I'm all for new parks in Australia, not that I care much for Sydney. Whether this guy is legit or not, wouldn't it make more sense to pull down the crappy website and replace it with something that actually looks professional and appears to have some backing? Take these two for example - http://southbankresidences.com/ http://www.stcollinslane.com/ Both give bugger all info, especially the first one, but they look professional and legitimate.

Well if you paid more attention to my photos you'd see it's still under construction Looks like I may have been mistaken though, 16 Units, 21 car spaces (incl visitors). The other one has 4 units and 5 spaces + 1 visitor space. I also find it hilarious that this one has a 1.25mX1.27m balcony.

'World Best' Attraction coming to VRTP

The way the people who know what is going on are saying it will make you say "wow", to me that implies it's something we haven't seen before and actually want, rather than going "wow....they really went with THAT?!" -
Out of curiosity, has any non-tower residential block ever been rejected? As in say a block of <20 units. Just curious as the developments across from us received around 20-30 valid objections. Valid due to the parking issues already present in the street and the design of the new blocks not having enough car spaces for all the units. The proposal was still allowed to go ahead.

King Tutts is getting on in years though. A new putt-putt would be nice. -

Is this not the entrance you're referring to @AlexB? Or do you feel something this simple wouldn't suffice? -

There are still a lot of regulations around BOS/BOI permits though. Fortunately haven't come across the situation where one of those mains breaks and something needs to be done about digging it up to fix it though. In saying that, I'd love to see how that plays out. Just to back up what Skeet was saying, these are the only easements (light green) on the land (and the watercourse) Also, looking at the boundaries, it has been combined to one huge lot So at least it looks like it's their land to work with. I'm not sure when these images were taken, the map claims 4/6/15 but there appears to be a couple of red cars in the stunt driver arena and I thought they'd be gone by then? Although driving school was complete and those cars do look like utes so it must be right. As for ideas, incl fixing (I think) the staff entry.... Idea 1 Idea #2 Green area they may not wish to utilise given its proximity to the water tank for the studios. -
I heard a rumour they're introducing motorised vehicles into the show. Should be interesting.

Movie World speculation and dreaming - 2015 edition

Could it just be an extension to the carpark? Although, wasn't it Seaworld that was going to get that carpark coaster years ago? -

Just to be a pain in the ass, is it possible to get shots of all of the parks without the road overlay? -

Here's the application itself. I found it under "entertainment road". Anyone able to locate the name it's been lodged under? http://pdonline.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/masterview/modules/applicationmaster/default.aspx?page=wrapper&key=225405 Couldn't find it under "village" -
I tried to edit the headline after I posted it but it seems that isn't a fucntion on this forum. Would you mind changing it to include the date at the start? "21 Nov 2015 - Seaworld temporarily evacuated due to nearby bushfire". The news seemed to suggest that the evac was due to the possibility of the wind changing direction and pushing the fire south (along with the obvious smoke issues). Multiple news sites now reporting visitors are allowed to return to the park however it's suggested by QFES for everyone to avoid the area unless absolutely necessary. Latest official: edit - Damn, I just realised I missed the perfect opportunity to use "BREAKING NEWS" and it actually was breaking news.

Link for non-mobile users: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-11-21/firefighters-battle-large-vegetation-fire-gold-coast-spit/6960988 "Both Sea World, its adjacent resort and a nearby recreational area have been evacuated as a precaution" This whole zone has been declared a disaster area. "Queensland Fire and Emergency Services ground crews are working to contain the fire with water-bombing operations expected to begin shortly." "But it's heading south from that - if the wind changed it's about a kilometre north of Sea World."
