  1. Yes, I would of thought they would of made some sort of attempt seeing as though it was 5 days ago and as you said- upcoming school holidays. Wonder if they are waiting on advice from Mack about what to do with it?
  2. Has anyone seen any work on rivals in terms of removing the stuck train? Or know when it might reopen?
  3. Movie would just updated their page…. Scooby, rivals, WWF all closed today in addition to the others already closed.
  4. Appears as though both rivals and Scooby will be open today. Neither are listed on the under maintenance page anymore.
  5. UPDATE FROM MOVIE WORLD Late this afternoon the Scooby Doo ride's safety system was engaged following a minor guest behaviour incident which resulted in a ride stoppage in the high zone. Due to the location of the stoppage, we engaged with Queensland Fire & Emergency Services (QFES) to conduct the unload process. The guests on board were completely safe throughout the process and our expert team were in constant communication with them. The four guests on-board were all safely unloaded. The safety and wellbeing of our guests is our highest priority and our team conduct regular training with QFES on these scenarios and we would like to thank them for their assistance.
  6. In relation to DC rivals being stuck mid course before the loop. Does anyone know how long that sort of thing takes for them to fix? I assume it has to be towed back to the station somehow? or is it more of an operation where it is craned from the track?
  7. I was wondering the same. I've been ' stuck' on it twice... Both at the first break run at the top of the wild mouse bit as you come off the turntable. Both times a normal member of staff has been the one to come and help you out and point you in the direction of the emergency exit stairs leading back into the park.
  8. Yep. Scooby also down- QFS are there helping remove people. that means that WWF, rivals, JL, ,GL and Scooby are now all closed
  9. WWF is down yet again for unplanned maintenance.... anyone know what the issue is?
  10. So one of the new mazes is the ' Death Row Maze' https://frightnights.com.au/mazes/death-row
  11. Do you think they will actually decrease the numbers attending though? Or are you referring to the fact that a higher price will naturally decrease the attendance? IMO id be willing to put money on it that MW has not and will not reduce the cap themselves.
  12. The prices this year... Was expecting more, but wow. For example in 2019 when I went it was $59 for general entry and $60 for fast track on the mazes. This year is is $79 for general entry and a whopping $119 for fast track of mazes. Also no terror tour. I mean I'll still go, but its a shame to see them increase the prices so much and it will put it out of reach for a lot of people.
  13. I was at the park today and yep. Turned off. I thought the same as you- that they might only use it for peak periods. Green lemon was also having technical issues today as well
  14. Old thread I know..... But does anyone have any insight to as if they will ever bring back the buffet at Ricks? It was one of the most popular and best value food offerings at the park imo.
  15. Not sure if it's been mentioned already, but it appears as though Movie World have changed their FB page so you can no longer leave reviews or see reviews? Ignorance is bliss I guess?
  16. Ahhh ok. I always thought it ran continuously due to how noisy it was. It seemed so much quieter this time.
  17. So I can’t remember if it’s been mentioned already but has anyone noticed now, on GL, that the lift hill chain and motor only run when a train is on the lift hill as opposed to when it used to just run non stop? Certainly it makes it a much quieter experience. On another note- I visited the park today. Not much different happening maintenance wise. GL, Scooby, and rivals were operating as normal. Very very slow operations on rivals though. Nothing of interest was happening at WWF and no testing or notable works being conducted.
  18. Ouch. SE, GL, Doomsday, WWF and batwing are all down at the moment.
  19. Yep front rows still out. They are blocked by an elegantly placed bin haha. I think the only reason the wait times were so long for an off peak week day was the fact that SE and GL were both down. Rivals only operating one train. You’d think they would at least put two trains on it knowing that they are losing a big chunk of capacity with SE and GL being down.
  20. Visited the park today. Nothing happening at all on GL and train is still sitting at the bottom of the lift hill. Finally got to go on WWF with the new boats, definitely much quieter on the two lift hills but apart from that no real changes. Wait times were around 45 mins for most of the day. If it wasn't for SE, GL, and batwing being closed it would of been walk on on all the rides all day I would think.
  21. So does anyone know what’s actually wrong with GL and when it might be fixed?
  22. WWF, GL and SE all down at the moment.
  23. Well it’s official. There will be no events industry left soon.
  24. I went to MW today. Dommsday still down, with no visible works happening. SE was working well, with all effects working including water on stairs. WWF was working well with all effects when I went on it in the morning, but closed after lunch due to technical difficulties. Unsure if it ended up re-opening. GL is back to only running two trains, making the operations seem even slower. No Audio on the trains again. Rivals and Scooby both running normally with everything working.
