DC Rivals HyperCoaster construction discussion

For me its a bit of a deal breaker. Inside the parks I carry a total of 3 items.. My car keys, my mobile phone (for NFC-enabled purchases), and an asthma spray. The latter being something I cannot actually stash in a locker anyway. Paying $15-20 to store a total of 25sqcm of possessions is a bit rich... -

Prequeing kind of takes care of that... People are ready for loading well before the train has returned to the station. The only reason it would slow down is if there was no seperate load/unload station. -
That is an interesting one, it was clear from the beginning that Tiger cub kindy was always a temporary structure to keep the crowds during the tiger island renovation... They run KH as a seasonal attraction before, I'm curious to see if it continues to run so during the Christmas period, or if it has been gutted and will make way for something else.

Every park has it's own unique qualities, it is hard to discuss them as a whole without getting off topic (which is made even more complex when an opinion poll takes up half the page). Historically on Parkz each park has always had its own thread. I am continuing that trend.

Another alternative is to use a common wall with a carousel (MDMC anyone?). -
I hope it's not too soon, but I'd like to start fresh on this one and turn to a positive note... Dreamworld is one of my all time favorite parks and I would love to see it recover and flourish. It's time to move on from the tragic occurrences of October 2016 and start thinking about the future of the park and where it will move in the future. With 4x SBNO attractions (TRR, Eureka, Skylink, and the BB Ampitheatre) in one corner of the park there is going to be a clear push for a drastic change in this area. Dreamworld has typically been focused heavily on the Australian lifestyle and while the theme's may not always make sense: see turbines, the main areas lean towards Australiana and I think this would be a great direction to head for a retheme as well. The whole "old west" and "gold rush" thing is a bit played out now, it's all about the beauty of nature. What would you like to see for Dreamworld in 2017 and beyond? Personally, I would like to see a complete overhaul of Gold rush into a leafy green lush Australian Rainforest theme, bringing in some of the amazing beauty we have in the Gold Coast Hinterland. We have the Ocean theme, we have the Bush theme, I think something a little more tropical complementing its location would be a great addition, and truly distance the area from its current situation.

Speculation and media beat ups - Thunder River Rapids incident

I think they have to do something with it... If they don't, they will have to close the log ride as well, it shares the reservoir infrastructure in place. I think the cost of closing 2 major family attractions may be too much and they will work on a redesign instead... -

I have a question... If Intamin did not design or supply the ride, who did? -
Speculation and media beat ups - Thunder River Rapids incident

It has happened before, with this very ride... Although only one death, and in a different section. This did not stop the park, and the ride from recovering. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roaring_Rapids#Incidents I am slightly concerned at the reports the raft slipped down the lift hill, the timber slat conveyor design is used on all Intamin installations even up to their most recent 2013 builds, if there is a long term wear issue, should this not be part of their maintenance schedule? It is the manufactuerers responsibility to provide the maint schedule of their equipment... -
Wanda Group to build theme park on Gold Coast?

Coomera could never support a park the size they were proposing, it was always going to be north of Pimpama. I do believe this will go ahead this particular developer has a long history of following his intentions through... Timeline though, who knows... Could be 5 years, 10, even 20... -
Wow... The hell did I just read, this guy needs a serious dose of common sense... What next, are you going to Boycott Australia Zoo? They are pretty much the same thing... An attraction full of either rescue or born in captivity animals which cannot survive in the wild, with profit diverted into rescue programs to ensure the health of other animals...
