Yep Anaheim is like that sort of... it is a EMV (enhanced motion vehicle) system and the 3 doors at the start more with walls to change which door you go through, than the first rooms scenery roof changes depending which door it was and also the vehicle has different movements for each door goto here-http://www.scottware.com.au/theme/feature/layoutmaps.htm and select indy its animated track layout and shows how the three track, doors system works. this ride is incredble it just WOW's you

Yep Sorin is a simulator unique to disney they invented this new kind of simulator, exellent family ride you feel like your hang gliding over california its FANTASTIC!!!

Yeah it is just some fun, was not as good as i remember (i was 12 last time ) plus ive beenon heaps better (grizzly at DCA) but always liked those rides in any form, except for the random dinosaurs in the cave and same goes for rocky hollow

I was also looking at the claw which they did quite well and just kept thinking next time im here it will most likely be faded and looking very worn unfortunatly

Ok day two we went to Movieworld got there on openign and went straight to scooby doo. Scooby doo was great a wlak on and the themeing impressive (not disney thiemeing esp in queue it is greatly themed but runined when you look up and just see air con tubes etc needed to theme the roof) up untill the lift there on it was a mad mouse in a Shed with some unique elements NEEDS TO BE DARKER!!! it is more fun in dark coasters when you cant see the track, but this was one fun ride and smooooth! whcih i loved went on it about 8 times in the end fantastic best coaster in Australia witht he best themeing of a coaster in Aust. (not that that was hard to beat) but really well done WB's they definatly do themeing well for australia this is a true THEME PARK! Then off to Wild west falls, which would have to be the best themed ride in australia its just beautiful!!! the queue is ok nothing spectacular but got through it always with no wait, even rode throught a couple of times! now the ride- smooth! long and senic with great twisits really close to a disney satandard, just replace the video parts of the ride with AA's of people plus a few AA's in the shootout area and indian part this would be as close to a disney ride in australia, i just absolutly loved this ride, one dissapointing part is view, at one point you can see the back of the mountain an see its just scaffolding and suports, its after the backwards bit they really need to fix it so you cant that sucked, but in final what a great long ride with story and fun and yeah just outstanding for a Aust. park! Ok next was police acadamy show - quickley was prettty crap looked very dated nothing too great happened and the helicopeter blew! you cna see the pole and when it slowley decends back beind what a yawwner and i think everyone new that the guy they picked out of the audience was a fake, my friend pointed him out as a guess as the fake as we walked in. they need to replace this show. ok next well we skipped batman heard it was average and ive been on better. so we basically shopped ridid those two rides over and over whatched the dated marvin 3D movie, looked round and left at 1pm!!! wow this park looks great but is not a full day park! granted leathal wepon was closed but still not a full day park!!!! there are too many shops!!!! and they all sell the same crap! this park really needs more rides! superman sounds great but they need more its truley struggling to stay theere more than 4 hours. Movieworld was better than dreamworld because it had longer rides with themeing and story (im a disney freak i need the story and themeing in a ride ) there were still parts that were faded here as well, (many parts of looney tunes land) dont aussie parks beleive in paint???? The Wild west area was well done perfectly themed just needs more to do down there another smaller ride or somthing even a restraunt with show in it in a saloon would be great! i realy loved movieworld pleanty of street shows and characters around which was great to see this is definatley my favorite australian park. but much work to do! really needs to be updated in areas and and fledged out to a full day park. and TOO MANY SHOPS!!! but all in all the rides were great, enjoyed them and help sooth my ich till i get back to the USA in september and get to go to the best themepark there is Disneyland!

Ok spent the week up in QLD and of course went to Dreamworld and Movieworld, first up with Dreamworld- Got there bit befroe opening and looked around before rides opened, than first went on Giant drop, scared the crap outta me, but really nothing special. We than went on the River Rapids, which i didnt get wet but was still fun this was the first ride id ever been on when i was 11. (went on later in the day and seemed rougher which was great!) Than went to the claw this was great!! smooth trippy and good time up there went on this 3 times that day always on the next cycle little or no wait. Than went on the wipeout, last time i was here i chickened out on it but my mate dragged me on, WOW! it was fun but scary esp. when flipping and ya butt falls out of the seat scared the crap outta me but this is proberly the best ride dreaworld has good ride time, high capacity and the most thrilling! went on this about 5 times that day. Ok than we went onto Cyclone and wow what a piece of crap! its rough (classic arrow!) fast and just not really fun except the first inversion if you can get past the concussion you get from your head being smacked around the restraint :( terrible ride fast thats it and the queue sucks!! Ok onto the Tower of terror, now this was fun!!! except it went down everytime we queued for it! the acceleration on this is soooo much fun i just loved it! and the second time we were about to go on it went down for the samw reason again it had gone too far back so they had to reset the ride so we waited aobut 10 minutes then got on and went twice in a row they just checked our restraints again and off we went it was great. on let down the run down confussing queue what crap and the vandilism just terrible, esp the damn video screens had to watch that drag racing crap sooo many time but this ride was fantastic!!!!!!!!! Also went on The Rocky hollow flume fun nothing special (WWF just craps all over this one!) and did eureka, fun but rough glad the carrige was cushioned! when you bout to go up the chain lift OUCH!!!! just aobut puts ya back out! and too long of a wait for such a short queue! also did the carrnie ride in the mountain in nick central fun. SO had a fun day, but a few observations: PAINT!- wow the upkeep in some areas is terrible!! esp nick central this was very dissapointing everywere was faded the place was looking very six flags if you know what i mean! and the TOT queue terr it down just switchbacks would be better undercover with mister fans around it this queue annoyed the crap outta me!!! What Dreamworld really needs next is a people eating high capasity ride that lasts more than 90 seconds!!! there are too many short rides here esp considering three of there major rides the longest one is like a minute!! and they need to add block brakes to cyclone and run two trains shhesh!!! another wipout capasity ride with good length is needed!. but all in all had a fun day just needs some spurcing up and such defenatly a fun AMUSEMENT park. (definatley not a theme park)

when your in the lift look at the floor round the walls and roof, the laser light is cool but there really isnt much fx's if it was darker and you couldnt see the track they could do some mad effects! still absolutley loved it!! jus tnot disney ! plus the lights show that the room is just a giant shed

Revenge of the mummy hollywood or florida florida is apparently pretty cool but from what ive seen and heard of hollywoods it blows! its short and they hyped it up and said it have all this stuff and it didnt and people were pi**ed!!! but i mean look at jurassic park fantastic ride its upthere with disney for sure!!

ok wow been gone for a week and this has exploded, just my view just been in QLD and went to movieworld and dreamworld, weill post atrip report soon, ok those who think scooby achives disney themeing uh no! it starts off great and definatley WB is the closest we have to disney i was quite impressed, but unfortunatley when scooby enters the shed and you can see cracks of light and the mad mouse track, and teh cheap looking xmas tube lights all over the walls. it lost its chance at sorta disney which sucks cause the ride is brillant i loveded it! the best ride in australia, i personally think if Wild West falls didnt have the video screens through the ride and had AA's instead talking there it would be disney quality ride except the one point you can see the scafolding on the entire back of the ride. WB movieworld was great!!!! ive heard people say it comes down to money and if otheres had groups like imagineering and money they could beat disney, just to wreak that. Universal have ther Universal creative group that is a division that souly makes and designs Universal rides and they come close to disney but still cant beat em and they have money allright!!!

Easily! I'm a sharholder in Disney and just got the 2004 annual report Disney parks and Resort divison made in revenue last year 7.8 BILLION largest percentage of that was was from WDW, so they can easily captilize from building a $100million dollar attraction that will just bring in more deep pocketed tourists to WDW. Disney always spends major bucks on attractions Mission Space cost a cool $500 Million! and they always turn a massive profit. i cant think of a ride added to a disney park that cost less than $20million (pooh at disneyland cost $40million and if youve ridden it youd wonder where the hell the money went.) (barr the carney rides in DCA inparidise peir section) 3. ok i peronally dont have experience but my uncle works for disney parks and resorts in the head offices in burbank and travels to them all frequently (currently in hong kong at the site of the new disneyland) Basically every disney park gets a budget for these things goes into approval in burbank, animal kingdom needs everest it is lacking rides and this is on a way to help it come a full day park. and simply they can spend this kind of money cause the money will come back from guests this is a park that gets 7.5 million + guests a year. Simply put it makes more money than WB and this is an investment they will see returned with in 1-2years. and the detail in this ride and effects is goign to be amazing! Thats were the money is going, into track, structure, themeing, landscape effects etc etc 4. Expedition Everest the track is alot longer than scooby, and isnt a building its in a man made mountain with show scenes inside it (kinda like the matterhorn but on a much larger scale! huge it will be), and the mountain at its peak will be 199ft (200ft + structurs must have airplane warning lights on them thats why disneyin florida wont build ride stuctures higer than199ft, tower of terror is 199ft in florida too.) and to agree with others, yes its the imagineers that make it happen(the pure themeing and story etc) they are the best in the field wth the right budget they can make the most amazing attractions there are. hope i helped

