  1. Information taken from coasterforce.com, re-written by Jack607 Check out these rides opening next year at various theme parks across the world: One of the most anticipated coasters of 2007 is Cedar Point's Maverick, an Intamin coaster with a 400ft long tunnel and 8 airtime hills - like someone quoted, it sounds like sex in roller coaster form! Down at Dollywood in USA, we'll see a very well themed Mine ride complete with a 90° drop. Complete with a 130ft drop, this will become the world's 4th B&M Dive Machine located in Busch Gardens in Europe. From the picture provided, it looks sort of like "Sheikra" with a paintjob, however I haven't heard any news of a second 90° drop. 0-83.9 mph in 3.5 seconds with not only an in-line twist, but a.... ok, I won't go with the lame joke (hehe) - but there's an unusual seating position - new revolution for Intamin launch coasters? Hmm... Some other coasters opening up are "Crush's Coaster" in DL Paris, a Vekoma boomerang which will be placed in Pleasureisland in the UK and to top it off, a new coaster for Blackpool Pleasure beach. The full list can be found here. Moderator Note: Please don't leech images stored on another site. 2. How exciting. Hm... do you think they'll do some special Dreamworld promotion during the holidays considering White Water World will probably be high on everyone's "to visit" list? I don't expect anything too major, maybe like a... I dno, discount when you buy online or something. I haven't really investigated..hehe.
  3. I have been on Nemesis :S In fact we queued for about an hour in the line where you got the seats that no-one sat in. Going into more detail, my brother like stepped to the side and some old hag went "Excuse you can wait your turn"...wtf? =D
  4. Rarely - it's mainly something to do with the breaks, controls, teains, track or the "technical" stuff that most people don't know about. But it COULD be theming: regardless we probably won't find out.
  5. I'm from Perth. I used to be a BIG coaster buff a few years ago... I'll explain more in the "introductions" forum since I haven't posted there yet. Will hook you up with a link soon. EDIT: Link - http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/in...?showtopic=2895
  6. It's called bumping - usually a case of wanting an increased post count! Hooray.
  7. Probably a marketing thing: "Omg, the blue train is here lets go ride!!" *after the ride* Mum my ears bleed... and Lethal Weapon lied to me
  8. Uh... are you trying to get praise or pushing dreamworld in the dirt? I'm just a tad confused..
  9. Maybe they have another train coming (or planning on re-vamping it) but only want to use the red train until that re-vamp happens, so both rides are equally as smooth.. I dno.
  10. Hahahah! A long time ago I saw pics of that, never checked out the vid but! Awesome stuff!
  11. Most people do exaggerate, and especially online it's hard to tell whether someone's telling the truth or not. To be honest, I can't see it being THAT bad. I'm sure it's not perfect, but not going on it purely for the fact that it's rough isn't a good excuse IMO. Just do it! It won't kill you
  12. Yeah but it's not as well known like Superman, Batman, etc. I think that's the problem, also there's the problem of what target audience they'd be looking to attract. I like the idea of a woody near the WWF area!
  13. I see... Yeah I would be extremely surprised if we got some huge B&M Coaster - but hey, that's what everyone in Perth expects them to get. I think they need to roll in another ripper flat ride, that's probably the only reason I'd re-visit Ad. World.
  14. Hm.. no offence but I wouldn't go searching around all day for pics of the wheel. I'm not saying it's a bad addition to the park (infact I think it fits in quite well), but yeah, just not something I would go searching around for. On another note, if anyone DOES find pics of the wheel (guh, with the ^^ I'm not suggesting searching for pics is a BAD thing either) then I shall look at them. If you had trouble de-coding all that, here's the easy version: I'm lazy so give me pics or I'll eat your children (and dinner).
  15. Awesome pics!! Cheers for that - the Green Room looks awesome! I love how close it is to the Cyclone 'swell.
  16. Guh! Why didn't I think of that. Also why WWW isn't advertising too (or at least that should be the reason). And yep, try ozcoaster.net
  17. Well where-ever it is, it won't be from these stupid events they hold.
  18. Yeah, and they're trying to divert our attention to the lack of a "new ride" but weekly events.
  19. I was sort of thinking Spin Doctor.. but I dno..!!
  20. It looks pretty good. I think it fits Seaworld's style and just broadens the rides (rather then stick to JUST family or JUST thrill rides). I would of prefered an inverted ferris wheel but... if I can remember correctly, they're going to be the "new craze."
  21. Not much, they scrapped the Toboggen for a "future ride" - but half of that hill area was taken up for the aqua racer, so I'm not sure. I'm trying to think of where they could put it.. hmm! Would need to be fairly compact - so yeah, a coaster would be ruled out.
  22. This might sound "nooby" - but what is WVTP? :S I'm sure I know what your talking about in expanded form... *dunce* Oh yeah... this looks awesome!! I will def. be going on this... if I have the guts. @Swanny - I think 2 or 3 weeks before the ride opens you'll start seeing some adds, but probably not before. It is x-mas season after all, and while I'm not a hot-shot marketing guru, I'm sort of thinking advertising Batwing (and WWW?) now won't be as effective considering people are looking at spending their money on Christmas prezzies and such. Hard to make sense of, but AFTER christmas you'll probably get a flock of ads. Probably... I'm probably way off.
  23. Over in Perth there's a small theme park called "Adventure World." I'm sure it's been posted around here somewhere.. anyway, onto my discussion topic. Does anyone think it's sort of going downhill? I mean, they seem to be raking in fairly tame rides, and the only monsters they have are the Rampage, Turbo Mountain and Power-surge. I haven't been in 2 years I think, which is a surprise for me considering I am an enthusiast. I reckon they should get another beast, even a log flume will do. But I want them to stop with the boring kids rids and waterslides and bring in the bacon. A roller coaster seems far-off, why not a Top Scan? Guh, anyone agree?
  24. I was thinking that initially, but some people do complain about Dreamworld queueing times so I just wanted to check.
