  1. while im sad to see another of the few rides left that i grew up with close this is the right decision
  2. Its personal speculation for now Im sure once the course of the accident is known dreamworld will be given a plan of what is needed to be done to bring the ride upto date and stop this or any other incidents happening again Im sure it will lead to big $$$ needing to be spent witch is why i feel a decision to not reopen the ride likely As much as i dont wont to lose the ride It would also be the right decision in respect of KATE - LUKE - ROOZBEH & CINDY just my feeling towards all this I dont think i would ever feel 100% rideing it again just knowing these poor soles lost there lives If anyone gets what i am feeling Yes i agree if there are any plans signed off But any future big plans will be far off now i feel As in a replacement for thunder river rapids etc if the ride does not reopen Is what i mean
  3. Its part of gold rush yes but can remain and be rethemed to what ever rides - attractions that may replace the other 3 rides - gold rush theme That said im thinking any new attractions - rides are long off As dreamworld works on rebuilding its brand and trust
  4. Yes you are right sorry but i dont class buzzsaw as park of gold rush country because it was added and themed to the area and can remain with a new theme if they do remove the other 3 rides
  5. The thunder river rapids will not reopen The thunder river rapids and eureka mountain mine ride are part of the same structure so you have to remove both They and the chair lift station form what is gold rush country 2 of the 3 rides have been sbno for 10 years Its simple to say that they will all be removed if the thunder river rapids does not reopen
  6. the main reason it was not removed was becouse the thunder river rapids ride is under it i don't see them knocking down the rapids and leaveing eureka asbestos or not and the chair lift station will go becouse they will be removeing the whole of gold rush other then buzzsaw
  7. but its the best thing to do as a show of respect for kate - luke - roozbeh & cindy RIP will be sad to see the thunder river rapids and eureka mountain mine ride + the chair lift stations come down all the same another big part of dreamworlds history will be missed
  8. i don't think there will be any replacements for the skyway - pirate ship or train sadly yes i dont wont to see the vikings revenge close too
  9. same but i was even more sad when they closed the great gremlins adventure at movie world and the looney tunes river ride to be honest but looking at it now im sort of glad they have closed these older atractions becouse there is less chance of a incident happening like on the thunder river rapids with the rides been so old etc
  10. it later became what was known as kenny land witch had few little kids rides - like electric ride on cars etc it was removed to make way for nick central
  11. as much as seeing the CCTV footage would help us understand this incident better. those who have seen the footage have said they wish to never see it again if they do not have too. here's hopeing the CCTV footage never find its way into the public and on youtube etc as many other theme park incidents have in the past
  12. witch is fair to say ardent will given there finance situration after this incident - if there were any plans etc
  13. I think its very likely that both thunder river rapids and eureka mountain mine ride will both be knocked down shortly after the coronal inquiry is complete
  14. was still called cyclone at the time of the incident - media whould just have not noticed the rides name has changed it seems
  15. lets hope now that we know the parks not going to reopen until the funerals of the 4 killed have finished . that the media now back off a bit and let the family's deal with laying there loved ones to rest and the police get down to finding out just how this incident happened . and the rest of us can try and take in just what has happened for me im still just as upset by this as i was on tuesday afternoon. haveing grown up going on the thunder river rapids who knows how many times since i was 4 years old it has hit me hard this could have happened
  16. the father of a casual team member rang ray hadley yesterday saying dreamworld had said his son will be paid
  17. in the long run Ardent - Dreamworld can do what ever they like and be it weather or not they are found to be at fault for the incident. 4 people died at the park and nothing is going to change that nor are anyone going to forget just what has happened
  18. this incident is just one of those OUT OF THE BLUE SHOCKING MOMENTS and its going to be a long time before it becomes one of those oh year remember when moments for me
  19. I remember the rotating platform in the late 80's - early 90's but also do not remember when it was removed But it seems removeing it for safety may have been what made it less safe leading to this incident been abel to happen - just how im thinking about now tho
  20. Without the rafts been stoped there would have been less chance of the raft getting stuck is how i see it
  21. The rotating platform was removed for safety yet if it was not removed this incident likely whould not have happened ?
  22. im sure they would remove the whole ride - concrete channels im sure this incident will also kill any plans to refurbish eureka as they would not chance any incidents on another 30 year old ride
  23. with it been very likely that the thunder river rapids ride will not reopen does everyone think dreamworld will leave it and eureka sbno as they seem to like to do or do you think they will take the chance to remove both rides ASAP as respect to the incident
  24. For years i have been saying how upset i am that older attractions that we all grew up with have been removed from our theme parks but after this shock accident im now sort of glad the older attractions have been removed as it lessens the chance of something like this happening again
