  1. Even so, you're saying that a theme park news website shouldn't report on theme park news?
  2. Don't forget @Wyncenuros the active forum members aren't the only people who read Parkz. It's a major public site for theme park news, why wouldn't they post theme park news? Especially given the popularity of Aus stereo and how quickly they spread their crap, Parkz needs to combat that and stem the flow of paranoid idiots that can't read past the headline of a news article.

  4. Superman and Batman in $1-billion handshake for mega theme park in UAE. Abu Dhabi-based Miral and US-based Warner Bros. on Tuesday officially announced the launch of Dh3.67 billion ($1 billion) Warner Bros.-themed destination on Yas Island, which is home to the world’s first Ferrari-branded theme park. Construction is already underway on the Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park with rides in production, which opens in 2018. Phase 2 will house a Warner Bros.-branded hotel and an immersive theme park. The themed destination will create over 1,000 jobs in the emirate. The first theme parks in UAE will open in October 2016, which includes Dubai Parks and Resorts’ Motiongate Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai and Legoland Dubai. Six Flags will open up in Q4 2019. IMG World of Adventure is also slated for opening soon. http://www.emirates247.com/superman-and-batman-in-1-billion-handshake-for-mega-theme-park-in-uae-2016-04-19-1.627712
  5. You're right. I do feel bad. I'd been blaming one idiot all along, now if it turns out he had a support person with him who let him on the ride alone, I have two people to call stupid. C'mon Jake, it's not like you could expect much more from someone with trump as they profile pic.
  6. And another perfect example of why click bait works so well - people don't bother to read the articles. For those of you playing along at home, that's the opening paragraph to the article.
  7. Oh ye of little faith... http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/n-s-action-park-return-vertically-looping-waterslide-article-1.2143369
  8. Clickbaiting in the media sense is slightly different. However it can still generate ad revenue for them. Take this small test. Which would you more likely click on? A - "Rollercoaster Stops Mid-ride Leaving Riders Trapped for Hours" B - "Riders Hanging Seconds From Death as Disaster Strikes Gold Coast Themepark" Or a more tame example: A - "Idiot enters restricted area of gold coast themepark to take photos." B - "Major Security Incident at Gold Coast Themepark"
  9. Well it seems pretty much a given since you were the only one allowed that close to the stage
  10. @Slick I take it you get asked by the park/asked the park to do those shots?
  11. All my previous cruises have been P&O and I've never had a problem with the people on board. My next one is on princess. My parents have done around 15 or so cruises and say that princess is much better as the ships are newer and staff nicer. Princess attracts an older crowd on average whereas P&O has a younger vibe apparently. And why wouldn't you go @skeetafly?
  12. Do it @skeetafly I'm booked for my 6th cruise in October. They're so relaxing.
  13. Same way they do on WWF? Lap bars. Not like you can't get past the ones on there either.
  14. How's that work? Too much weight on the latch and friction held it in place? (Assuming there's a bar that locks the hatch closed and releases when it needs to drop)
  15. Tbh restraints wouldn't really change anything as far as ride experience goes. It's not like there's airtime or anything. I'm surprised that they haven't been forced long ago to add them anyway.
  16. Yeah I remember looking at that site when it was "active". I can't believe he still pays for the hosting.
  17. Ah my bad @joz I thought I read somewhere it stopped and then he got out.
  18. @joz the only thing I can think of is that either he did it as soon as the ride stopped (may have been planning on doing it regardless) before the next boat appeared, may have been an empty boat hence no one seeing it up close, or maybe there was a stacking situation where they have a gap between boats?
  19. That was their whole marketing angle when it launches and still is their marketing? The videos and stuff showed people picking their butts after the ride.
