Adventure World 2015 - 'Mi2' Kraken Tornado slide
Tim Dasco replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Hi @Mark Shaw, Are you able to answer this question? What life spans do the manufactures put on rides like Abyss and Kraken? I gather you want them to run for a long period of time but are you able to say their average lifespan that the manufacturer gives you? Thanks Tim -

Just thought I should begin the speculation based on what Mark has already told us about MI3. He said Europe so I guess we can rule out a Pro slides. Trying to make a list of European manufacturers: (Cant think of any others) Vekoma Zamperla Mack Fabbri Group Gerstlauer Intamin B & M (We can rule this out) KMG -

7.5 Million. Thats more than the Kraken. I am already exited. I can't wait and keep up the good work. And I do agree that extra lawn area should be good on days when it is really busy. Look forward to visiting soon. -

Official statement from AW's Facebook page: Its a good idea for them to keep some of the ride as theming. I wonder where they will put it? -
Thanks @themagician. Really appreciate it.

Any one with near maps wants to upload Adventure Worlds latest maps and MW's? (DD)

Let me know as soon as Chants respond. Hopefully the Perth Royal Show ride list or RMS ride list comes out and can confirm it. I really dislike their new website. Its hard to navigate.
-
But its weird because normally they revel the ride line up in the first week of August. Nothing has been uploaded yet. Infant their ride list was removed.
-
From Chants website: Source: http://chantsamusements.com.au/rides/roller-coaster/ The PL ride would normally be in the process of construction this week as its 34 days till the Perth Royal Show. So if its not set up this week its most likely not going to be there this year. They normally set it up before anything else arrives at the site. This is so they can lay the whole coaster piece out across the whole sideshow alley and then put it together. But Show West have been trying to sell a lot of their gear lately. But we will know very soon as we get closer to show date.

The sad part was you were lying and people believed you, but Iwerks was telling the truth and people thought he was lying. -
Been looking online and well the Python Loop roller coaster has been sold to Chants Amusements. (Listed on Chants website) So I guess that means no more PL at the Perth Royal Show. But instead it will most likely head to RMS as Chants takes all their equipment their. This is some sad news for WA ride operators and it seems like Show West are getting rid of most of their rides.Their ranger is sold to Bells, Python loop is now sold and they have taken the Nitro of their website. Also they have taken a lot of their kids rides of their website. So they only have 3 thrill rides left Dodgems X 1 or 2 (Not sure), Wave swinger and Orbiter. (I still think they have the Gee Whiz and Dodgems that are permanent at the PRS) You then also have the Super Bowl which is for sale also. This won't help the Perth Royal Show as last year their were in the negative of 2 million from the show. So with less rides this year hopefully they can get more new rides to make up for these missing rides.

Nobody trusts you @iwerks. You must be making up rumours because 30 year old rides never need replacing. For those who want to see the article here it is: http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/iconic-adventure-world-ride-removed--rip-bountys-revenge-20160820-gqx97b.html -

Apparently the ride being removed and no sign of the ride and AW saying it has been removed is not enough proof. -

I would give it a couple of days. The media won't care about it until they realise that the GP care that much about it. -

Actually would a ride like the claw be a good replacement for BR. A version that does not go much hirer than the horizontal line. Like BR swinging range. -

@iwerks I can't believe how many shares your post has gotten about BR 688 and there are tones of comments. But people still think your joking. (Idea for next April fools If you know what I mean) -

They did say they have already paid MI3's deposit so I doubt this would alter their choice unless they were aware that BR was on the way out quite some time in advanced. As I am sure they would have decided/got their ideas for MI3 quite some time ago. So I think MI4 might be the replacement to cater for BR replacement. However AW may have already got a ride that suits BR target audience with MI3. I guess we will have to wait and see. Thats why I am guess a family coaster or a Lazy river as that would soak up guest and would be something for all ages. -

Now that it has been said that MI3 is coming to AW in 2017 I think we should move it into its own thread and outside of the Kraken thread. Also put general AW chat in here. Lets begin the speculation on what the attraction is. I also want to add that Mark said that its not quite up there with a B&M or indoor coaster. But he has never ruled out a smaller coaster or family coaster. Hmmm nice wording. -

I know. The amount of people commenting on your post was insane. Was that the most comments you have had in 1 post. Read these on one of the comment on your Facebook page Iwerks and it was interesting. "I used to work for AdventureWorld as part of my pre-apprenticeship about a month ago. One of the supervisors there said the ride was terribly unsafe and obsolete, and it needed replacing to prevent an inevitable accident (the underside of the ship was full of welds because it kept scraping into the concrete)." Also I never new AW did Pre-apps. -

It looks weird. At least they got rid of it straight away and did not leave it SBNO. Like other theme parks. -

I think if that is the case AW should come out and publicly announce it. As people might not be so agro at AW if they know it was removed due to age. -

I agree with that however Turbo Mountain was removed because the manufacturer went bust and they could not source parts. Technically Turbo Mountain was replaced by the free Fall now Inferno. This was my first thought and it makes me wonder why the choice was made to remove it now as if it being removed for MI3 you would think they would remove it when MI3 construction was starting not now. If they were selling it perhaps they were waiting for someone to buy it before they removed it. I also wondered why the choice to get rid of it rather than move it to another area in the park. (It would suit in dragons kingdom and shouldn't be to complicated to move. I think.) So this makes me believe it is being removed due to the ride getting old. It has been at AW for 30 years. I also seems weird they start building the new season pass entrance now and the car park construction is just starting. I would have thought they would have started when last season started not now. But I am sure they have construction schedules and are aware of when the projects will be finished. With that being said I am interested to see what AW have in store and I am sure Mark and his team made the right choice based on what their future plans are for the park. The new attraction (MI3) Might be at the front of the park as that whole area on the right side is now clear and empty. So hopefully this makes an impact on first arrival and waiting in the queue line. I am holding bets on a lazy river going around that area or a slide tower or possible another flat ride as they might need something to fill the void for family dry rides.(Oh I forgot about the rumoured kids waterslides) But looking forward to MI3 and all the future MI projects. So thats two attractions removed Paddle Boats and Bounty's Revenge.
