  1. Dexter is right that is a 50/50 chance that it may not be open on the night maintenance on wild west falls is very extensive and in fact most of the time goes over schedule. It wouldn't surprise me that it may not be open till the last night. As i mentioned before it was original scheduled to be still down over the event but after discussion of the complaints last year of it not being open the decision was made that it will be going down earlier this in fact allowing it about 2 days between finishing and the event hoping all goes well. 2. Dexter is correct in the fact the mazes will start to be put up on Tue next week with final touches on Wed. As for rides on the night all rides will be open, But Wild West Falls is currently in maintenance till the 26Th that allowing some leeway between the event in case it needs longer that ride has a few time been under maintenance longer than it should be, but lets hope all goes well because it is a good ride at night.
  3. Oh yeah sorry Joz i get what you mean, in saying what i said i was compensating for both being aloud to take them and post them but i didn't make that clear. Which i should have. Sorry about that.
  4. No the sign is still in its original place and yes you are seeing it correctly there are guide wires at the each end of the roof as you can see. Cadboy not being rude here at all but I'm guess you haven't stood at the front of the park either to get in or get tickets lately or for a while because i can ashore you 23-24 degrees doesn't sound that hot compared to what it is like later in the day but standing in one place for a long duration of time with the sun directly on your back i wont lie to you is say that 23- 24 degrees will really get to you, and the new roof does good job in preventing that.
  5. Donjailn LA i will have to agree with you there the sign is very hard to see now during the day as the sun used to make it shine with the glossy coat it has on it or shiny plastic either way. But the roof does look good and the guests love it.
  6. Thank you Donjailn LA for the complement I'm glad that you are happy with my improvement and thank you Gazza for the helping me improve it. I haven't had any arguments since which is always a good thing.
  7. I would have to agree with the fact that the roof out the front does actually look really good with the curve thing happening after having a look early Sat morning at it while guest's were there i heard different remarks like "This roof over is really good now" stuff like that. So guests like it especially when it is like 23-24 degrees in the morning waiting to get tickets which you can wait for a decent 30 mins 45 mins.
  8. As i said in my post i did ask for permission first and it was granted.
  9. The roof over the ticket booths out the front is complete now. I didn't have my camera with me so i took pictures of it on my phone this morning for you all to see.
  10. Regarding the mazes this year they are going to be set up two days before the event and final touches will be done on the day aka Wed29Th I'm helping out with maze setup on Wed then going to the event that night and i asked for permission to take photo's during setup and I'm aloud to so ill post them on the site for those interested. Halloween decorations are up in main street. With spiderwebs hanging from the roof supports with spiders in them when it gets dark it looks really good with the web everywhere. Plus there are Halloween decorations in the shop fronts. I seen the Halloween shirts for this year today. They have the joker on it and it has the Halloween family fun night logo on it also. Talking to friend in entertainment today who is a supervisor he said that there will be more characters out this year giving the night a more haunted feel.
  11. That may be what was meant when i heard it was getting update/revamped. But that will make the attraction better than it is though. All the tiny things add up and if they get in and fix the tiny things it can make a ride so much better. I really think they need to have a hard look at scooby doo on Sunday i heard a few guests complain because the effects weren't up to standards like they used to be in other words so on Monday i checked it out for my self and none of the lights in the room before the last drop were on it was dark and the music in the main room it sounded as if someone had put sheets of wood over the speakers. They may be updateing aspects of the park aka adding roof's everywhere but they need to have a hard look at there attraction's because almost all fall at some stage and i think scooby is on its way. Who knows most guests favourite superman may end up being next.
  12. Just wondering if any movieworld staff on the board have heard similar things as to what i have lately, but iv been told there is a fair chance we will be seeing a updated batman adventure ride next year to fit with today's batman film's. I know it was the talk earlier in the year then discussion of the matter was dropped. Does anyone think there could be a likely chance and has anyone else heard similar things?
  13. Sonic123488 could be right in the fact that WVTP is know for cost cutting before something big is about to hit the park or parks. But i would have to say opening shops at 11:30 is a bit stupid in the fact that most guest's have a look in the shops when they first get to the park and when they leave. I remember back about 7 years ago this same thing happened at Movieworld and it ended up being canned 2 weeks into it after guest complaints about the park only haveing its rides open at 10. It will be interesting to see how long it will acctually last for.
