  1. Little Wonders Land (Formerly HBL) closed down because 79% of the park's guests had complained that the park is too big. It looks like management focused on the fat lazy bums. Due to these lazy people, the best roller coaster in the park (Beastie) has been forced to be SBNO, a great loss to the park. ~Flea
  2. He's riding SuperWirbel as well? Darn, that guy is going to be dead by the time he finishes. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to handle 8 straight hours of headbanging, although I would be able to handle Expedition GeForce Good luck to him! Gosh, things people do these days to get extensive ERT , ~Flea
  3. For the new promotion 'Dare To Be A DareDevil', 'scratchies' are handed out when getting your ticket/stamp to enter the park. I received five, and scratched them. Here's what I ended up getting.. - $10 off adult entry - $5 off child entry - 50% off adult Wonderpass - Free adult Wonderpass - Free adult Wonderpass I gave the other Free wonderpass coupon to Andrew, as I really had no need for 2. So now, my brother James will be getting a Wonderpass, just for the sake of getting one. So there, $135 will be staying in our pockets For those international visitors here, a Wonderpass is an annual pass to Wonderland. Thanks, ~A very happy Flea
  4. No, it is true. Apparently, the theming on the trains were adding weight to the train, therefore causing malfunctions (according to other forums). That black box is the attachment used for the theming (once again, according to other forums) which could mean the theming will live again, once this 'weight distrubition' is sorted out. ~Flea
  5. Wow, that park map is awesome! Although it is a little bit confusing with all the trees and people scattered around the map. Very detailed though! ~Flea
  6. Short videos of Demon and Space Probe now available! I have had to cut down the quality a bit in order for everyone to view them with ease. Comments are appreciated, enjoy! Space Probe Off Ride.. http://ourworld.cs.com/Flea110/SPOR.WMV Demon Coming Through Station.. http://ourworld.cs.com/Flea110/DOR.WMV Demon's First Drop.. http://ourworld.cs.com/Flea110/DFD.WMV Today's visit to Wonderland included many, many annoying friends. 5 of them were girls, and the not-so-annoying Andrew (Andy_q69). Andrew and I had a lot of touble finding the girls, as they decided to wander off in the morning. All photos and videos are taken with my Canon PowerShot A200. No sound is available (unless someone wants to donate a digital camera with the sound option on movies? ). I am currently in the process of editing a 3 minute video of Wonderland. The video was recorded earlier this year, using my panasonic digital camcorder (Yeah, the real thing! ). Accompaning music and great footage will make this a sure download, expect the video in coming weeks! Thanks, ~Flea
  7. Oh, missed that! Really make me think, boycotta, if you actually asked for permission to use these before posting them here? ~Flea
  8. I could send in my photos of Demon.. but they are really Total Thrills exclusive ~Flea
  9. Awesome photos! Really makes me wonder why I didn't visit the park at all.. oh well. When did you take these photos? ~Flea
  10. No, unfortunately I don't. I do have off-ride videos of Space Probe, but I accidently tilted the camera vertically, and the editing program won't let me rotate the video. So unless you want to turn your head, let me know if you want it. ~Liam
  11. Comments are appreciated guys.. so if you've seen the photos video, please let me know what you think! ~Flea

  13. My photos ain't good enough for ya, huh? If you want, I could send you the high quality versions of my photos of Snowy River Rampage (..and that one shot of TBB), which are quite better than you see here. This also goes out to anyone wanting the original high quality photos (file size varies from 300k-700k). ~Flea
  14. No harm was done to any of the rides, the fire veered to the opposite direction of the park. ~Flea
