100% agree. I was surprised at how much they tried to interact with guests - even before getting into the park And their ‘tests’ to check for contamination were clever too. The music they played was great too (imo anyway) - hard rock and heavy metal 🤘
Now I don’t mean to sound super harsh but it didn’t really feel like a Fright Nights event but more of a park after dark event with a few scare actors roaming around. Perhaps the locals could let me know if the event is in its early years?
The maze was quite good and elaborate but there didn’t seem to be a consistent theme - but maybe I was just put off by the clown that was following me and laughing creepily at times. I also thought that having the maze as an upcharge (not included with entry ticket) is a good idea. I think that should be something for MW to consider if they’re to have such a big maze with such a long wait next year (again, imo). Have the smaller mazes included in entry ticket and then pay and book for the big maze.
So the event grew to a a large level but it always rained out the event. So they decided to change it last season to Feb last season to get better weather which back fired. So this was the first year back during Halloween so they are building the event up again. However the park was packed out on the Sat night when the weather cleared. All major rides had 30-1 hour queues and the fog machines and contamination zones were out cos the weather cleared.

The next iteration of Neon Nights has been announced for Sat Nov 30th.
Doesn’t appear to be any new inclusions or entertainment, so will likely be as per the previous one.
Tix $29 or $19 if a passholder
Well there is no TOT2 but Sky Voyager is now open.

I was thinking about it but if it’s going to be this cold again tomorrow (technically today) then I won’t.
By the way, I totally understand now when you said you leave your stuff on the lawn. You could never do anything like that at any park in QLD.
Well I got a locker tonight didn’t want the rain, wind and hail to ruin my bag.

First of all, if this post belongs under another topic please close this.
In true Amy fashion, I have decided to do a spur of the moment trip to Perth on Thursday - just to visit Adventure World. I’m also planning on going to their Fright Nights event on Thursday night (tickets already booked 😊).
I’ve never been to Adventure World before let alone Perth, so I was hoping someone might give me some tips eg: do I need a locker or are there storage bins on the rides, etc
I’m super excited about finally getting to visit as I’ve been trying to get there for over a year and a half and it just didn’t happen.
Thanks in advance!
Amy
Hi Amy, @iwerks and myself will be there on Thursday! So @iwerks always has camera equipment so he gets a locker. I personally leave my keys, wallet in my bag which I put next to a tree around the main lawn and I keep my phone on me unless I’m doing water slides. For dry rides you can store lose articles in boxes for every ride.
With waterslides it’s the same but I wouldn't leave phones around water.
Apparently pre ticket sales have been strong so could be a busy night. Hope that helps. Have you precooked a maze time?

The new NCC 2019 version that come out is for any new buildings, this is what got sky voyager caught up cos they started the paperwork process after this fact. It would be a WPHSQ decision to force them to comply not a NCC issue. The only reason a building would be forced to comply with updated regulations is if you do major renovation work.
(NCC Stands for National Construction code for those wondering)

@A.H it was an attraction called Kiddie Creek which was a kids ride for those under 100cm’s I believe and they would go around the creek for one lap in a little boat. This attraction was remove the year Kahuna Falls opened.

Actually I highly don't think thats the case. The conveyor belt and splashdown pool seem to be designed So another ride can't use those facilities.
I can confirm they 100% can, the pool just needs to be widened and the other slide will start right next to the kraken conveyer belt.

and what were these plans
I would say a new proslide slapped next to Kraken utilising the same splash down pool and same conveyer belt might have been the plan? Am I right? 😀

Aqualoop is semi-transparent. They're not solid colour. If you paint them, Aqualoop will become The Black Hole 2.0.
There is an American company that specialises in painting rides and slides and they have the special equipment to paint semi transparent slides. LPS hired them to paint some of their rides.

whats the difference between extreme thriller and nitro?
Different manufacturer, the nitro is a Zamperla discovery and I’m not sure who makes the Extreme Thriller but it looks like a knock of on KMGs Freak Out ride design. Having done both of them yesterday the Extreme thriller pushes you downwards with a lot of force similar to the Intamin gyro swing and Nitro slowly pushes you out with more floater airtime.

The team from Pollin/Aqua plex aqutica are finishing up in Perth this week with Outback splash and should be heading over soon. So I would expect to see slide parts turning up soon.

Is it just me or do those photos seem over processed / saturation turned up max? Otherwise looks cool.
Nope they aren’t, @iwerks is a great photographer and he does a great job, he takes these photos on his camera and uploads them while at the park. Plus these new slides are really shiny and the sun was shining bright.

Apparently the park has a ride graveyard. Train seen in there 10 years before being put up with slides
Yeah the graveyard is still there but has been cleared up recently, house some old stuff including some small parts of turbo Mountain roller coasters track section and supports.

Haha you're not solving a murder case... it's really not that hard to work out 🙂
Would I be wrong in saying Australian amusement services?

Any word on whether it will reach the Eastern states?
Not at this stage, trying to work out who owns it still. @iwerks and myself will be at the ride preview next Wednesday and hopefully can get some answers.