  14. I had heard very much the same thing on Sunday. There were many questions thrown out at our tour guide aka one of the shows representatives. One in which was what will the set be themed to? MickeyD has already answered the question and it had been spoken about before but the rep wouldn't not let in on the Set's theme. there were a lot of questions in which were asked and he wasn't able to answer as a lot of the show is still being kept under wraps. As for Cadboy's questions the seating plan is exactly the same as PASS currently in say that there is a lot of construction still to happen on site. In peak season's like Christmas and in its opening period the show can run up to 5-6 times a day maybe even more depending on guest numbers that day, from what i can recall PASS used to run continuous shows during peak times. During off peak times it will run 3 times a day. As explained on Sunday the show was set to open in a weeks time originally but due to a issue on site back a month and a half ago it has all been held back. Release date mentioned was mid December start of school holidays as all construction and show training is well ahead of the new schedule.
  15. Well seeing we are cracking jokes about my spelling i haven't had any criticism in a while so I'm guessing you are happy with the improvement. Thank you gazza
  16. Nathanparmenters points are all clear and precis as to the rules for the attraction, you are more than welcome to take pictures of the set eg the library, bat cave and the pod stations as long as it is before or after any pre show or show entertainment. The sets and stuff in the ride attraction are to be showed off as movieworld is proud of the fact of how much attention to detail they put into there rides. In the case of videoing or taking pictures of the pre show or show entertainment it is strictly prohibited on the attraction.
  17. Talking about the show from what I've been told just a couple of days ago and I'm sure if mickeyD has been told stuff also I'm sure he can back me up in the fact that the concrete walls are there to stay. There is more concrete walls currently going up on the left hand side of the arena. I on Sunday was lucky enough to get a walk on the site on the basis that no photo's were to be taken i didn't get to trance all around but i got a look inside and it looks huge compared to what PASS arena did. There were 3 other groups taken on the site that day including a photographer and reporter from The bulletin, so those who read the paper keep a eye out for a article i would assume it will be in there this week. Also those keen on seeing what the set plan looks like go on batwing and if you face over at the practice area you can see a pretty good layout of the shows arena and the entrance and exit sections. I've tried to remember what it looks like but cant remember fully so in the next few days i will go on batwing and check it out and ill do a diagram.
  18. Nope i dare say it Shadow XL is correct, Movieworld i roofing it all out!!! They cover all of main street that was ok, Then they cover the bus shelter looks alright and good for those who catch the buses i suppose, but now they are attacking the original front entrance with a tacky looking roof, it isn't yet complete but the supports are in position, the roof looks as if it will span the whole length the ticket booths do well nearly. You know its a wonder no one has picked up on it. Because the fluro pink markings have been there for months spray painted on the ground even i saw them but didn't really give it a thought plus all three roofs were lodged at the same time i was told today. To tell you the truth i don't recon it will look very good.
  19. thanks skeetafly for the info. I haven't heard anything before about this shopping complex anyone want to fill me in????
  20. Doc brown we have had a similar discussion before about this issue i tried to look for it but couldn't find it. But as said in the forum and from my understanding and i haven't been told any different the park you may take pictures of the set inside the ride as it is for show and i know even when I'm in the park as a guest and i go on the ride lots of guest's take pictures of the set inside and ride attendants don't mind as long its not during the films eg. Pre show and show.
  21. DonjailnLA yes your right but my point being is with the company being in some trouble at the moment they are probably not to worried at the moment about the expansion when they have a company to worry about, but like i said it was only a thought that it could be something that is stopping the expansion from going ahead at the present moment.
  22. Look i don't know much about the shares and stock market but my uncle does and i was talking to him today about Macquarie leisure and well they aren't doing to well at the present moment and they have been losing lots. May this be and impact on the reason as to why nothing has been done about the parks expansion its just a thought.
  23. I'd have to agree with Richard in the fact you would think after all the talk a few months ago about it being a Italian theme they would go with Italian style cars also to fit with the shows concept. But then again not much has been said since those few months ago about the theming could it be different??? It might not be Italian themed that's just my thought, big money into the show, temporary walls covering the site during the construction you would think with the attention to detail that has already gone in place they would at least fit the cars used in the show with the set/concept. Its kinda like putting fire trucks in PASS for the police to drive instead of police cars.
  24. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is including shows, some of which are also seasonal but there is approx 17 rides and attractions. The universal experience Special effects stages Back draft Mummy ride Jurassic park ride Terminator 2 in 3d Blues brothers show The adventures of curious George Coke soak water area fear factor live Universal animal actors The Simpson's ride Studio tour Shrek 4d House of horrors Water world Excuse my bad counting its actually 16 not 17.
