  2. Since when did Seaworld have an intencity? or is this the new entertainment room or something mentioned in another thread? its on the park map (interactive) behind the nursery but i cant download a proper map for some reason.
  3. "Bermuda Triangle will be closed for maintenance until approximately mid August - please contact Guest Serivces for further information. "
  4. seaworld to get an intencity like movieworld?
  5. whoa! so many colours! ok so the breakdows happen. its a machine. its old. just be happy it still works the majority of the time. you have been here since '07, look at the other threads about dreamworld and its clear to see what other peoples ideas of the park are. yes, it does need a lot of work, but it has improved compared to what it was a few years ago. as for the prices, consider the costs of running all those rides ~8 hours a day, 364 days a year. you shouldnt be going to a theme park expecting it to be cheap.
  6. they could make it a rideable attraction like the SnowCat ride in Kelly Tarltons Antartic Adventure in NZ. http://kellytarltons.co.nz/aquarium-attrac...Wonderland.aspx
  7. The cyclone was down for around 40mins today. Not sure why. One of the tower of terror ops said they had to winch it back for something. Tower of terror overshot the station too and was closed for around ten to fifteen minutes. Sent one car out around 3kmh then pulled it back to test it. Motorcoaster was running two trains all day. Park is still pretty empty. Going to watch tigers now. -- i was also on the tower of terror during an emergency stop. it was fun. we took off like normal, then started slowing down about half way. we managed to get about half way up the ramp before rolling back. we go 90% of the way back then started slowly moving forward again, then being winched back to the station and being manually parked there. they reset the computer and sent us back up again at full speed and we went higher up the tower (a lot closer to the breaks than normal) apparantly one of the sensors lost track of the car and shut off the power during launch
  8. going tomorrow with family and will be using the 50% off birthday month offer thing so since i have to go to the early entry gate to get in, do they as well and buy their tickets there? or do we all have to queue?

    new park

got bored with the old one being so flat and i wanted to try some different things, so here is the latest park. (started yesterday)
  10. http://www.news.com.au/travel/story/0,2831...5002900,00.html A THRILL-seeker has set a new world record by in-line skating down a rollercoaster in Germany. Donning specially designed skates, Dirk Auer, 36, chose the Trips Drill theme park in Stuttgart, Germany, as the site for his daring feat. Gallery Wild: Australia’s best rollercoaster rides While speeding down the 860-metre rollercoaster Mr Auer, from Frankfurt, reached speeds of 85km/h. It took him just one minute to reach the end of the track. "This was a very dangerous stunt because there were so many factors to consider,” Mr Auer told The Sun. "If the skates were to catch a stray nail then I could have fallen and I would almost certainly have died." Mr Auer also has a world record for reaching speed of 305km/h while being pulled along behind a Porsche.
  11. FROM THE WEBSITE: SEA WORLD CELEBRATES THE END OF AN ERA! Waterski Wipeout at Sea World After almost 4 years of catchy tunes, slapstick humour and world class waterskiing, Sea World's Waterski WipeOut performed its final show on Monday 20 July to a crowd of almost 2000. On-lookers included hundreds of past skiers who thoroughly enjoyed the trip down memory lane. The Waterski WipeOut show had entertained thousands of people over the years and Sea World would like to recognise its amazing world class water skiers whose skill, commitment and dedication have made the show such a success. The ski show began in 1958 at the Surfers Paradise Ski Gardens as a water ski show that combined comedy, aqua ballet and action. From the 1970s until today, the ski show has changed names and themeing several times, but it has always contained world-class skiing and hilarious antics. Waterski WipeOut will make way for an exciting new show which will include all new elements, unlike anything ever seen at Sea World. Opening September 2009 is an all new live action adventure 'PIRATES UNLEASHED!' which will have guests on the edge of their seat! This thrilling new show will feature death defying acrobatics, hilarious high jinks and exhilarating water elements.
  12. im just going to put it here since there is no appropriate forum that i could think of. (feel free to move it obviously) anyway, i just discovered the Ekka (Royal Brisbane Show) this year is going to have a portable flume ride. (as is every other royal [insert name here] show) http://www.joylands.com.au/pirates_revenge.php doesnt look too bad for a portable one
  13. you really do love posting the same data straight from their website dont you. now i appreciate the effort, but seriously.... "12-18th of october" not a single date you have posted falls within the required dates. can anyone who works for WVTP please tell me if any of the rides (at seaworld or movieworld) are scheduled for their maintenance during the 12-18th of october?
