  1. Yeah,I don't work,but It's still a load of cash.Even the pylon climb cost 9$ for me
  2. Shut Up,Daniel.170$ is still too much in my opinion.Who wants me to set up a poll??

  5. It may iconic of Aus,but It is also iconic of Sydney in that it cost the skin off your arse!.Come off it,people who have come halfway around the world to see this great city find that they have to pay up to 170$to climb to the top of the a bridge, which isn't even the highest point of the city.
  6. Dreamworld's getting a Claw?U mean like the one at the Ekka?Or is that just the name of the Gyro Swing?I sure hope so,because If Dreamworld got the same type as the one that comes to the Show then that will completely wreck DW originality!!! DW has a Reverse Freefall, one of only two in the world. It has the only Rapids ride in Australia. It has a Vekoma Topspin that can perform angular rotations, only two of the sort in the world. It has the worlds tallest Giant Drop.It used to have the Australia's fastest double looper. And there's still more. And now there getting some crappy carnival ride!!!!!!!!I've been on the claw at the Ekka,It's a tacky little ride, and the only way I'm going to be happy with this decision is if the ride has lots of theming, changes it's name, and doesn't look like a crappy little carnival ride. Oh,hang on,you WERE talking about Gyroswing, weren't you.It just happens to have the same name right? I will be quiet now
  7. Hi All, I just came back from 4 days in Sydney! Like Seaworld,It was my first time, and was just one of the adventures were taking my French cousin these holidays. We flew on Virgin to get down there, couldn't stand the prospect of a day in the car  Sydney is great,we did all the things a good tourist does, checked out the Opera House, went to Centre Point Tower, went swimming(not at Bondi)and went for a leisurely stroll at 9:00 too look at the city at night. But being a tourist is tiring,so,we went to Luna Park. Luna Park is a great looking place, and It really leaves you feeling festive, what with the loud music and smiling face of the Luna guy. We didn't have long,so I ended up going on 4 rides(two one day,two the next)and they were the Wild Mouse,Ranger,Tumble Bug and UFO. Not much to say about Wild Mouse,It's what you would expect. The Ranger was good in that it doesn't starts off by rocking slowly back and forth, gradually getting higher, but instead it simply tips you upside down, three times backwards and three times forwards,a nice little surprise compared to the one I went on In Brisbane three times. Tumble Bug could have gone higher, and a bit faster, but sometimes rides are more enjoyable when there slower. As for U.F.O,it was great, but I thank them for not making it too fast, and not too long, as It's a pretty intense ride. All in all,Sydney was great, and so is Luna Park. The only downside of course was finding out that it costs 150$ to do the climb to the top of the bridge. For those who don't live or haven't been to Sydney, make sure you check out Luna Park at night,it's really a great sight.
  8. Zero-G......Isn't there one on Lethal Wepon?
  9. Do you know what the dominator does, exaxctly?
  10. Well, yesterday my family and I,as well as my french cousin staying over here(this was partly the reason we went to Seaworld)headed off to the coast. Upon arrival, with the background of a cloudless winter day,Seaworlds park looked really great.I was obviously anxious to try out the rides, but my parents didn't function that way,so instead we went Dolphin Cove. The Dolphin show was pretty good,(some of the things those dolphins can do  )but in the distance I could see CorkScrew mounting it's hill over and over again Mum had promised that we could go on the rides after that,so instead we went to polar bear shores. It was interesting how Seaworld managed to simulate the climate of the Polar Bears so well, but I'm sure the Polar Bears would have adapted to the starnge climate to some extent anyway. And,yes, there were only three bears in the enclosure After that it was shark bay,and that was good. Some of those Tiger sharks are just monsters, and the rays there are enormous, more like beach umbrellas. The underwater viewing was good,it didn't resemble Underwater world's too much. Then my parents decided to let me live and we went to Vikings revenge. This ride is by far my favourite flume on the Coast.Despite the fact that Movieworld's has a lot more theming,I never liked old western settings much, and Seaworld's is a bit more of a surprise. The start of the ride(on the way into the volcano)is a bit like a rapides ride really, and It travelles pretty fast along that section.I think that's what I liked most about the ride. My sister told the rest of us that Bermuda Triangle wasn't very good,so we skipped it for the time being. After that was CorkScrew, and seeing as the ride holds 28 people,we didn't have long to wait.As I watched the train come up again,(not us)It astounded me how long it took for the operators to get it fully into the station.Anyhoo, after not too long it was our turn to board, and so we hoped on for the ride.It goes surprisingly fast at the start, but then it helps you get ready for the rest of the ride After the short but steep climb,we rounded the corner,(at a crazy angle, I might add)we made our descent into the first loop, and I've gotta say I just love that thing. We then turned and faced the actual corkscrew.I have been on a Vertical Loop,a 360 degree Loop,a Zero-g,an Inline Twist and a double Looper. But the corkscrew is by far the wierdest of them all. It's such a cool experience to be travelling forward, but at the same time diagonally, all the time upside down, and the headchopper at the end is great. We then went on Pirate Ship, which is okay, but what you would expect really. To get the most out of it,I suggest closing your eyes and putting your hands up at the highest swing. A home made lunch was next(My mum was weary of park prices),followed by me going to the water park. Since I was the only one to have brought my swimming gear,I was alone in swimming, but considering the cold,I would have been anyway.I started with the smaller slides first(cold, cold!)and then went to the larger(much larger)tower.I tryed the speed slide first;dam that is fast! The first time I opened my eyes on the slide(which you don't do often because of water spray)i relised just how fast I was going.I'd been taboggans three times in other parks already,so I wasn't scared of that, and ended up going on it four times. It was another eight goes on the Speed slide before I worked up the courage to go on Freefall(with a little pursuasion from the operator). This is SH*T scary slide the first time.So there I was pulling myself out onto the slide, rocketing down it at 90KMH,from a hieght of four stories. The splash down meant a pained back at the end of the day,but It was worth it. My total water park count ended up as 22,so I spent quite a while there, obviously. We then went on Vikings Revenge again, and then Bermuda Triangle. It's an okay ride, full of surprises and crappy special effects, and we enjoyed it. Then it was a look at the pengiuns before going home. And,on the way back, past Movieworld,I saw the collapsed sound stage, geese,It was a mess! 11. Yeah,I bet that's it,Scream.:)I'm going with Gazza and hoping that Wonderland's stil going to be there in a couple of months time.
