  1. The name of the spinning coaster that is owned by TPA shows, and FJF Amusements, has 2 names: Crazy Coaster - used here in Melbourne, and Adelaide Crazy Mouse - used in Sydney and at the Ekka Im not too sure why they change the coaster, and mouse for some shows, but they have the letters and they interchange. And yes, I must admit, it doesnt spin as much as it should, nor as fast as they do like in Germany, but none the less, its still pretty fun chris
  2. Yeah its similar, Experience is much nicer looking, but both dont really do anything looks wise for me
  3. Yes...... we don't have any other ride here called Hard Rock, and it is NEW for Sydney because it debuted at the Adelaide Show in 04
  4. The 2005 Easter Show website says that 4 new rides will be debuting. Hard Rock Techno Jump Twin Flip...... but what could the 4th ride be??
  5. twin flip.......hmmmm Great news, sounds exciting! love TPA, they are great ops
  6. got a point there about the post, but still I couldnt care less what you think haha
  7. yes but we all know that neb has a pole up his @ss, so why does it even suprise any of you?
  8. First of all Gazza, that model belongs to Watkins, and is currently missing the E on the sign (ZIPPR) Also Neb, it would be interesting if you actually knew who built the models that are in Australia. Anyways if you would like me to explain the speed better, here you go: The ride doesnt look as fast as it does when you are riding it. When travelling along the boom, the cars tend to rock back and forth, but you are able to make the car flip by trying to rock it. When the frames move over the two wheels at the end of the ride, you are suddenly thrust in the same direction. This makes for a very exciting, fast movement, either flipping or just flying over. I know that a few times when we passed over the wheels, we either flipped upside down, or flipped really fast. Also theres a point when the ride is moving backwards where you flip over more than 5 times, our car flipped around 10, and that was completly awesome! It is also really cool, passing the wheels near the bottom, as you swoop down and feel as if you could hit the ground! Completly worth every cent! chris
  9. lol yep, well actually, before when we were waiting in line I was more nervous, and Lol to make it worse, me and my mate were loaded last, so as soon as we were locked in, we took off, and then the chaos begun! you will absolutely LOVE IT!
  10. did you read my post.......obviously not! Anyways I can't really see how you can sick, but it just might be because I have a strong stomach, but the flipping is totally awesome! the speed is also fantastic. Don't go on it, if you are scared of flipping really fast, and going upside down, because there is no way you can prevent it from flipping! TRY HARDER! and make it go absolutely WILD! I really enjoyed it, and I can't wait to get on it again! chris p.s Wittingslows Zipper wasn't at rye, it was Shorts, but it may seem that Wittingslow could have a share in the ride, because the Taipan was there, and everyone, even on Zipper had Wittingslow uniforms
  11. 3, Rainbow 1, Zipper 2, Hard Rock 3, Enterprise 4, Breakdance 5
  12. Best ride ever! 11/10 Goes to no.2 on my fav ride list The flipping over the wheels is totally insane YAY! cant wait to ride more on tuesday!
  13. There is rumor that a chance inverter is on its way down under this year, so hopefully we can see it at some of the major shows, probably not Easter Show though.
  14. I don't really see all this hoopla with Ranger, but hey, im a fan of it, so no bashing from me
  15. Yep, the Hangover is just a converted A.R.M Skymaster. The seating is not normally sold for the double version, but can be seen on their one arm equivalent. You probs won't catch it with that yellow paint job, its now sportin a nice white, green and black paint job that was applied before ekka in 2004 chris
  16. Oh get over it, the Zipper is a true classic!, and Australia has one of the best records with Zipper safety! more accidents in the U.S than a minor incident with a bolt here! and NOTHING, has ever happened to Wittingslows, so im cool! Bring on tuesday night! WOOHOO
  17. Great review Alex. Who did you work for. Anyways, thats a great review of how the ride goes. Ill be trying it out on tuesday or wednesday night. Im totally sht scared! and Wittingslows Zipper is said to be one of the fastest Zippers in Australia! The guys there really know how to give a good ride, and they like to get their first riders pumped by flipping their cage a few times after loading! In a way I can't wait, because its a ride that I admire and really respect! I don't get sick on rides, just the occasional dizzy or quesy if I go for too long, or really quick like I went from Cliffhanger to Wave Swinger, and that wasn't fun HAHAHA. So Clairey, most likely on Saturday, if im back from my beach house, ill post a review, and hopefully ill come on here saying how much I love it, and that I rode it like 5 times haha Chris
  18. Yeah Jobe, Crazy Mouse is very very quiet, you really only hear the hissing of the breaks at the end of the ride.....Much quieter than Rangers 4 powerful hydrolic drives. Hard Rock is also a silent wonder, that is amazing to watch also!
  19. Well I was just saying, rides like Rainbow aren't fun when they are shakey, it just makes for an annoying ride, and I have said it time and time again, of course it is not classified as a THRILLING ride, even if it was released 2 years ago say, it wouldnt be thrilling, its just a good family ride, that A.R.Ms Ali Baba/1001 Nights fails to meet the standards of. I find Hard Rock more thrilling and exciting, and I find Rainbow, a fun, relaxing ride, where you can go on to get "pumped" for the thrillers. Zipper is highly based on scare factor, and I can't wait to ride it this tuesday!, 60% of me is sh!t scared, and the other 40% is totally pumped and excited to ride it!
  20. Yes, but since Sydney doesnt get the ALI BABA anymore, you can really tell the different between the two, its better on rainbow, have a nice hydrolically smooth ride, with good air time points, rather than a shakey machine, that gives no airtime, and at full speed shakes at the top. The zipper is rated soo much higher because of its reputation, it was a ride that changed the industry, and since its debut in the 60's still a pleaser, ill decide next week, if its uncomfortable! Yes, but Chaos isnt exactly like it, only the rotating cars are similar, but Zipper has proved more successful than chaos
  21. Neb, the crazy mouse isnt loud.......wtf Tpa do a christmas carnival I think, or FJF take it over xmas.... not to sure
  22. No dude, belive me, wittingslow used to give awesome ride, of course it goes side to side, but wittingslow would do good things, stopping it at the top, bringing it up and over with the first go. Also Joz, O'Neill Shows, bought Rainbow from Wittingslow, but it is rumored at the moment, that a brissie showman has purchased one from the UK, and is set to arrive in qld on the 21st for major refurb. Don't ask me why O'Neills dont travel it, because its a real shame to know that it sits there for most of the year, and gets used for the easter show, and maybe a christmas carnival. Im really not happy, so I hope this new rainbow is Indeed coming to oz!, but its just like Zipper, why do we have soo many, good to have, but 5 is like enough!
  23. First of all, yes steve that is all my footage. The ride pretty much varies in excitement by the way it runs. If its run fast, and creative, then it gives a good ride. I did notice the O'Neills operator not having too much fun with it, just the basic side to side over the top motions, none the less for me I give it a 9 or 10, because its just a fun ride, its massive, impressive and unbeatable smoothness, which is typical Huss. The ride does have the simple lap bars, which is great. You really notice the difference with Ali Baba, because you get no air time what so ever on it. Still a classic, and im glad it's in Australia, with another model on its way down under shortly. Chris
  24. fair enough, and yeah the Showgirl tour should be good, Fever was great!