Pirates is constantley refurb, but not really had any major upgrades purley because it doesnt need it. I mean the boats have been changed and the outdoor queue entrance has changed. The Auctioneer AA(audio animatronic) is the most sophisticated and updated AA in the world. everytime walt disney imagineering (WDI) develop a new AA process/system they test it out on the auctioneer at disneyland. Other changes happened in the 90's because of P.C. a scene where piarates are chasing women is changed to them chasing food. (can only hope it gets changedback like the guns came back to the jungle cruise) Pirates is the ULTIMATE family dark/themed ride it is the benchmark for all other boat dark rides around. A true classic that has stood the test of time. It fully immusres youin the story and takes you away. on jimhillmedia.com there is a story about therumor of putting in a nighttime changeover in pirates interesting read.

^know what ya mean we went dec 2003 and it was of course down but will be back sept this year so i will be able to ride!!! in a way its new, brand new track and all new vehicles, sound system and score and brand new never seen before SFX apparently will blow you away cant wait!!!!

many strong rumors are swirling around that space mountain will reopen now on 17th july instead of november, except an anouncement on it may 4th CANT WAIT!!!

Indy has a story its all in the pre show movie room and the queue from the begining! It's allbout discovering this temple in the jungle to find the fountain of youth inside and not to look into myra's eyes yada yada yad, thats why the few parts where you see paintings and sculptures of myra throughout the queue and bording her eye's are covered than the first scene you see her eyes as you enter on of the three destiney rooms, than beacuse you look into her eye's the path to desctruction begins. and you than find that indy is in the temple still discovering more and he helps. if you ever get the chance the book- the art of imagineering is an exellent read it show Big thunder mountains back stories and many others and how they design basically and also how every ride is built of a story. Also its got heaps and heaps of great illistrations and ride concepts. im actually going to MW next week so should be interesting never been really looking forward to seeing the scooby doo ride

Hey your doing the same route i did last year Anaheim, Vegas , NYC There was a tour of the oc locations here's a link disscusing it,however dont know if they still do it as the website no longer lists it. But vegas is really cool esp. after dark. cant wait to go back in september but ill be 21 this time. New york dosnt have any parks or rides, but has so much to do and see the best city in the world and it really never sleeps, you'll proberly never stop the whole time your there and when ya leave still not have seen everything. Also whatch your money NYC is more expensive than la and vegas. Except for cabs cabs are cheap and fun just about like a thrill ride there insane, ontherwise the cheapest way around is the subway like 4 bucks a day. hope you have a great time!!!

Just rmember its disneylands 50th aniversary this year so expect it to be busier than normal, off season weekdays should be good still but weekends most likley will busier than usual. For me id say 3 day stay at Disneyland and DCA (using a park hopper, these are the best parks a MUST!) If you like movies do universal on a weekday and grab a taxi to WB studios and do there tour its 2 1/2 hours long and so much better than universals only 6 people per tour and you go on sets and get off the buggy in the backlot to get a closer look (plus you see stars walking aorund cause there actually working were you go. we saw matt leblanc, jenifer aniston, david schwimer, charlie sheen and some of the west wing people) do this in the morning than spend the rest of the day at universal you will still get everything done esp in the off season. plus a taxi from the entrance of universal and back is only like 10 bucks Use your other day at knotts great for some coasters and fried chicken (delicious!!!) magic mountain is a b**ch to get to from anaheim and a dump apparenty but lots of coasters.so instead on knotts you may prefer magic mountain enjoy!!!!!!