  12. I didn't even bother going to Musical Revue,It just doesn't appeal. As for star parade,I think that It's pretty good, but then If you don't want to watch it then getting from one side of the park to the other can get difficult because it blocks everything up so much. The area for Musical Revue is a bit out of place,It just makes things more confusing at the front of the park.
  13. OK,I've just watched all of those videos on the site video list, there pretty good. Can aybody with a Dreamworld,or Wet 'n' Wild film please post it.There getting better and better every video I watch. (Yes,I am aware of Flea's)
  14. Jaggie,I sure dam hope your right.I wanna go to that park, and only your conclusion makes that possibble. Depends on thier financial position obviously, what's it like?
  15. No,I probably don't get what your saying, but Movieworld isn't crap without some backlot tour. More to the point, what's a backlot tour?
  16. If you could design,name,ect.......your own coaster, what would it be? While I doubt I spelt it right, mine would be called Apocylypse. It would have black-red track because I think colours like yellow and blue look tacky as track colour.I'd make it just a couple of meteres higher than TTD,not just to piss the Americans off,but also because it's probably the most the human body can endure. It would reach 190-200KMH and would be themed with comets, cyclones, floods, and twisters. The launch pod would have rows of 4, with 5 rows, and a disant speaker would be speaking about the damage caused by all the disasters and how millions have died. The rider is supposedly part of a select group to travel to the moon research station and save humanity.5,4,3,2,1,BOOM!A jet of fire spews from the back of the pod,and it races into the daylight. All along it had been in a large boarding station the size of a classroom, with an observation behind some glass nearby. The operators have a small booth next to the observation deck.Meanwhile a huge section of the wall has simply slid into the ground. It travels up the hill, plumets back down, and slows down eventually. It stops for five seconds, and, just as the riders start to recover it goes back. I think It's a pretty good idea, but more importantly riding it would be cool.
  17. A smack bang rip-off!?I'm sure Rabid wouldn't agree with that. There are 3 shows there, and with a couple more rides Warner Bros would be perfect IMO.If you want to count the star parade that's 4 shows, and as far as I'm concerned, that's enough. If a park makes you not want to leave it at closing time, then It's a good park. Anyway, were, getting a bit off track now,so back to the topic.
  18. Seeing as I'm probably the youngest person on the forum,I have a low count of only 11.Or around that number, anyway.
  19. Exactly how long do you guy's plan on staying of topic?!
  20. Pity about your wife,Mac,and Rich's right. Although I can't exactly remember back that far ,Warner should have more stuff to do apart from rides, but it does need those rides.I personaly prefer the full payment. The only time I've used otherwise was at my school fate, but they usually have about 2-3 good rides so I guess my experience does count. $14 bucks?Tough break Rich, that's a heck of a rip.Aussie world is curently $6,wich is okay, but it actually has good rides, and It's annoying when your out of change and there are still lot's of good ride to check out. They shoul offer armbands too.
  21. Thank's guys,I do have the smallest memory of Phantom Manor, and yeah,I do remember that tomb. You can Imagine how scared I was seeing how old I was!
  22. Whow,I didn't think the Americans would look as far as something as small as Coolangatta.I really didn't think about how the rest of the world see's us,but obviously were not insignificant. Some of tose slide look great, some look plain wacky.
  23. Anybody who's been please tell what It's like.I have french relatives there and I'm probably going to go soon. It's been a while since we last went(about 5 years, and since I'm only twelve I was too young to remember much)cause every time we go(which is every year) at New Years we have a choice between Snowboarding and Disney, and I've become a pretty good boarder. What ride is best, best atrraction...I vaguely remeber the Star Wars simulator, but I would like to know more.
  24. Island of Adventure-always wanted to go there.Hopefully I will someday soon.
