The article somewhat stresses the barn, which there's a large barn-like building situated close to Superman (also basically facing it as well), and in the image itself it seems like the path is just straight with no definitive beginning/end, so if I had to guess the barn-like structure beside Superman may be an entranceway connected to Superman's plaza. Either that or it's a dressed up facade to enclose whatever's inside the Emerald Castle -

From what I can make out, there's an entrance/multiple pathways leading into the Emerald Castle, and there may be a little splash zone. -

Before someone in-the-know leaks it, I'm just gonna throw in a theory and say that directly after the quote about Marvin the Martian they show an artist's rendition of Trident. Maybe it'll be a swingchair, or some type of observation ride like it? -

I don't have a lot to say about the coasters that hasn't already been said, but my main worry now is the quality of theming as well. The closest to a 'themed land' Australia really has is the Dreamworks Experience section of Dreamworld, which isn't that bad but doesn't add any F&B/Retail and is obviously not VRTP. As far as VRTP goes, the closest they've got is WWF's plaza, which is okay, but as an area is rather small and wouldn't be anything to write home about if it weren't for WWF's mountain (which is good, but something that WoOz's land can't realistically have). I hope it's themed well, and if it is then the rides themselves matter less to me, but I remain sceptical of their ability to do so (especially with their last 'precinct' being the 2+ year delayed, Six Flags-level 'New Atlantis', just quietly). -

Maybe they can hold a joint opening ceremony for the Wizard of Oz precinct at MW and Leviathan? (Not Trident, ofc, as COVID'll delay that further) -

Honestly, I don't even think that 'relevant IP' matters. Cedar Fair consistently uses Snoopy in their childrens areas, a whole new family-oriented park was constructed solely based around Peppa Pig, and families here already enjoy the Looney Tunes section, ABC Kids World, and Scooby Doo coaster. If you were to make something with the sole purpose of relevancy for current youth, it'd run the risk of being incredibly dated and boring in like 5 years (e.g. trending games or even social media personalities). What matters is if it's somewhat whimsical, relatively timeless, and perhaps recognisable. -

Also just to clarify, I did try to stress as much as I could that it both likely means nothing and that I have no credibility. I only mentioned it in my repost as I thought it'd highlight that even the staff there have their doubts. -

Actually, a churro vendor told me that the whole precinct is rising out of the ground due to construction awakening a monster from the depths. -

If it's themed well, is large enough to work as a second path that connects to the bottom of the park as to circumvent main street (as the movement of the tornado somewhat suggests), and doesn't open 3 years after the precinct's original opening date, it could be great despite having 3 cloned kiddie/family coasters. -
Arkham asylum replacement theming??

As much as I'd want it to, I think it's more designed to give a few moments of gentle floater over the persistent aggressive ejector that RMC's known for/DCR has. Won't know for sure until it's open, but the website has consistently listed it under a 'Mild' thrill level (in comparison, Storm is 'Max'), which doesn't mean a whole lot in and of itself, but further leads me to a conclusion of it being purposefully milder. So, even though Sea World's probably the park that'd be 2nd most benefitted by a Vekoma Thrill Coaster, I still think they'd be at least evenly benefitted by a ride like an RMC. -

Yeah, I saw they made flats, I'm just saying as far as coasters go they've been a bit sketch -

A new-gen Vekoma Thrill Coaster would fit Movie World much more than any RMC, especially because of DC Rivals. But as far as 'our parks' go, no other park really has an airtime machine, whereas most of the potential RMC parks already have a launch (with inversions, too) so an RMC'd still probably be better like at all other parks. No. Just no. -

According to RCDB, they've only constructed 2 coasters that aren't wacky worms, and one of them is a spinning wild mouse, so this was by far their largest installation. Seems to me like they're a much smaller-scale Zamperla, Fabbri, SBF Visa, Reverchon, or Pinfari. As for the coaster itself's track record, the front car derailed and fell to the ground, injuring 4, very shortly after it's grand opening in 2008. Then, after almost a year of downtime, the ride system had multiple malfunctions on it's second opening day in 2009 (https://web.archive.org/web/20090601054840/http://jp.dk/indland/aar/article1709266.ece). So, in my opinion (based on the history above), it's at least partially due to a sketchy flat/kiddie manufacturer trying to branch out into thrills way too fast, and making an ultimately flawed/dangerous ride that should've closed before it opened. -

I think it was just a lot of different people corroborating it, and having the same event as the source. -

Idk why but I've always thought Dreamworld'd be the ones to get the regions' first RMC. Just makes more sense to me, both for their chain and for the tons of excess space they've got access to. As much as I think 3 kids/family coasters is a very bad call for that location, an RMC's still rather wishful, no matter the size. -
The New Atlantis - Construction Updates

Feel free to delete my previous post, as I cannot do so myself. Photo dump: Went on the 12th, got some photos of any construction updates. First thing's first, they've added footers on either side of the entrance pathway, and 'completed' some footers for Trident. Also, they've got white walls around various different paths (and Trident), which is assumedly for concrete pouring. As far as Leviathan goes, workmen were on a large crane, seemingly inspecting the joints. But, most notably, and I don't know how or why, but it seems very much to me like this is some form of clearance testing (just without the train, for whatever reason) Also, I forgot to mention in my original post (and I completely understand that this has near to zero credibility, nor does it necessarily mean anything, but) even staff at Sea World told me not to get any hopes up for an opening this year, despite the current 'set' date and the work that's being done. -

How far into planning was this 'first RMC'? I've heard about it being a thing, but I've only seen it being referred to mostly as a joke. Leviathan being the first ground-up woodie in Australia for a long time (and getting years of delay as a partial result), then going directly into more ambitious ground-up hybrid seems like a bit of a risk. -
