  1. Lets say they get 1,5000,000 million guest in a year, that's a average for around 4100 people a day, some days might be 3000, some days 6000, but lets go with the average. How much do they pay for entry? There are many options; https://movieworld.com.au/tickets Some kind of good value if you are visiting all the parks, but I'm going to say the average entry price is $80. 80 times 1,500,000 guests is only $120,000,000 in ticket sales a year. Plus extras, fast ride pass ($2,000,000), photos( $7,000,000), food and drink, ( $11,000,000 profit only) (example calculation - 800k people a year spend a average of $35 each on food = $28,000,000 in food sales across all outlets, for above I guessed a profit) Lets just say total yearly Income is $140,000,000 Now they have the star parade nearly? everyday? For just over a hour (including prep time) we need to prepare about 40 staff and maintain costumes and float cars, and section off the road and run the show. I think it costs $950,000 a year to run this show. Hollywood stunt driver I think it cost's $2,000,000 a year to run the show, plus another $1 million in bankroll for direct maintenance in the area The wildwest falls was a long ago $18,000,000 investment but I think it's running/water treatment/ and maintenance costs exceed $4,000,000 a year. A major attraction has reached the end of its life and is cleared and a new one constructed at a cost of $22,000,000 Water and electric bills total $4,000,000 a year Now we are at $106,000,000 a year, minus these costs so far We employ 20 senior engineers and management staff at a total cost in wages and benefits at $3,000,000 Hundreds of other staff are employed with their wages costing $ 20,000,000 a year. Advertising and Online website fees $5,000,000 a year All maintenance and painting or other major attractions and roller coasters $8,000,000 a year Now we are down to $70,000,000 cash a year in our pockets I will stop playing the game now, but you can share your thoughts where I might be right or wrong. I feel if I keep running expenses We will be lucky to have a 15% profit margin i think I'm aware there could be debts from various upgrades through out the years but the overall site value is probably more than 200million. This is just a bit of fun for me....
  2. Hey! (I'm only imagining how many eye rolls that this title would have received... 😂) So I know this is a 'cliche' topic and has been discussed several times, but I just want to know peoples thoughts to the following; Many say that Australia can't accomodate a Universal Studios park due to the small population that Australia has, yet Singapore has only got a population of 5 million? As well as that, Universal Studios Singapore only has about 20 attractions - in comparison to Movie World that has 24 - and it's size isn't ALL that big (It literally surrounds a lagoon). I can understand why a Disney park wouldn't work in Australia, but I feel like a Universal Studios park has potential? Anyway, I'm a curious person and just want to see/hear what other people think about this.
