  1. They seem to have a lot more rides than we do, especially in terms of flat rides. And plus they have a wooden coaster...slightly jealous.
  2. I was in the middle back the first time and then the middle front the second time. Middle back was a little underwhelming tbh but the front makes so much more of a difference. Next time I go I'll have to try and get on the front right.
  3. Good to hear. Must be encouraging them to bring their other plans into fruition.
  4. I've never been on a carnival ride like that I think the other El Loco's do look more Wild Mouse-ish though, probably to do with their coloring and smaller trains. Honestly, I really really love this ride the more that I think about it. Center front = Epic!!!
  5. Lol no offence but your ratings are ridiculous and extreme.
  6. Went to Movie World for the first time since September and so got to ride the GL I went on the ride twice - the first time I sat in the middle back and the second time in the middle front. Two totally different experiences with the latter obviously being the superior one. My thoughts: - The hill is SO steep and fast, almost too fast because there is less anticipation. - Love the bit just before the big drop. - Ride was very smooth, much more so than I was expecting. - The breaks are ridiculous. It felt like a punch to the guts when it braked suddenly at the end. - But overall the ride was a LOT of fun and very enjoyable. MY RATING: 8 / 10 How does it compare to my ratings of the other coasters? Scooby Doo: 8.5 / 10 Superman Escape: 9.5 / 10 Cyclone: 6 / 10 Sea Viper: 7 / 10 Lethal Weapon: 5 / 10
  7. Ouch for Dreamworld. Movie World has the Top 3 coasters and even Sea World has the #4th spot above any of the Dreamworld coasters. In fact, Buzzsaw Cyclone and Motocoaster have a mere 6 votes COMBINED - which combined is not even 1/6th of the total that Superman Escape has.
  8. The replies in this thread are hilarious because none of them are about the actual thread subject lol.
  9. ^ Horror franchise isn't out of the question but I'm thinking it would have to be something relevant to today's kids (Saw franchise, Paranormal activity).
  10. From the description, Saw (the horror franchise) could also be a possibility could it not? Thorpe Park over in England has an immensely popular Saw coaster.
  11. I'm happy with a Batman themed ride And let's face it, it makes business sense because The Dark Knight grossed over a billion dollars at the box office and the next one looks set to emulate that success. Why not capitalize on the studio's current big $ucce$$?
  12. A woodie would be perfect for that area that Luke mapped out.
  13. Thanks for this!!! Never went on the ride even though I visited Movie World for the first time in 1997 when I was 9 so must've missed out on that one.
  14. Scooby, Superman and TOT. Id have voted GL but never been on it (yet)
  15. Scooby, Jet Rescue and TOT have separated from their tie and Scooby is now #3 on 12 votes, Jet Rescue #4 with 10 votes and TOT #5 with 8 votes.
  16. OMG lotr/hobbit dark ride.... i would die. But that isn't Warners so isn't that out of the question?
  17. What? :S OK actually we should just do it every time there is a new coaster instead of yearly
  18. CURRENT TALLY: 1. Superman Escape (22) 2. Green Lantern (14) 3. Scooby Doo (7) 3. Jet Rescue (7) 3. Tower of Terror (7) 6. Lethal Weapon (4) 7. Cyclone (3) 8. Buzzsaw (2) 8. Sea Viper (2) 10. Mick Doohan's Motocoaster (1) I'm actually incredibly content with that order although I want to see the 3 rides tied on #3 seperate themselves with Scooby at #3, TOT at #4 and Jet Rescue at #5
  19. Dreamworld = cheap cheap cheap. They put lipstick on their pig rides to make them look world class but those of us who have a brain know it's just a step up from a traveling show circular coaster. None. But even though they have votes, they will still likely place in the lower tier of the poll like how they would if people could only vote for one ride. It's just that the poll is more fun with more votes
  20. BUZZSAW vs GREEN LANTERN Another steal for Movie World as GL hits 11 votes to Buzzsaw's 1.
  21. OK who's the troll who just voted for Cyclone, Lethal Weapon and Motocoaster? I saw at 13 voters none of these had any votes and now with 14 voters they all picked up a point...lol....
  22. Since, historically, the parks add one MAJOR ride every 5 years, what do you want the parks to invest in next? For me... Movie World - Wooden Coaster and/or World-class Dark water ride. Dreamworld - B&M I really don't see why these parks can't invest in something upwards of $20 million. They charge Disneyland rates and yet put in rides worthy of Legoland (OK slight exaggeration but you get the point).
  23. I think this really highlights the difference in quality between the two parks. Yes, Movie World is severely lacking in attractions, but the ones they DO have wipe the floor with Dreamworld's. If we did a poll on flume/water rides too, WWF would mow down the competition. from DW.
  24. DREAMWORLD VS MOVIEWORLD Movie World's 4 coasters have already racked up a massive 26 votes while Dreamworld's 4 only 7 votes. A big divide there!!!
  25. Lol oh.... I'm interested to see how they're going to incorporate it with China Town though.
