  1. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but it looks like Wet 'n' Wild Sydney will have an RFID system similar to Fastpass+ in Walt Disney World called MyBand. It allows you to upload money, like a prepaid visa, and then spend it around the park on food and merchandise, as well as being used as your entry ticket. If this goes well, hopefully we'll see this move up to the Gold Coast!
  2. Does anyone know whether the Fast Track pass is for a group (like Q4U) or limited to one person (like Fastpass)?
  3. So I'm guessing Carnevil is the new show?
  4. I would love The Darkness to be something similar to the House of Horrors at HHN in Orlando last year. This maze was pitch black and had white accents around the maze (presumably blacklight paint), which light up when a strobe went off. Youtube Link (Not Very Good Quality, Night-Vision ruins the effect):
  5. I don't think Dreamworld's going to die out anytime soon. It hasn't gone that downhill. In fact, I think DW still has a long life ahead of it.
  6. Why? Was it really bad? I didn't go back in '09 so I'm just a little curious
  7. I've never used Fast Track before, and I was wondering if any knows whether or not Fast Track passes work for a group (like Q4U) or are individual. If it is individual, there is no way in hell I am doubling my ticket price just to skip a maze.
  8. Quick Semi-Important Post I think the maze list has been partially leaked on Themeparks.com.au. Firstly, there's a subsection under Fright Nights devoted to Fast Track, and this is what it says... So I guess ispy was right! The two we already knew, a sequel to Hillbilly Slasher and a brand new maze only known as the darkness. It looks to be available on all nights and cost $40 for non-VIP's and $30 for VIP's.
  9. Nice find. From the video and the concept, I would take the Batwing over Doomsday.
  10. At 145m, I think it would definitely be visible from WWF, as well as from the Giant Drop at Dreamworld.
  11. How about we get a quick tally of who would like to see the Doomsday Tower at Movie World and who's against it?
  12. That would be a nice touch to have an interactive queue or a pre-show (or both if we're lucky), but can't Movie World move away from the DC Comics license and start making rides themed around the other great movies in their catalogue? With it being too similar, I both agree and disagree. Sure, other parks around the world do have drop towers and another tower ride (Wind Seeker, Parachute Drop, etc.) in the one park, but as colliric_855 said, a smaller park like Movie World probably couldn't handle having two of the possible eight rides being very similar.
  13. My biggest problem is that I feel like Movie World could use the resources and money on a better ride. Maybe a Charlie & the Chocolate Factory Dark Ride? A Gangster or Mad Max Ride? Not to mention they already have the Mini Cars Driving School sitting dormant at the other end of the park.
  14. I'm not sure I really like it. It does look fun and thrilling, but I think Movie World could do better. Thats just my opinion.
  15. Fast Track for Fright Nights? I haven't heard anything about this...
  16. I don't know whether to believe you about the lineup for two reasons. Firstly, the Twitter prank has got me suspicious about everything Fright Nights. Secondly, getting info from a ride op is a unreliable source; he could just be pulling your leg about the whole thing. We should get some info any day now. I'll guess we'll just have to wait and see... Quick Edit: If any of you guys see an ad for the VIP pass focusing on the free upgrade to gold, look out a for the short snippet of the "Ringmaster" when they mention entry to Fright Nights. I would get a link but I can't see it anywhere on youtube.
  17. I'm probably missing something, but where is this information about the mazes from? The Fright Nights Site and the Movie World Facebook haven't been updated...
  18. When do you think we will get some real information other than dates? Last year it was announced on the 7th of September, so should we find out any day now? BTW, the Fright Nights site says in the overview section that it is from 6-11pm, but then the FAQ says 10:30pm is when it finishes. Would the park actually shut at 10:30? Or is 10:30 when the lines shut?
  19. I know that I cant go during the day, but I'll see if they can. Thanks for the help. BTW How long were the queues for the rides and mazes last year?
  20. Enough time for just one? My friends really want to go on Superman while I want to do all the mazes. Is it possible in one night?
  21. For me and the group I'm going with, I guess "Less Crowds" would probably be best, seeing that most of them haven't been to MW before and want to ride some of the major rides. I know we definitely cant do the 31st, so would you recommend the 2nd weekend (12th)? Or would that be too busy and still have some problems?
  22. Chucky's Insult Emporium looks pretty good and Fright Nights is for "Mature Audiences" so I could see us get the insult emporium in one form or another. BTW, Is it better to go towards the beginning of the event (5th, 12th) or the later half (18th, 19th, 25th, 26th,31st)?
  23. It's probably just hype for the Walking Dead, but do you guys think we will have anything else come back from last year?
  24. Looks amazing! Why cant we get this at Movie World this year?
  25. I would actually love to see a maze featuring Chucky, but thats just my opinion
