Goliath - Adventure World’s new Intamin Gyro Swing
ABYSS replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Interesting. Thanks for letting me know guys. Hopefully it'll be back up soon, I'm sure it wasn't meant to just be a "leak". Also for anyone who can't access the TT story from the video supplied, or would just like to read the whole story instead, it can be found via this link: https://thewest.com.au/news/wa/new-attraction-swings-into-adventure-world-ng-b88540070z -

Andrew Sherry (CEO), I'm pretty sure said the tower was 15m. Also the Abyss gate was moved so it wouldn't be damaged from construction we believe. Also @Tim Dasco the other places were Slovakia, Liptonstine* (Definetly spelt that wrong, never heard of the place) and the Phillipines- Guessing from the same place that Abyss theming was made from Phillipines. -

Interesting as they teased us with theming. Reminds me of the Ramoage and I feel the will be a statue of mi3's theme, similar to how the Rampage's was represented. Opens September as mentioned above. New AW CEO is Andrew Sharry. Low quality photos of theming here: -

Yeah we are aware, we already posted it on the last page and it's about to start in about 15 mins here in WA. Thanks for taking the effort to post it though! -

My mate just said he drove past AW and the billboard that is at the back of the park (On the hill where the Kraken is) has been changed to advertise mi3. He hasn't gotten any photos and said he didn't know how to explain the billboard so if anyone passes by AW and has a look let us know what it is! (Ps. If this is incorrect information, I'm sorry I believe the person who told me about it) -

Are you suggesting that mi3 could have elements of water effects? This could be really cool as when the swing comes bakc down to the Earth water could be sprayed at the riders. This concept would suit AW really well aswell. -

Do you guys think we will be hearing anything about the theming or name of the ride on Monday night via Today Tonight? I personally don't think so due to passed experiences with AW's MI's, but things could have changed because we have already seen a difference in marketing for mi3 this year. -

Hype!! It will be interesting seeing the new CEO for AW (for the first time - at least for me anyway) aswell judging by the promo clip. -

I agree as every off season they usually still post promotional stuff. The only other explanation for this being true is maybe if there has been a change up in the social media marketers team for AW, or as for posting about mi3 as @Aw hype suggested, maybe they are waiting for something specificly to be finished with mi3 before indeed posting. -

Interesting as it seems Creative Works have taken down the post of mi3 from yesterday. https://www.facebook.com/creativeworks.com.au/?fref=ts -
Thank you for making the effort.

Anyone have any idea of why AW have been so quiet about posting things on social media of progress whilst building mi3 compared to when they were constructing Kraken and Abyss. Also my mistake @Gazza. -

Been keeping a closeness eye on Creative Works' FB page and today I hadn't, my luck lately ahaha. Anyways, I went passed but I couldn't really see anything as there were too many cars behind me so I couldn't take my time. As for AW Hype, when we sore NearMap images of AW it looked like where the Castle used to be there was still flat ground and it hadn't been covered with grass. Maybe this could be were a potential mi4 could be or maybe it just was kept that way for a particular reason or so a new castle could be built there in the future. -

About to head past AW in about 10 mins not going to stop or anything but going to try and see what's been done. Weather hasn't been the best here in Perth so not sure if it's slowed down construction at all. I'll try to get some photos and I will post them if they are ok but otherwise I will definitely update everyone with what's going on. -
Alrighty, guess it hasn't updated since.

I know that this thread is quite old, not sure if my request will be answered but I will give it a go anyway. I was wondering if someone could supply updated images if Adventure World in Perth. Thanks Alex.

Okay, I see. I'm just an uneducated speculator and I actually didn't know that. That makes sense. Thanks for letting me know. Now I just feel dumb. If I would have looked up at the pictures I would have seen that I was wrong. Anyways I'm just to hyped to ride this monster. -

Not exactly as stupid of an idea as you may think. Looking back a couple of pages to where NearMap images were supplied, we can see that the support gaps have a wider gap facing towards the Abyss, maybe my theory may actually be correct, maybe we are going to see mi3 swing over Abyss. You can see that the wider part supports my idea (where there are red lines have a wider support structure space), I'm pretty sure the narrow part wouldn't be the direction in which it would swing. Also if it were to swing in the direction of the black widow and the opposite end toward the lagoon, it would swing very close to the rampage's queue's roof. I'm sorry if this all sounds confusing. Mark did say that mi3 will have a cutting edge feature that will make it different to the other installations. I have an idea as to what this could be. Loke at Liseberg swings over its neighbouring rides, see where I'm going here? Abyss. What if mi3's ginormous swing attacks Abyss to the point where you feel as though the two are going to collide and you are going to be crushed. However I don't know if this would be possible. The more logical way that the ride would be positioned would be to swing along ways against the Abyss instead of interfering with it. Would there be enough space? Would this idea interfere with the SkyLift? You guys tell me what you think about this idea. -Michael -

Just to start off, I know how bad the quality is in this photo. I was driving passed AW yesterday and I pulled out my phone to take some photos (iPhone 5s so obviously not going to be the best of quality also as I was moving due to being in a vehicle). There are these objects and I was wondering if anyone else got any photos of them because they would help out as these photos are really bad quality (Maybe iwerks as you got some photos yesterday). Anyways, I know it's hard to see but the first thing just looks like a big kahuna (Tiki) bin and than I don't know what the next objects are. They are circular and I'm not sure if they have anything to do with mi3. Here is the photo:
