  1. The chopper lost power and the pilot was unable to make it to the helipad so followed his emergency procedures and landed in an empty section of the car park. I know your all saying 'what if this happened in a busier period' - the company who owns and runs the helicopter joy flights have strategies and areas in place in case of emergencies if the car park is full. ash 1111 - the helicopters at Dreamworld - and others for that matter - do not run on petrol (fuel) they run on a special type of fuel which does not ignite easily - so the rest of the car park, people in the chopper, staff helping out were in no immediate danger. Luckily all people on board are fine and taken to hospital for precautionary reasons.
  2. Wasn't there a pirate themed ski show at Seaworld in the late 80's?
  3. To clear some issues up with AVPX. The attraction has 3 briefing rooms and one arena. During slower periods you will find the attraction will run mostly with 2 operators and they will take their own lunch breaks so during that time will drop down to one. During that time the attraction still takes 15 minutes - this includes briefing, pre show and game - that would explain your queue wait. The attraction is a lot of fun and the arena is functioning at full potential - besides running the 3 briefing rooms.
  4. I've ridden Kraken (Seaworld Orlando) and Scream (SFMM California) and really enjoyed both rides. For me personally it did feel different to a sit down. The front row is amazing with nothing separating you and the track, brake runs and the drop. It feels like a flying armchair.
  5. Not a chance - are you aware of the cost of those and the reliability and maintenance issues - A huge risk. They are more likely to go with a standard B&M floorless is my pick or flying like Orlando Seaworld's Manta (but that is stretching it still).
  6. It's interesting to read your posts in regard to WVTP compared to Dreamworld. Perhaps you should take or read some of your advice before you post in regard to Dreamworld mate.
  7. Speaking with some insider knowledge. It's a shame the expansion won't be happening this year, as attendance was terrific over summer and it's a shame the park won't have anything new to entice new guests to experience an excellent park.
  8. Although this expansion will be fantastic when it does happen. Don't expect anything til next year.
  9. rival81 - the Lights, Motors, Action Extreme stunt show at Disney Paris and Disney Hollywood studios in Orlando are 100 times better than Hollywood Stunt Driver - the poor, never as good cousin.
  10. The Laser attraction entrance will be the old Vortex building. The attraction itself will be placed in 'the dream room' structure from the old blue lagoon site (the same structure that held "the Mummy". It has been relocated to behind the Vortex building. There will be no charge for the attraction - it will be included in the entry price and may be themed by Sudden Impact Entertainment. As for the Vortex I believe you will see it reincarnated into another section of the park - completely re-themed.
  11. This is not mistakingly advertised. Check how the systems overseas have advertised it and it is exactly the same. I think you are all forgetting, you are paying for the privilege of booking a place virtually and then going on more attractions. The system is available to all guests also, so everybody has the option of Q4U. Some of you are very anti Dreamworld currently - are you trying to tell me if Movie World introduced the system (for Batwing, Superman, Shrek 4D, Wild West, Scooby Doo, HSD, Lethal Weapon) to some of you would be the best idea WVTP could of made.
