  1. I would think the finished product would look a little like Bermuda triangle, who knows they might be connecting the two, that would result in head choppers and tunnel effects. I'm also looking out for mist like on superman escape when you come out of the launch.
  2. I was talking to a friend of mine tonight who had been on that ride, he said it was great.
  3. But MW can save rides with theming, without theming scooby doo would just be another wild mouse.
  4. Well, at the current strength of the Australian dollar, something like sheikra wouldn't be happening until we got back to like 75 cents. But yeah if they were to fabricate track here in Australia that would reduce the cost. However we haven't had a B&M, so we can't really know. 1.00 ausd=62.5 Us cents I still think something like Oblivion above ground would be a worthwhile ride.
  5. ^^ Movieworld can't afford the tallest, or the fastest dive machine in the world, the best we could hope for in that department is something like oblivion. Something like Sheikra looks okay on the website, but that's in American dollars, and a few years ago, factor in inflation and we'd be looking at something closer to 20 mil than what Cadboy said, also you need to factor in the weak aussie dollar, this is a price which MW can't afford for its next coaster. But I would by no means be disappointed if I saw something like Oblivion go up. After all, it would still be Oz's first B&M, and MW's fastest coaster. Here is Oblivion for those who don't know-
  6. ^^ I looked at that a while ago, the theming is amazing! For theming it's right up there with nemesis and Black mamba. Notice all of these are B&Ms, which proves they are perfect for MW's theming standards. (just look at Lethal weapon or scooby doo)
  7. I think a coaster like that could be better themed to something like Batman. Something which may be in movieworld's price range is this.
  8. Here was my comment- I personally have no problem with the V8 simulator itself. I have more a problem with that it is going in Dreamworld, at a time when better attractions are needed. It is also (I believe), being placed in the wrong area. Put it next to Mick Doohan, with the other motoring merchandise. One last thing, I implore anyone who works at dreamworld to go to this site and see what you could be building- http://www.bolliger-mabillard.com I can almost guarantee that business will improve if Dreamworld were to add one of these.
  9. Okay I'm going to resurrect the dead yet again, if Movieworld was going to look at a floorless coaster, the best we could hope for is something of this calibre, which is one of the few in MW price range.
  10. I agree in some ways with these people, it sounds pretty cool, but it's not something that should be put into Dreamworld, as an up charge attraction.
  11. I've had some problems with WWW too. My mum had bought a cup of coffee and was sipping it while reading a book harmlessly at the entrance. When one of the staff come up and says "You can't sit here if you haven't bought any food!" My mum told her that she had bought the coffee, and there were about a million free seats there. I was once in the nickelodeon pipeline with my friend spraying people with water. People come on the ride to get wet, right? Obviously not cause I spray this man accidentally, the staff were watching, he then come up and hit me into one of the bars and says "oh that was an accident". The staff watched the whole thing.
  12. Dreamworld isn't the park I visited as a kid. It's the EKKA (RNA show in Queensland) all year round. One thing's for sure you won't find me touching Dreamworld with a ten foot pole any time soon.
  13. Alexb, I'm not going to bother trying to quote that behemoth, but I am going to say that I agree completely. However, I don't think Nick central was a bad idea. Dreamworld has to learn that two themed areas(nick central, wiggles world) is just not good enough in a park that's supposed to have 8. But I'm sick of just complaining about it! It really isn't going to get us anywhere. Dreamworld isn't going to change it's mind based on the opinion of the users of one website. I think it's great that we're getting PR people giving us news, but I would much prefer to here some happy news. Also just on what Ally said about diversifying attractions, I hardly count MDMC as a coaster even, and the fact is reptar is better than MDMC! There aren't enough coasters to say that you're park has enough for the time being.
  14. It's supposed to be going between the food store and flow rider. And why would they try to publicise something that's so minor? There's just no point.
  15. Okay, we've had enough criticism already. Now what I'm interested to know is how they're going to fit this in, I've seen where this is going. but how much space is it going to take up? I think it's always good when parks add a new attraction, but why should we have to pay extra for it? I was just interested as to why. And one more question, why does DW need a blog for it? It didn't have a blog for the mummy exhibition. Which was probably better. I'm not trying to completely discount this thing of all merit, I just would like to know the answers to these questions. That way I may be able to piece together why DW is getting this attraction.
  16. I think it needs be painted blue and yellow, because it's meant to be in Ocean parade, the claw needs colours of the ocean.
  17. Well it was originally supposed to be last month, but obviously not, I would say January.
  18. ^^ Sorry, someone put the idea out earlier in the thread, just quashing it.
  19. Here are some pictures, courtesy of Theme Park Review, this confirms that it will not have a steel support structure-
  20. I personally love TOT, Giant drop and the claw, but what else is there that's worth going on? Dreamworld needs a coaster, however all these cheap attractions could mean they're saving up for something big, who knows?
  21. Would you be able to give us some inkling as to why? Personally when I go to Dreamworld, I never use the pay per use attractions, particularly the rock climbing wall. I mean would it be that hard to include that in admission? Dreamworld's already increased admission to $69, shouldn't that be able to cover some of these attractions?
  22. Let's face it, if this event is going to be aimed at families then dreamworld are going to make more money due to the larger target audience.
  23. Problem with v8s is that all the cars are the same. Given this does mean the race's results are more dependent on the driver.
  24. It still looks like an awesome park! Here's a slightly different ad
