ZZ, look at it from a different point of view as I now have to. About 3years ago I would have proberly agreed with you. Now, with two sons to take along, I am greatfull that the parks put these type of areas in. My elder son is almost 3, yet wants to ride all the things there. You try to have a great time in a park with nothing to stimulate there minds, just stuff for the bigger "kid". Yes we were all a bit ticked off about the Cyclone being a second hand ride, but it is still a new coaster for most of us. Just think of it this way. All the money they saved on Cyclone, can go to a bigger and better ride in the future, maybe even a B&M or somthing. You have to remember that the park has to catter for ALL AGE GROUPS. If they don't then they will loose to much buisness. It can't all be big.

OK Got some more rumors on the Matrix thing. The park has logged with the gold coast city council 3 submissions for major constructions to take place within the next 5 years as part of their long term plans. We would assume that 1 will be for the new outback show construction. One may have been for the new studios that have been built,( I have no idea when the forms were to have been submited). And the other could very well be for the proposed new coaster to be built at the park, (Matrix). Now there is still no ferm news from anywhere about this rumor but I am still looking for any proof of this ride. If anyone in the parks employ (Rabid) get anything firm, then please let us know. Personal, I'm hopeing that it will be a monster mulit looper. Anything with more than the five elerments that the LW now has would be fine.

have to agree on the hole report Richard although I did not see you there on Boxing Day and I was there almost all day. Did you happen to see the channel 9 tv crew there and the reporter that would not stop screaming on the coaster. Someone should have told her it was only a kiddie ride. Still for a kiddies coaster it was not to bad at all. I had a friends son to ride with me so I didn't feel to bad getting on it. HAHAHA

ZZTopless has raised a good point about what type of elerments we would like to see in a new coaster. For myself, a cobra roll, pretzel loop, a super G helix, corkscrew and some barroll rolls would suit me. Or maybe I need to get to Viper for a ride. Ok here is another point, where to put the coaster. We have had this chat before, but let's relive it anyway. I still say that with the area behind the old mavric show building and the building itself, that a coaster could fit in there nicly. This also leaves the room behind the fake buildings in the western area for a western themed woodie. Anyone else got thoughts? AND REMEMBER to cast your vote on the poll at the top of this page.

The latest news is that the park has the rights to the Matrix name and that they intend to use it over the next year. The two rumors at this time is that the Stunt show will be closed to make way for a new Matrix themed stunt show. The second one and this is one that I do like is that on the release of the third matrix movie, the park will announce a new coaster to be themed to the Matrix movie. This also ties in with the info I have reguarding a new B&M coaster to be built within australia over the next 3years. However this also could be the new big thing that wonderland has promissed us for the last year. I believe that the Hulk coaster in Florida is a B&M and ties in with the new marvel deal that the park has signed. Any thoughs?

Will check out any new construction happening at the park this weekend. Hope to have some pics if anything to report.

That will be very close to the sound stages. I guess that there will not be a lot of noise coming from the show that will interfere with production at the stages. Still if it is going between the two parks, then the long term idea of combining both parks is not out of the question. A gold Coast SuperPark....something to think of.

Tried to do Scooby do with a lift hill and it through out the whole ride track... thinking that i might try it using another type of coaster style

Looks good as far as the track goes. Any sign of the trains yet? Can't wait for next sunday to chack it all out. Nice pics richo.

Use the building as the station and pre-show and build a clone of the Jokers Jink with the track being behind Scooby-Doo building. This way you still could theme it to the Western feel and still have room for a woodie on the other side of the walkway through the western theme buildings.

We could only guess as to what type of themeing will go into the ride, but this is an Aussie park that we are talking about. I am hopeing that Richard will be at the park again this weekend and will give us another great pic update.

ok for those of you who will be at the park on the 17th....the meeting spot will be near the front gates, at the bottom of the main stairs. Look for two rather big blokes with ozattractions caps on. Will be with a couple of kids also, ( mine). So let yourself be known. Any pictures of yourselfs will be a help to us so post them here also. Seeya all then. P.S. Rabid....will be going back to the park reg so that is not a problem./

Can you tell us any colour of the supports that you spotted on the truck. The colour will help us a bit.

Richo and I both went passed the park on the way to MW today and I have found what looks to be a lot of track. On the way home, Richo entred the park and found the same coloured track and some green surports near the thunderbolt. Give it two weeks and the whole track may even be in place. Only time will tell if it gets ready by X-Mas. But after watching the construction of the Cyclone I don't think that the park will have any trouble.

No wonder we could not find you there today. No ppl in the park at all today and it was a double walkon to a lot of the rides. Yehh no que waiting. Will try to organise another day but this time for DW. Will be late november I hope.
