Another great pic from @Theme Park Girl And for reference, here is a photo of The Claw from many years ago. You can see that the roof at the front right is still the same as gives an indication of how insanely big King Claw actually is!

This post from July 19, 2004, shows that supports were only being installed on The Claw in mid-July. The ride opened September 18, 2004. Dreamworld is definitely aiming for a September holiday opening.

Claw came together similarly fast. When you think about it - it's four supports, the motor assembly and the swing arm\gondola. It kinda has to go up quick because each side of the supports relies on the other side to hold each other (which is why there are so many cranes holding everything as it goes up) Once it's up though you can expect to see visible progress slow a bit as the finer details are taken care of. Honestly though - if we keep getting good weather, we could see testing by September... fingers crossed for an earlier than boxing day open!