  14. ok, this is the story behind the question.... im getting married in october and since we already went overseas at the start of the year we have decided to spend a week on the coast instead of doing another overseas holiday. its cheaper on the coast obviously and we couldnt get enough time off work to do anything else plus we will have just moved into our new house (which we have owned for nearly 2 months now (stupid tennants and their stupid lease ) anyway yea we are spending a week at the seaworld resort since my fiancee wants to do most of those animal encounters. unfortunately i can only do a couple of them as i cant swim (i nearly drowned 3 times as a kid - water isnt my thing). anyway, this moves me on to the actual question here.... can anyone who works for WVTP please tell me if any of the rides (at seaworld or movieworld) are scheduled for their maintenance during the 12-18th of october? i already emailed myfun and all i got was "please check the parks website for details". now im pretty sure they plan their maintenance a little more than 2 weeks in advance. thanks *edit - fixed a typo
  15. i would say its yet another spam bot. i mean the post itself isnt really structured to make perfect sense. its designed to cover any topic it posts in. i mean who would do that?! ------------------- CLICK HERE TO BUY STUFF!!!
  16. ok, can you please change your font. everyone else survives with with the standard font, its easy enough to read. if you're worried about not being able to find your own posts later, this forum is very quiet so it wont be a problem. as for your question. no.
  17. at least HWSD is a show they can easily modify whenever popularity starts to drop
  18. and you arent entitled to it lol. (QLD/Nth NSW only)
  19. why not just get that $100 pass that gives unlimited entry til july 2010? sure it costs more now, but if you plan on going more than once, especially over summer...
  20. so the current TOT queue was the exit before?
  21. We arrived late (7) as someone had crashed on the motorway and as usual, everyone slowed to look. anyway, it was a good night, we ended up doing 1x Motocoaster 2x AVPX 1x Cyclone 1x Reptar coaster* 1x Chair-O-plane* *only rides still letting people on at 5 to 10. AVPX was using about 7 ops....they had all 3 rooms working tonight, with 2 attendant per room. then there was one chick just moving the queue through (well i think so as she never entered any room). unfortunately i got stuck with a bunch of stupid ****ing screaming teens on the 2nd time i went through. What did everyone else get on?
  22. i will be putting this park up for download for you to mess around with/give advice etc. it is no where near complete. i will also be uploading all the required custom scenery. but first, im off to screamworld. this time the download is 92mb including the custom scenery. link: PARK: http://www.mediafire.com/?nugklmmcmym THEMED FOLDER: http://www.mediafire.com/?zdjjjtzzynh Themed folder goes C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3\Style\Themed (Overwrite it) of course the install directory would change if you moved the location
  23. excellent! thank you very much. just to clarify those questions... 1) so the queue was completely redesigned to bend the other way (torwards tiger island)? anyone got photos? 2) anyone got a video of the pre-show? 3) ok, hmm, how to word this better..... just before you begin your downward spiral to exit the cyclone tower, there is a retractable floor, basically an airbridge (wikipedia image) that connects the tower to the station. what was it used for? surely they had to use it at some point or they wouldnt have it there.
  24. Firstly, i didnt want to spread a small question out over several threads so please bear with me here..... just some questions about dreamworld, rides and queues. 1) TOT - What was the queue theming like originally? (incl a lift? - is that what those doors are with the 15 ppl sign are?? and was there a couple of people dressed up to guide you through? - i swear i saw a segment on TV with that) 2) The Cyclone queue... does anyone have pics of the theming actually working? even better if its a video. and did the big turbine in the middle spin around at all? also if you look to the right of the ride as its going up the hill you can see the back of a van and a sign for cyclone maintenance(?) as part of old theming (i think) where were they used? 3) Cyclone queue again.... just at the top of the (now q4u section/start of the exit walk down) there is controls to move the aircraft-loading-type floor thing (the rubber concertina doors), where they ever moved? if so, why? 4) Cyclone track and maintenance... do they just conduct work on the car when it's in station? i have never seen a seperate maintenance section or any kind of track switch to remove the train. 5) More Cyclone track... when it was in luna park, did it ever have block brakes fitted to that final run before turning back into the station? i noticed the placeholders on the track for them today. 6) and finally... The Dreamworld Railway.... They use the Canonball express train all the time I have seen, but today I noticed "Percy" (green train) and a miniature diesel engine both parked in the work shed. do either of them get used? or only when CB is being serviced? thank you
  25. i guess it would be a bitch to get out of the water. you should just man up like the lifeguards there, i watched them (from the cyclone queue) walk through the water on a cold morning and get out not shaking at all or even bothering to get a towel or anything to warm up. the stupid thing was though, she was wearing a large jacket....but didnt take it off to get in the pool lol
