Stopped by movieworld yesterday. GL, SE, FSF and KT were all closed - only expected GL due to maintenance, not sure about KT. DCR had a short delayed opening and FOTWW opened around 10:30 with a 60 minute wait… Would hate to be paying for a day ticket when 5 out of 10 rides (excluding wb kids) are shut. I dont think hollywood stunt driver and roxy would make up for that lol.

I don’t really know if there’s a huge appeal for a tower climb. I suppose it’s not something that would need to run consistently and would be outside of park hours. Also is it really that appealing of an idea when you are inside a stuffy pole for 98% of the climb? (Correct me if there’s an alternate route). As with big brother, I don’t necessarily think that is a huge deal with the public either. Sure it’s exciting but is it worth a ‘massive’ announcement? Either way, I’m really enjoying DW’s marketing tactics here, very suspenseful. Let’s hope it’s worth the hype. 🤞

After seeing Danse Macabre at Efteling. I think the Dynamic Motion Stage by Intamin would be the perfect fit for MW. Infinitely themeable, mixes a ride with a show, and also is advertised to seat up to 100 or so riders. Im not sure on the footprint but I doubt it would take up too much space, a potential perfect fit to replace Doomsday and/or WB showcase?

I found this thumbnail image on Goldcoast bulletin when I searched for movieworld! Emerald city, the farm house and the wicked witches castle! This looks incredible, seems like the next level theming we were hoping for! I cannot read the report because I have to pay, if anyone is signed up read and share!

I agree the public would be disappointed. However, my thoughts are that the marketing team is much smarter than that. If it were to be just a kids themed area, it wouldn’t be something big, especially if themed to wizard of Oz. It would be something ‘magical’ or something ‘wicked.’ So to keep our spirits up, let’s think bigger than kids rides!
