Your Favourite / Most Visited Park - Have your say!
scott replied to Adam's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Dreamworld to me has the most atmosphere and although it has some capacity issues it has thrilling rides and plenty of them.(well for an Australian park anyway)Seaworld is a bit on the slow side for me.It's a nice park with some good rides and high capacity but I still prefer Dreamworld. As for Movieworld,I've always had much difficulty in defining if Dreamworld is better or Movie World.Movieworld has good capacity, nice staff and excellent theming, with some good exciting rides, but DW holds out on top. -
Upgrading the comps won't do anything as Rich just said.DW simply needs to speed up the winch and how long it takes to attach to the gondala.
-
Alright she probably is going to scream on The Claw but as Bussy put it that doesn't matter.
-
I've been wondering the same thing myself. All I know is that it's not a coaster.Things such as top spins or enterprises are flats, but what else falls into the flat ride catagory?
-
The Thunderbolt station?Ok...I guess there still trying to make use of the area.
-
So what? Quit complaining,at least we get some nice footage at DW.
-
Hmmm,sounds good.
-
Sorry. I remeber now.
-
Just add a couple more operators, speed up the winch, and reduce the wait at the top.Having a drop straight away would be good, and would take riders completley by surprise.
-
Nat,can you explain a bit more about this ride? I have no idea what it is really.
-
So were getting Dugongs.Hmmm,I would have prefered Penguins but this should prove to be good.
-
Looks alright,I'm getting one for sure.

What is Little Wonderland? Is it a section of the park? -
I meant maybe they might tear it down because of age...that's what they did with Thunderbolt right?Or was that just because the roughness of the ride? I agree Goldrush is one of the best themed areas at DW,along with Ocean Parade.

I saw an add for the Great Outdoors showing The Claw and Giant Drop. They said they would showcase australias latest attractions, even though there have only been three new attrations. It's on at 7:30 Monday on channel 7 for those that didn't know

I don't really think of MW as a park for flats, just good coasters and some good shows.Batman is there only real flat isn't it?
-
Damn it! Too late.

Four days ago I placed a hold for a book called white knuckle ride at Bracken Ridge Libary.I got it yeterday and at the moment I'm halfway through reding it.It gives a detail into how it all started, how different companies emerged ect, ect.I finally learned what B&M stands for,as well as a few other things. It also mentions Lethal Weapon being one of Vekomas first inverted coasters.
-
No,it's no different it's just had it's first lift hill modified.
-
This sounds promising. Can people give me some ideas on what they think would be a good flat for MW? I can't really think of any.
-
It's good to see Luna Park do something like this and as mentioned above it's a pitty our major parks don't wanna do this, then again they don't really need to-attractions like the Claw, and Shark Bay mean they are making enough money as it is.
-
Don't know how long it is but it's a short one...yeah.I think it's about 17 years old now isn't it?When is DW planning on getting rid of it,does anyone know?
-
Kiss the ground!I guess it would be pretty cool to be an op.
-
Actually, having the ride statistics is a good idea.
