in that time Sea World has been through at least two generations of their kids land

Cartoon Network Cartoon Beach, Sesame Street Beach, Beach Break Bay and now Nickelodeon Land. It’s crazy it’s gone through that many in the same time that Kids WB has existed and hasn’t really changed. They did add the carousel and pounce n bounce (which didn’t last long).

But I 100% agree that this land needs some love. The lineup of attraction isn’t bad (a part from having double driving attractions), but the whole area just feels tired and could certainly benefit from a full refurb and addition of new rides.

Just take a look at Warner Bros. World in Abu Dhabi and their Cartoon Junction land. You could certainly take inspiration from this and transform the entire show building to be to this level. Also look at their ride lineup and the way they are themed for inspiration.

  2. Yes it does look bad, but the fence has been this style for at least a decade to my recollection, it’s just been made taller. And while it sucks they’ve had to do this, if there were that many people dropping stuff and jumping the fence to get there items then I see the need to increase its height.

And while the height doesn’t look too significant in that photo, it’s just the perspective (as it was taken over the construction fencing) because of you look at the fence to the right next to the exit store, it’s nearly touching the ceiling. Which makes me think the new fence is at least 2m tall.

Maybe the better solution would’ve been to install two fences with 0.5-1 metre separation so it someone did drop something and decide to jump the fence, they still wouldn’t be in the ride and envelope.

Now, almost nothing is and everything is front-loaded

Which is a big issue when they struggle to manage their annual maintenance periods because it creates a very poor first impression when almost all of the rides at the front of the park are closed. But then you head to the back of the park and everything there is actually closed.

  4. This is an awesome video that gives an amazing insight into the entire process from start to finish for the coaster. It reveals a lot of details many of us didn’t even know about and why there were so many delays in its opening. About halfway through the video it also gives an insight into the incompetence of VRTP and why they sometimes make poor decisions, or thinks take so long to get done!

I hadn't realised WnW ran reduced trading hours

They’ve done this for as long as I remember and is generally happens between the April and September holidays, along with the lazy river closing. I believe a few years ago (maybe covid played a part), but they did close a couple days a week during these reduced hour months.

Also (and it's their typo), a metre is a length of measurement - a meter is a device that measures. In the US they use METER for both - but that isn't a standard to aspire to, especially right now.

I get the feeling they’re heavily relying on AI for their marketing now

They don't care about the guest experience. they care about reducing costs to maximise profit.

Not caring about the guest experience means crowd levels have reduced, which means they have less profit. I don’t know how to run a business, but surely that’s pretty obvious right?
