  1. I found - in my experience - coasters with spinney cars are much better when the layout is designed for it. Time Traveler and The Ride to Happiness are much better than both Taipan and Enso.
  2. I don't think S&S can offer anything better than RMC/Mack/B&M can offer - Maxx Force acceleration in G's is very close to Superman .. and Steel Curtain is a massive lemon. Probably the most over-hyped underwhelming coaster I've done.
  3. Not really related but prob the best place to put this? Sunrise weather is from Sea World today
  4. How about killing two birds with one stone? Two RMC coasters that duel, one with a family layout, one with a thrill layout - kinda like Battlestar Galactica?
  5. Don’t worry - they take 3 years to build a new coaster anyway. More than enough time to iron out kinks.
  6. Does anyone else thing they'll step away from getting a RMC single rail when there's a Intamin single rail in Sydney?
  7. The SteVie collision wasn’t really a big deal - the ride reopened the same day (with one train.. so like a normal day on the GC) Ops are a lot better now since they got double sided lockers (I’m looking at you “superman”)
  8. RMC’s have been pretty solid since they fixed the lift hill of Lightning rod - as far as I know. Gwazi/Untamed/Zandra have been fine once they paid the bill and opened. Programming of Gwazi is rubbish but they can fix that here
  9. Totally forgot GL existed last night. I just think RMC offer a very unique and lap-able product - and nothing even close exists here. GP will compare a B&M hyper to rivals - even tho they’re completely different.
  10. RMC is the ticket. - Australia's / southern hemisphere's first Hybrid roller coaster - Australia's / southern hemisphere's steepest drop on a roller coaster (unlikely but remotely possible) - Australia's / southern hemisphere's first outward banking turn - Australia's / southern hemisphere's first zero g stall etc etc.... and it could come with a family friendly height restriction to boot!
  11. The only reason Baron is any good is because of the immense theming and fantastic operations - none of which we would ever get here. I wouldn’t mind it though.
  12. I said this somewhere else but something like Untamed would be perfect for the GC - failing that - B&M hyper airtime machine. I don't think another inverted coaster would anything - but I'd settle for a forceful flier.
  13. i just want to ride rollercoasters in australia when it's dark outside of events.
  14. Sure. Pretty sure it will be the southern hemispheres first trackless dark ride! Checks all the boxes.
  15. I managed to get 3 laps of Apollo once - front row - at dark. Some how the last two groups of the front row were 3’s. Perfect. Got a double ride on shammy too - In the back row. Ops were actively asking for people to re-ride .. maybe to make sure it was a fast cycle? Anyway in conclusion - allowing rerides should definitely happen more often on coasters here.
  16. Just leave them on Gazza - you can just keep the rest of the train secure and unlock the rear car. Simples.
  17. Unsure why there's so much uninformed talk about unsafe working at heights ... we're talking about bringing in employees from overseas who do this for a living. Unrestricted climbing happens ... without handrails... only harnesses.. every single day.. even in Australia! Unsure how this is a problem stopping parks here have reasonable close times.
  18. Luckily for them they could get crew from overseas who normally do winter work in the northern hemisphere to do the same here. This was the same one that's been closed for me on half of my visits - rmc wen? True - but I was there in November (their dead season) and every ride was open.. just running damn slow because it was like 5 degrees C They haven't announced an end date -but the last time it closed - it was only for two weeks.
  19. Is there any reason why it takes so long here? SFMM as far as I'm aware currently has 20 rollercoasters open.. with no issue. In fact while i've been there I've only seen one coaster closed due to maintenance. I can't remember the last time Disney coasters need to close down for so long.. I can imagine the outrage if Space Mountain was closed for months for scheduled maintenance (overlay installations are different), in fact evening opening late causes so much of an outrage an article was written about it!
