  1. Have you seen the food at Star's Cafe?! I haven't ate there since it was the "Studio Patisserie" and for 14 dollars you can get a HUGE Cobb Loaf that is piled on with salads and potato wedges. I mean these meals are so huge that when carrying them out I sometimes have difficulty finding room for the cutlery. I went into the park today as a guest and ordered a Butter Chicken Cobb and I had difficulty finishing it. The meal tasted great and I felt like I had really got value for my money. The food is a few dollars more than somewhere like Wild West Burgers or Gotham City but I'd rather pay the extra few dollars and get a great meal.
  2. Just lets hope you NEVER see me doing my "Monkey" Trick on Johnny's Zipper In the middle of the cycle when it's going slow I can flip myself UPSIDE DOWN with my head on the floor and feet in the air for the remaining half of the ride and OMG... it's intense that way. And Tony... what a way to torture someone I still owe you a "Virgin" Zipper ride, as my first atempt didn't go as planned
  3. Most likely Davis's one... allthough it may have been Johnny's but I doubt it. Heck it could have even been Shorts as Ekka was just a few weeks before the GCS.
  4. Tony, I have only rode Peter Shorts and Johnny Castles Zipper. Peter Short's Zipper is actually a Chance Model with heavier cars (Less Flipping... amazingly) Whereas Johnny's is a Ferrari Model (Along with Davis's) I Find that Johnny's Zipper runs a better program than Shorts and is Abit more intense. From what I have been told the Davis Model has had quite a re-work from GCS 2006 (when you presumably would have rode it) Mainly attention to Artwork etc. Several reports show that this unit is ran VERY well now that Dean Davis knows how to run it better. On another note, the Mean Mother Zipper is currently going through a major overhaul and it should be interesting to see what it rides like when it's back in Brisbane.
  5. Dylan, that Zipper you are talking about would belong to Peter Short. That is the one that does most of the Capital Shows. You have Johnny Castle's "Mean Mother" Zipper (Ex Watkins, Ex Luna Park) That does QLD / NSW. Along with that you have Zacchini's Zipper that does VIC / Tas Shows. As well as Davis's Zipper which does QLD, NSW and VIC. This is the Ex Wittingslow Unit. JOHNY CASTLE'S ZIPPER DAVIS'S (EX WITTINGSLOW ZIPPER) PETER SHORTS ZIPPER
  6. Ash, if Disney brought Dreamworld they would probably just look at it and freak. Then they'll bring in the Bulldozers and start fresh
  7. Quiet you I have the flu... my brain is like mush right now.
  8. Yeh... the BeetleJuice character in the Gremlin's Ride was a robot...
  9. Do you mean the Beetlejuice character that used to be in the Gremlins ride, or the roving one? I remember they used to have Seymour from Little Shop of Horrors walking around Movie World, with a mechanical version of Audrey II.
  10. It was only a 5 min wait with 2 trains being loaded. And OMG the rain hurts alot!
  11. They do too... it was playing today at Stars (talk about appropriate for the weather) Also, Superman Escape was running full loads IN THE RAIN today... and It has for a while now.
  12. I don't think they do anymore, During the parades and shows the music on Main Street matches that.
  13. Ah yes, they do play the Indiana Jone's theme song too. I remember back when the only music they played was instrumental songs. Not the songs we hear now.
  14. MAIN STREET: Theres No business Like Show Business Men In Black Rocky Theme Boogie Wonderland Star Wars Theme Star Wars "Cantina Band" Hooray for Hollywood Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead James Bond Theme Pink Panther Chicago - Overture / And All That Jazz believe Me, working in Stars Cafe, that music gets so annoying that you NEVER want to Hear it again!
  15. Hey... I havn't started working... YET I've only had orientation. And besides, I don't think i'm cooking... but i'm not 100% on it But because the way attendance has been booming at the parks in the last few years, maybe they are having extra toilets on site to prevent queuing. Because it will be one thing if peeps are complaining about long queues in peak season, but it would be even worse if they were complaining for half hour waits just to use the toilets! And to keep with the movie theming, they could even dress up the cleaners to look like Kenny!
  16. At Movie World? Hmmm... Wasn't there on Wednesday when I had orientation. I have no idea what they are doing there.
  17. Hmmm... well Gazza, maybe Richo is trying to tell us something with the Cyclone (woodie) images ending up in the Dreamworld gallery (we can only dream of getting a woodie) But I'm really looking forward to when Parkz is fully open
  18. That is not the case though, there is a traveling Trabant in Australia that runs alot faster. It's a pity that Dreamworld doesn't run the ride the way it could. But I think when it was next to the Wipeout (where Cyclone's sign used to be, it ran faster than where it is located now)
  19. Hmmm... but did it still run faster than what it does now? I think the old Enterprise (the replaced one) is currently in Canberra, as I remember seeing it behind Downunderland a few years back.
  20. Where did you get this information from? Just curious thats all. However if the Mine Ride does re-open, I can say I will be VERY happy
  21. If the Stingray ran like Chance Trabant's are MEANT to run, you will find that they are actually a very fast ride with rather high G Forces. Just look at this video here: That shows what the Stingray IS capable of if they beef it up. I mean... I know it's a kid's ride, but even then it's very slow for one of them. Anyone remember the "Roulette Wheel" that used to be where the Wipeout lives now? If anyone here has rode it could you tell us what the ride experience was like? I'm sure it's 10x Better than what it is now (as it's the same ride)
