What is the best use for the old maveric magic show stage. Remove the stage and build a new ride. Bring the stunt show into an indoors area and revamp the stunt show area. Leave your opions here.

Rabid, Will be there on Sunday for sure so will keep an eye out for you. Just look for the ozattractions baseball caps. Will be there from start to about mid afternoon so hope to catch you then.

As much as we would all like to see the ThunderBolt stay, I think that the park could do a nicer coaster with the land if the bolt was removed comlpetly. Just look at Joker Jinks in the states. A ride like that within view of the road would be pretty popular. But if the ride was a revamp, then I would hope to see what B&M could do with this challange. I know that they make great new coasters, but have they ever tried a revamp. I don't know of any. Either them or Arrow. But in the end it would be all good.

Wonderland Op. I don't question ppls rumors as I have had some of my own go north on me, but I see no hard evidence that the park would close it's doors. True the park is downsizing, but this could be because they believe that the park is just to large. Maybe by doing this now it allows the park the room to expand in bigger ways. The new ride that we have been told about could require the park to change the layout of the park. Or the long term plans for the park are to expand in a certain direction, so they are getting ready for that now. The new styles of coasters that are available today require a large area of land for their footprint, so in my opion, that park is just getting ready for something big. For someone who is ment to be "employed" by the park, I am wondering just how much of the truth you are listing to. It is ppl like you that we don't need working at the theme parks in Aust. The ppl who work at these parks are generally happy to be there and are pleased that they work in such a happy enviroment, around happy holiday makers. They don't need to go to the park and find the staff to be, and to quote yourself, "Feed Up". The only job that I had, where I felt like that, I quit as soon as I started to feel that way. As Richard will state, I am normal a quite person, but I can not stand someone who cannot back up their clams. By the way, you mentioned a buzzbar and a solenoid in the one sentance. So correct me if I'm wrong here Richo, but to my now how, the two should never be near each other in a million years. Soleniods are normally run of a controll circuit that is reduced to 24volts as all a soleniod is (in general) is a switch. A buzzbar is a large peice of copper bar or wire that is used to carry the power from the load side of the main switch to the line side of the other circuit protection devices. I have never heard of a buzzbar being connected to a soleniod. Not in my 10years as an electrical engineer anyway.

Ok. After a little hunting around I may have found an answer to this question but it is one that you will not like. It seems that the main supports in the new Lang Park construction are almost the same as a coaster support and I have been informed that 3 of the main sections were returned to the manufacture for mods to be performed. Now if you go past lang Park and see the frames for the roofing you will see large round white shaped beems that could be mistaken as coaster supports. While I have yet to go to any parks myself, the list and time frame that Joz mentioned is about the same for myself. The only diff is that I will start on the west coast with Six Flags Magic Mountian, Knotts Berry Farm etc and will then jet over to see Lance from Screamscape and do the whole Orlando thing with Lance as a guide. Still in planning but am trying to get this done with more ppl than just my family.

From what you have said about the stage of construction Richo, I would guess that we should start to see some track, surports, or even a station start to form soon. I am hoping to get to the park within the next month as I was told by the park that the ticket prices are going up again around the begining of December and I want a max action pass before that happens. So I am hopeing to get a glance of the construction before it's to late. Will check out the car park next Sunday on the way to Movie World and see if there is anything there.

The ppl at Movie World are always open to a chat reguarding the rumors about the park, but finding the same story twice from two different employies is the hard part. I had a very good source in the attractions manenger of the park, but he has now left the park. So now when we hear a rumor about the park, we can see what rabid has heard/been told and see if the rumor is true.

You lucky buger Rabid. At last we now have someone on the inside...hahahahahahah. A good source in the park hardest to get a source from. Will see you there if you are or arn't working. Just look for two rather large chaps with the ozattractions hats on.

If you send a pm to Joz, he might be able to tell you if it was the old coaster from Sea World or not. I think that it had white suports. I will try to contact some of the ppl I know in Sydney and see what they can dig up.

Planning to visit the park on Sunday the 20th of October so if anyone wants to "meet up" at the park then let me know and I will look for you there. Also plan to make a quick stop at DW on the way to look for track peices. Anyway, let me know if you are keen.

I can not agree with everything said here more. The whole layout of the park is wrong for expansion and for crowd control. With DW, the layout allows you to walk right around the park, thus allowing for you to do a number of things. Number one is that if the path goes aroung the entire park, then the customer stays in the park for longer. 2 The customer is more likly to buy a food or clothing item if in the park for a longer time. 3 It gives the customer the feel that there is more to do within the park, due to the walk time. and it also gives the parks rides max exposure to the customer to incress the rides apeal. And these ideas are just of the top of my head, so lets face the fact that until the park improves it's layout, it will not be as apealling to the customer as the other parks. But this is just my opion.

The type of coaster was confirmed to me by the park to be the same as the one going into Paramount Carowinds this/next year. They were quite supprised at the fact that I/we knew about that coaster and that this one is the same. The name of the coaster and type is to be known with the October/November Time frame, as soon as the park has all the advert stuff ready. Will be trying to get down to the park on the way to MW on Sunday the 20th of October. If anyone wants to meet up then check the MW Thread for more info. :arrow:
