What's your thoughts on the Eureka Mine Ride. That's one of my favourite rides at Dreamworld. Infact it probably is my favourite ride...
  2. Ten News Queensland at 5:00 pm had coverage of Shrek 4D. They showed Superman Escape as well.
  3. Roxy didn't directly tie in with Marvin the Martian - I don't think anyway. There's no reason to change the name of the theatre based on the attraction inside. You don't see Birch Carroll and Coyle, Hoyts, or Greater Union change their name to the Batman Begins cinema complex or War of the Worlds cinema complex.
  4. Nah, that's unfair. You can see why Dreamworld would put an attraction like this - to cater for larger demographics. I'm happy to say that I've never liked the Wiggles... ever...
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Wiggles World for... ah... pre-schoolers?
  6. Cool. I watched The Bone Collector on Ten until about 12:50 pm and there was no sign of Shrek 4D then but hopefully the campaign starts today.
  7. The rides 'story' probably will add to the time...
  8. That's true. Although they're replacing a family friendly attraction with another family friendly attraction. (That's what it looks like to me anyway...) Shrek would have more appeal to more people IMO then Terminator.
  9. Terminator is at Universal as well. Plus if you're talking about the Terminator at Universal that sort of... sucks.
  10. Agreed. Have you people actually experienced Shrek 4D that are complaining about it? But lets say they got another movie in addition to Shrek 4D I think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory would make an interesting 4D movie.
  11. Well Shrek 4D launches in time for September holidays... then Superman: Escape for end-of-year holidays.. so it makes sense that they'd advertise them seperately...
  12. djrappa: Don't worry... I had no intention of spoiling the specifics of the pre-show movie. If it even exists at WBMW. matty o 911: I'm proud of Movie World for providing another innovative attraction to an Australian theme park.
  13. Okay, let's change the tone of this thread a little. Shrek's gonna rock. I had fun on the attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood and am looking forward to experiencing it again. I wonder if it will have the same pre-show movie that the Hollywood version has before you go in...
  14. Wow, nice. Looks very cool. Can't wait to see the themed part as well.
  15. Whoa, nice pictures of the Ekka you've got on the site now. That's the Royal Brisbane Hospital in the background. My bus passes there to get to Uni which is around the corner. It's always a tease to see all the rides operating.
  16. Yeah, it's noticably shorter alright. When I first spotted the ride I thought it was going to be one of those 'Wipeout' style rides.
  17. If I go to the Ekka I'll probably still ride the rainbo... ah... Ali-Baba. How big is the coaster? Decent size?
  18. Nice, cold, rainy day in Brisbane today. Went past the Ekka on the bus from Uni at Kelvin Grove and it still looked fun. They've got a newer version of the Rainbow... doesn't look as tall, though. Anyone know if there's a roller-coaster there this year? If so then I may definately go.
  19. I can't wait to go to Movie World.
  20. I think your right. I think I've also heard that it might be 'soft' opened in late '05.
