty much exactly the same as in number 2, as is most of the rollercoaster elements. The only new elements are overbanked curves and a zero g roll.
  11. Time for another screenshot from today's work. And before anyone comments, I realise that the thunderbolt is no longer at dreamworld, but seeing as how there are no rides currently in its place I decided to place it in anyway just to be able to ride it.
  12. Ok time for some more screenshots, I got a bit done yesterday. And I did a quick open of the park to see what guests though of it so far, they liked all of the rides especially the cyclone, exept nobody went on the wipeout. Unfortunately I have noticed on this game that nobody likes the top spin rides, so the game makers must have made the nausea ratings too high on it. Anyway, here are the new screenshots.
  13. As for me I just finished year 12 about 2 weeks ago. (I don't know what it makes me considering I am playing computer games in the period before I start University but anyway.)
  14. Originally i thought the demo had both an inwards and outwards version but unfortunately there is only a inwards facing one in the full version. Facing inwards ruins the view of the park in my opinion, even though I haven't been on one in real life, but going on the one in the game doesn't allow much of a view.
  15. I noticed in the news earlier that Steve Irwin (crikey!) is planning to build an Australia Zoo in the gambling capital of the world, Las Vegas. Do you think that the Americans will support the zoo and do you think that it will be a good investment for Australia's most unusual person?
  16. My apologies for jumping to conclusions. And despite never having been to wonderland, your park doesn't look that bad. What I did when I built in RCT2, I used the scenario creator to make a blank map of the largest size and then use a trainer to give me large amounts of money, and owning all land except for the entry paths. It makes it really easy that way.
  17. Yeah it has a top spin ride. But other than the gyro swing, RCT3 doesn't have many more useful rides than number 2 except a few more of the "fair" type rides like the zipper and the sky wheel.
  18. Time for some new screenshots. I am so glad I got this game, it is so much better than the games preceeding it. When you look around at this park from all the angles it looks so much like dreamworld (I am very proud of myself so far). I hope I got things around the claw area correct, I haven't been to dreamworld for a few years.
  19. I hope that it is not me that you are talking about as the one who gave up building Movie World in RCT2. If you look at the start of my new forum thread you will find the link as to where the download file is for the completed movie world theme park minus half a car park and a sound stage off the side, but the hole themepark is completed and available for download and seeing as how i know have RCT3, I wasn't going back to finish the old park.
  20. In RCT3, you can't share towers but by having the base of the TOT tower raised you can place the station to the drop ride underneath it so that the drop rides tower rises right beside it. As for drop rides, I am planning on using the roto drop one, which spins as it rises to the top, so not overly real like the Giant drop but the tower looks close enough. I'll post another picture of my progress tomorrow (I have built the main train station and part of the vintage car ride.)
  21. Unfortunately I don't think you can download more scenery for RCT3. So far, I haven't found much of a problem in creating dreamworld so far without custom scenery like I used all the time in RCT2. Anyway, here are a few more screenshots. I added in a rough TOT, but it still doesn't reach the station properly as it should. It gets close but not quite, I'll have to figure something out eventually, I might just have to make a few slight adjustments to dreamworld to make it work.

    JFK Reloaded

But there is also a huge amount of games about the wars of 1900's like WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korea, Middle East, etc. Where millions upon millions of people lost their lives. World War II for example, caused the deaths of 2% of the worlds total population at the time, that is about 61 million according the quick bit of research i did just then. Of course in the games about such devastating wars, american game makers create the premise of the game as to murder the "enemy", whether they be German, Korean, Vietnamese, Iraqi and so forth, yet they would be completely out of line when they made a game killing themselves? Don't get me wrong, I thought Sept 11 was a disgusting act and I feel very sorry for the families of those who were killed, but US armies have caused the deaths of many people. In my opinion, to win a war, a basic rule is that more of the enemy must die than the winning team, and seeing as how the US has not been defeated that regularly and has became the most powerful nation on earth to me means that they killed more people on opposing sides than were killed on their own side. Correct me if I am wrong though.
  23. Here we go - first screenshots I have done most of the building and am close to completing the gold rush country area. Since these images where taken I have completed the rapids ride, and I will get them up soon. Unfortunately from my quick estimate of the placement of the Tower of Terror, it is not going to work properly as the track is too long for it to roll back to the station correctly on the way back, so I don't have a clue as to what I am going to do there. Anyway, enjoy the screens, and despite RCT3 getting some bad reviews, when you look how much like the real dreamworld the game looks from the view of the people in the park it looks really amazing, and I can't wait to have the same view with more rides and everything off into the distance.
  24. For those who haven't figured it out yet, I have uploaded the movie world recreation to the beginning of the "Matty O's RCT 2 & 3 Recreations" Thread in the gaming section and I am in the process of creating Dreamworld in RCT3 so I will upload pictures when I finish trying to reduce their filesize.