  15. I went today because I was craving to get construction shots for you all. However, it proved to be impossible to get any constrcution shots of the beach. The only possible way to get shots was to take my camera on Space Probe or Bush Beast.. a risk I was not willing to take. I'm very sorry about no construction shots, I promise I will have them next time. Now, onto the day's happenings.. I arrived at the park at 10 past 11, a bit late than usual due to a major trafic jam caused by construction on the horlsey drive. The park was packed, major rides were generating up to 20 minute waits (Space Probe, in particular). The day was known as "Eeels members day", all team mates of the Parramatta Eeels spent the day at Wonderland, along with many, many fans. As soon as I entered the park, I ran to Space Probe. Car no. 3 was my allocated car, so I quickly boarded. Whilst going up the tower, I noticed a very loud buzzing sound coming from the car, along with very voilent jolts. It got me worried, and I was soon to find out that this odd buzz and jolt was occuring on all cars. Whilst taking shots of Snowy River Rampage (I have a decent amount to show), I noticed that Space Probe was going up. So I took a break from taking pictures to look at Space Probe operating. Something wasn't right. All 3 cars refused to drop, and I immediately noticed it was a break down.. so I ran all the way from Snowy River Rampage to Space Probe, but by the time I got there, the mechanics had already pulled the cars down. However, I did get to chat to a few of the riders that experienced the breakdown, they said that they've never been so scared in their life. (the break down may have been related to that buzz and jolt I was talking about.. but who knows?) That being said, a ride op asked me if I could be (along with 3 other people) to be a test dummy for a few cycles. The odd buzz and jolt were now gone, and the ride ran perfectly. The Bush Beast's yellow train was no where in sight today. The transfer track was empty, could this mean new rolling stock for TBB's yellow train? Now, onto the photos.. I must warn that these photos are definately not of my greatest photography, as the weather (and camera) didn't quite co-operate with my today. None the less.. The Bush Beast exiting the station (see those 2 kids in the front? They gave my the weirdest look..) When queuing up for Snowy River Rampage, this sign provides just what you needed to know on a cold winter's day. Caught red handed! "Please sit down" .. These people actually got soaked, they would've been even more soaked if it wasn't for that stupid retarded jet that always goes off 5 seconds after the boat actually passes. If this was summer, you'd see many people trying to get mist on their face. Just one of the many failed attempts to get a shot of Demon and Space Probe going at the same time. (Sorry Jaggs! ) Demon coming down the drop.. (Can you believe that this drop actually used to scare the bejeebeses out of Andrew?) Spell binding sorcery's entrance Best. Ride. Ever. I didn't really know what to take pictures of today since I couldn't see the construction of the beach, so this is why you see many randomised photos of Wonderland. I hope you enjoyed them though! Thanks, ~Flea
  16. Awesome! I've been dying to go on a Scad tower, but currently, I don't think they exist in Australia just yet. As for my 'other thrills'.. I went on the one at the Gold Coast, but it's been fitted with new cables. Apparently, when the ride was fitted with bungee cords, they snapped, so they replaced them with the cables. But that's just a rumour. I went on 'Sling Shot' twice, the launch and airtime is amazing. I also went on Fly Coaster, which is convenietly located right next to Sling Shot. I can easily say that this is money well spent, and the best ride I have ever been on. You can find a very long trip report about them both in Chit Chat. Thanks, ~Flea
  17. [run_spellcheck.exe]. No offense or anything, but the way you write messages is real annoying and un-readable. I can't stress how much this is getting on my nerves, but I really want to be able to read people's messages, not deliberately skip the whole post for the sake of my I.Q. Thanks, ~Liam
  18. Sorry mate. It wasn't intentional, I don't really post stuff that is related to only one person. I will talk to Andrew about his spam like posts. It will never happen again. Anyway, thanks for the comments! What did you think about the video?
