  1. And it has broken down again, but this time it made the news. It was no different to the other times really.
  2. It does sound like a lot, but it is mainly just finishing touches now. The only major part to it is installing the gondola and as you said the rest can be done after its installed. Remember the original completion date was 30 June, so I would expect it will be back open in the middle of the month.
  3. For the people who have recently been to Dreamworld, do you think that Wipeout is close to finishing? Such as the final coats of paint, pathway, queue area. Because soon as these are done the gondola will be installed, then the water will be put in place and testing can begin. I know that it is obviously nearly finished because it is nearly July, but do people think we will be seeing testing within the next week, or two?
  4. Such as the Motorsport (or something like that) world which has been mentioned before. Move v8 thing next to MDMC. And use some of land is the centre of the lake and add another ride of some sort. A roller coaster would be good.
  5. I don't think it will any time soon. The ratings are high, especially for eliminations. Dreamworld have to many benefits and attract more and more guests when the show is running.
  6. I am pretty sure that sign has now been removed. I am pretty sure, but could be wrong, but I think the land for the town centre is on the other side of the road (Coomera train station side), unless the shopping centre is on both sides. But remember it was cancelled back in 2008. They could have done something then. Instead they just rented the house out to people for parties, etc. I would say that it will be a few years before it will be cancelled again. A new generation of people are watching it now, it is one of the most popular shows on tv. Exactly. If Dreamworld want to expand the park with new attractions, they should replace eureka mine ride and blue lagoon.
  7. Well 2 of them are basically the same slide. But yes, I have got good odds. But I think you have definitely got the best bet. The odds for you are really high
  8. I would say at this stage they are installing the piping and other ground work. Also, Dreamworld have changed their website to just say: Major makeover of “Wipe Out” – Coming Soon. I would say that the other makeover will be happening next year
  9. My bet for what WWW are getting is either a PROSLIDE TORNADO 12, PROSLIDE TORNADO 24 or PROSLIDE TORNADO WAVE AND PIPELINE WAVE
  10. I would say that there will definitely be a one way system. As previous/current staff members have said on these forums, when they have to operate the Speedy's Cars and Taz Dodgems, some kids struggle to operate them at first and just drive around crashing into everyone and everything. If they want to teach kids about road safety, MW aren't going to let them do what they want, otherwise they will be on the wrong side of the road and crashing into each other.
  11. Maybe they are adding the 'Happiness' part to the logo now. It's on their website and all adverts.
  12. Has anyone noticed any signs of where the new New Food Outlets and Coffee Shop will be going? I'm going to assume that one would be going in WWW because they have only got one major one and a couple of minor ones.
  13. Does anyone know where the Dreamworld logo has gone and why it has so? Would it just be for a repaint. If so, it seems Dreamworld has come to realise that the park was starting to look a little run down in some areas. I think there are a couple of rides, such as the claw, that could do with a repaint (which could be done in maintenance). It just brings rides back to life a little. Also, how difficult can it be for Dreamworld to simply remove, or even better replace old and worn out signs, such as the one at MDMC. And surely it can't be to difficult for them to install a filtration system, or something to keep the water moving, so it looks cleaner.
  14. That is true, but I am sure the road will be split in half (otherwise the kids will always be crashing into each other). When they are driving towards the screen, the road could become very narrow, just so the cars can get through, ensuring the kids keep driving straight and not crashing. I don't think they will install a screen at all anyway, and if they do it won't be so they can see themselves.
  15. I think what would be good and something kids would love, is if they had a tv at the end of main street, like they really do. Kids could see them self on the screen as they drove down main street. It seems that most kids like it when they see them self on tv. Just a thought.
  16. I think it would be good if they restored the log ride. If they do so, I think they should almost just start again. Fix up the station, so there is shade, fix up the theming, to change the major lift hill so its smoother and its much darker. They should also change the route of it. There is nothing wrong with the current one, but if they are going to change it, they need to do something major. Otherwise changes they make could just be done in annual maintenance. The attractions I think they will makeover will either be the cyclone, river rapids or log ride. Just a thought though and I think this is very unlikely, but there is always a slight chance; they might makeover the eureka mine ride. It is still all there, all they need to do is upgrade the entire system and give it a makeover so it doesn't look as bad as it does now.
  17. Maybe they will just make a model of someone of the rides, if they do at all. It looks like there is a fair bit of road to the side of the main street section.
  18. Just out of interest, are the RIP and BRO closed while this new slide is constructed? Also, just to clarify, is this the site of the slide: If so, would that mean the path of the RIP would change? And where do people think the queue and splash pool will be for the new slide?
  19. The picture doesn't have enough pixels for us to tell really. The right does look like the mountain of WWF, but I would also say that it is just the theming for the looney tunes.
  20. I personally think they have done a good job of that wall. I suppose it is now it is like Movie World with a Looney Tunes World. As reanimated35 said, at least they have linked it back to Looney Tunes. From that image it does not look like they are using the whole building. Maybe the other half will be for storage, or for future rides. Or maybe the ride even goes back there and some effects and animatronic looney tunes characters.
  21. If they are going to do a mini movie world they need to have them, otherwise its main street, with a few white buildings. They probably will do that. To the people who have been to MW and had a look at this, how big are those buildings. From the photos they don't look much taller than 2 metres. Any ideas?
  22. The thing I don't get about this idea is, why a mini movie world? Why not a looney tunes themed world. When I am on a ride, I want to feel like I am not a the park, but instead been taken on an experience that makes me forget about everything else and just focus on whats going on around me. So I don't get why would someone want to go on a ride, to drove around the exact place where they came from. Yes I understand it is for kids, but couldn't they make it a bit more exciting. For all we know there could be something added to it, to make it more interesting, but from everything we have heard, I don't think that is the case. They already have to ride in the area for kids to drive around in. Why another one. Hopefully they will get rid of Speedy Taxi's once this opens.
  23. I think this attraction could be a good addition to the Kids WB area, but they need to remove Speedy Taxi's once it opens. I don't think this ride will be no where near as good as LTRR was, but if Movie World add plenty of detail and theatrical elements to the ride, it could be something that will better than we all think.
