  1. So you're adding a non-tower ride that's appeared in 2 surveys, to a message posted on facebook saying they're doing something with superman, and from that you get "we're building a drop tower themed to doomsday" ???????
  2. Good point. I didn't even think of the access to it. No idea where else then apart from an extra soundstage. Although, didn't they put one in the dodgems area one time? I remember a pretty cool looking creepy clown maze.
  3. Looks like digital rather than optical zoom. No idea why that was ever implemented into cameras. Given that it's a photo of the sign, it still looks like it's got vaseline on it. And I agree - Drop Zone. That name doesn't really fit with the Sky fly though.
  4. ^^ Yeah it's blocked off, but that's why I was looking at it for a maze location. They're not using it for anything else, so why not if there's space available.
  5. Ignoring the usual piss-poor reporting we have this. I have no idea if even of these rides are the one in question as the captions claim it's both, yet they're completely different. http://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/tourist-jamie-norman-could-have-been-killed-on-benidorm-waterslide-vertigo-when-trapdoor-failed-to-open/story-fnizu68q-1226987305175
  6. Show stage 2x sound stages Scooby The spare/maintenance side of the Mini Car building The walkway area of the Kids WB area maybe (haven't been down there in a long time to know what space is available)
  7. Maybe, but it would be completely out of place. I'd say it's more because they have to promote the Dreamworks movie as part of their deal with them. Or it works for mutual publicity.
  8. I'll be keen to see what they do with this new one. Sure there's not much that you can really do with flat rides (excluding the likes of Disney) but as I do hope they try something. Wipeout looks like it's getting a bit of theming love which is great. On the other hand though you've got Shockwave and the Claw that don't really have much going for them. Sure, Claw has some feet but that's really about it. In saying that though, I guess we can link Ocean Parade together....... The turbine from Shockwave which they use to create the continuous wave for Flowrider has malfunctioned and caused a tidal wave for Wipeout (ignore the fact that it faces the wrong way, just work with me here) that tidal wave has then angered the giant Claw monster thing which has accidentally "attacked" the surfing beach as it was trying to escape the tidal wave. Now that we've got the Skyfly thing coming in, that will be the rescue planes circling above looking for survivors. edit- Reef Diver - Yes and No, it was old and losing popularity, but also being expensive to fix when it broke down. Avalanche - I'll agree with you here, this always seemed to be an "introduction to spin-n-spews" so catered for the young teens. Eureka - Pretty hard to go on a ride that was broken down and too expensive to fix. Paddle Boat - They did that to themselves. Cost cutting forcing the closure of the on-board show and there was really nothing to the ride apart from that. Of course no one wanted to go on it.
  9. ^^ Aren't you the one that just hates everything though? Given that Wipeout and Claw are two or their most popular rides and Pandemonium has been busy even on quiet days, clearly a lot of people do enjoy spinning rides. I personally don't like them (although Shockwave is ok, but nothing to write home about) but I can see their thinking. They're cheap, don't take up much space and most people still flock to them.
  10. LT still exists today though. The new stuff is actually pretty good. Not as good as the original, but it's still good.
  11. I heard this "Parkz" site was only set up after the raging popularity of Theme Parks a Go-Go
  12. It was still LT themed when it was renamed. I was meaning for them to replace a LT ride with another LT ride, not change the theme. The area itself is still reasonably LT themed, now this ride seems out of place a little.
  13. It's going to take one stupid idiot to get over the fence* and try to touch someone and with the threat of a lawsuit the fence will be redesigned again. * Assuming they go with a basic easy to pass fence. (I am too tired to look at the pics again to see.
  14. You're "joking" after you've been called out on your mistake? Or by posting "have they got their damn likes yet?" we were supposed to know you meant "they didn't tell us jack shit" ? Doesn't exactly read as "once we reach 2009 likes we'll tell you everything about this ride" It's supposed to be a "clue" to incite community engagement, what's the point of just telling us all straight away?
  15. The only thing I don't like about the mini cars, is that it's removed the LT theme. I just wish they'd found a way to keep it.
  16. I don't know if there's been a change in management or what. Maybe the decision makers all took holidays, came back and saw what was going on with the park and realised they need to fix it up. Great job from them to be honest. I do hope they are reading, and if so PLEASE CLEAN THE AREA UNDER THE SHOCKWAVE - IT LOOKS LIKE A RUBBISH TIP - If you've already cleaned it since last time I was there, thank you. And I wouldn't say MW is lacking in this area, they seem to be listening with the FoF surveys and taking out some ideas I can only assume (and hope) they got negative reactions to.
  17. Not really. With a massive amount of the population connected on facebook it's one of the easiest ways to get the word around where people can "share" and "like" the posts and spread the word better and faster than any advertising can do. I know from running my own page that FB has changed how your posts show in a news feed. For example, I (sadly) only have 20 people like my page. My latest post was seen by 5 people. That's because the ones who have joined don't usually "like" or "share" or comment on the pictures. As a result, FB decides they don't want to see them any more and they're hidden from the news feed. The more a post is "interacted" with, the more future posts will show in the news feed. So by asking for "likes" it's just ensuring that future posts they make will show in more of the feeds of their followers without having to pay extra.