  19. And let's hope pigs will fly! It's obvious that more major breakdowns will occur once again, I'm afriad that TTD is one pre-mature ride. More extensive testing was needed before opening, much like disney is running tests for months with their new ride (Mission: Space at Epcot). Hopefully, this will put a big blow on all types of theme parks to run extensive tests with their new prototype before opening it to the public. ~Liam
  20. Ugh, they are such idiots. Spitting on constrcutions workers, that is real lame. I can't wait to go to Luna Park, and start spitting on the locals myself. Stupid lame freaks.. ~Liam
  21. Yeah, it does look better than on the camera. I wish the lighting was just a tad bit better, and billy put the tv's on! Ah well, better luck next time And to answer your question.. Yep, that's when I said 'Move man!' ~Liam
  22. Ok guys, from now what I believe is an online first, on ride footage of Wonderland's Space Probe. This was taken with my new digital camera, using the 30 second video feature. I am sorry about the shaking around, but I really was nervous taking a camera 225ft high. http://ourworld.cs.com/Flea110/SP.WMV The file is only 384k. Enjoy! Thanks, ~Liam
  23. They then threw fairy floss at me, so i started dissing them with comments like 'You wreck my life, why did I ever meet you?' ~Liam
  24. We stopped walking for a bit to watch the operation of Dragon's Flight. Yeah, I get dizzy on this ride.. Down we went to TBB, and grabbed 2 rides. (front and back) This was to be the only 2 rides of the day, since the rides literally nearly split my back in half (I still have a sore back now..). We walked over to Snowy River Rampage to watch the suckers get (kind of) drenched. Look at those weird freaks.. We decided to take a trip on the train to Transylvania. We borded the train, and then found 2 girls that we're very annoying. They were telling off all the game attendants, as if they were trying to show off to us. Besides, Andrew's very sexy (who wouldn't wanna show off to him ) We hopped off the train, and had lunch at Batty Chicken. We ate at the tables that provided a great view of Bounty's Revenge. Ouch. We saw a few ducks in the lake, so Andrew decided to throw a few chips in. Sure enough.. And you think you've seen a crazy duck! Just a random shot of Demon. It was now time for the DareDevil BMX stunt show. The show was ok. But really nothing special. We left halfway during the show, since we weren't too interested in people hurting themselves by stacking it 10 feet high, and blaring grunge music. Not a very good show, but worth a look. We took a ride on Space Probe, and Billy was now operating it. (I got on/off ride video! Coming soon..) After this, we took a ride on Zodiac and got a few more shots. A look at the now defunt Little Wonders Land We then took a few more rides on Space Probe and Demon, then left the park. Here's a few more photos.. The planes on Little Monsters Flying School seemed to have been painted. The ride was not in operation today. Two new carnival type stores were added in Botany Bay today. Picture here is the donut shop, which has an awesome american themed paintjob. And here's the other shop that sells fairy floss. The scary thing is that an 8 year old was working in the shop (and that's no joke.) I dunno, I just find this picture funny. Instead of buying coasters, they sell them! Argh! And the last one for the week, a picture of the sign that advertises the upcoming Super Hero Headquarters. I hope you enjoyed the TR and photos! If you wish to have the larger, higher quality photos, just pm me and I will have them sent to you right away. Thanks, ~Flea
  25. My friend Andrew (Andy_q69) and I took another trip to Wonderland for 3 reasons: - To test out my new digital camera - To watch the new BMX show - And to get more rides on Space Probe! Here's how the day went.. I woke up at 9:12am, expecting it was 8:30am (which would've left time to play my new wakeboarding game on PS2.. but oh well) My mum hurried me into the shower, half asleep. I got dressed, grabbed my digital camera and were set to go at 9:30.. only with a few problems. My digital camera only had a 8mb card, which would only allow me to take 10-15 pics. I also needed more than 4 AA batteries, since my camera really chewed them up fast. We hoped in the car and were heading for my dad's photography studio. He grabbed a 96mb card for me, and said that I'll have to get the AA batteries at Wonderland. It was now 9:42am Due to construction of another lane of the horsley drive, the drive to wonderland was delayed by closed roads, detours etc. I arrived at the park at approximately 10am, and there was Andrew with his mother waiting for me. Andrew and I flashed our wonderpasses, and were now in the park. We raced for Space Probe, hoping that Billy would be operating it. There was no line, and before we knew it, the lights around the door turned green, and the doors opened. Was it Billy? No, it was the short monkey like ride op, who is very cool. We grabbed a few rides on Space Probe, and I took this pic.. In the Space Probe station, looking up.. It was now time for Demon, and Billy was operating it.. enthusiastic as ever. After a chat with him, we were off.. we sat in the front row, car 7. Demon was running very smooth this morning, my head did not bang against the restraints once.. best ride ever! After showing Billy my new digital camera, I took this.. Demon's loop. We were very hesitant about riding Galleon's Graveyard, but passed. Galleon's Graveyard Space Probe was yet again calling. So we took another few rides. (In the morning, SP was running very slow. It didn't feel like we were falling at all) More rides on Demon seemed appropriate at the time, so we took a few rides on car 6.. it was still as smooth as ever. Demon hitting the brakes hard It was now 11:10am, so we headed to Goldrush for a few rides on Bush Beast. On the way down, we passed the Action Arena (former site of the Action Man show) and noticed DareDevil posters to the side of the entrance of the Action Arena. We then found out that the DareDevil BMX show was to be held here.. Now we know why the action arena was kept I'm quite worried about the length of the post, (I may be denied if I continue to type any more) so expect Part 2 in 30 mins. Thanks, ~Flea
