Park was busy today with what I would say around 4,000 people there. While at the park today a few things I have noticed, Along with the perviously discussed misting system that was installed in the Kraken queue they have installed a hose system that sprays water onto the path for the Tidal Wave & Sea Serpents queue along with new flooring and railings. As mention earlier in another thread the Aussie Wildlife experience has reopened. However this area personaly could still use more work to really make it lively.
Rampage is still closed and a staff member said it was awaiting a new part, Goliath was closed all day but opened at 6:15pm giving 45 minutes of cycle time before the park closed at 7pm. Seemed like the issue was with the floor not dropping properly. (But thats a guess) Good to see maintenance working all day to get it up and running ASAP to avoid having it out of service during peek season.
A Shipping container has been placed next to the Moat and the Container was opened and then closed later on and some movement was happening around the area. Not sure if its MI-4 related or for something else.

So a few points from to recent visits:
AW Nights Saturday Night: Was very popular compared to last week. With a massive queue at the front of the park before the event had opened. The Goliath, Kraken queues both filled and over flowed and Abyss went down to the bottom queue race. The food trucks and band had been moved closer to the main lawn making the area feel more lively.
On my recent visit yesterday the park was fairly busy for a Monday and it was good to see Rampage running lots of full cycles. (Not happy being forced to go on it 3 times in a row tho. ) Its good to also see a new misting system up in the Kraken Queue line which does help keep people cool.

@Aw hype so in regards to Rampage they re painted it last season, and during this last off season they re did all the wiring, replaced the seating and put a new type of restraint system on it. Yes its an extreme ride and I personally find one ride is enough. But with the money spent on it I think it will be there for at least 5 years.
Now the island had been cleaned up over recent visits. It was quite over run with leave and has since been cleaned.

Possibly, but our parks don't close in the winter either.
Some do, IE Fun Fields, Adventure World.
But in regards to trading hours Adventure World's trading hours are 10am-7pm sun-friday and Saturday is 10am-6pm with their AW Nights event being every Saturday from 6:30pm-11pm. These hours are for the whole of January.

Hey guys, thought this would be the right place to ask the question. Around what sort of temperature do most rides have to close? Would a 36 degree day result in the closure of many rides?
I believe your talking about adventure world? It’s roughly 41 degrees coasters like Abyss close down as steel starts to bend. This has happened a few times each season. Most other slides and rides would operate. It would probs be more of it being to hot for the ride operators to work. (Being 45 degrees and up)

The ride itself was 12 million dollars. 20 million includes removal of Bermuda Triangle and everything else. Not just the storm ride.

No Christmas tree?! 🌲
It was taken in November, I’m sure the Goliath booth has a Christmas tree just like Abyss does. 😂

I agree with all that @AlexB but we actualy haven’t been missing out on concerts we have had Taylor Swift, Adele, Katy Perry, Imagine dragons, Green Day, Pink just to name some. So I wouldn’t say we missed out.

Well when universal studios fast pass in Singapore is only $70 AUD. I think the still a joke. Along with Cedar Points fast pass ultimate being $79 USD.

Star flyer is a typical off the shelf name for this ride type. Plus most carnival rides like this are called star flyer or sky flyer. With that being said there is a 4th unit star flyer which was recently purchased and shipped from the UK to Australia. This one also matches the height of Sea Worlds.

Something like Mystic Manor at HKDL is great! Great use of technology and practical theming.

@Adam C I believe MI4 is still coming for 2019/2020 season. Personally as with MI1-3 I doubt we will hear much if anything until after the park has closed for the season. My personal opinion is either a Lazy River around the front of the park or another massive pro-slide next to Kraken. However we will have to wait and see.

I found this case study which gives a little inside into Adventure World's Abyss Marketing Campaign. So I thought I would share it.

Just on he topic of confused belts, the tornado was designed with one in mind and you can tell the pool has been built for one to be installed. But they just haven’t built it yet.
