  1. Well i can tell you that the song the joker and his girls dance too is called Dragons by Caravan Palace
  2. Well when i received a show times guide yesterday half of the shows had been blacked out with a texture. The jukebox show and a few others they don't even have illuminate running. ITS CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS DAMM IT!!!!!!
  3. themeparkGC Regarding what you just mentioned i don't know exactly what any of the figures were but for a few days before i contemplated sussing out the parks on my day off. Early yesterday morning i decided why the heck not. So my day began with a trip to Sea World. I had to wait 4 sets of lights at the Sea World turn off on the Gold Coast HWY to turn, then began a usual 5min drive up Sea World drive which took myself and every other man and his dog 40mins. I left the park at 10:30 after having a quick look at the penguins and there was no room left in the car park and about one row left to fit cars in the grass overflow car park. Mind you traffic was still back all the way to the Gold Coast HWY. Next it was off to Dreamworld. Well what a head ache that was. Due to the number of people trying to get to Movie World and Wet"n"Wild the M1 was brought to a stand still both South Bound and North Bound. Once i finally arrived i had to drive past the park all the way around to the School located to the right hand side of the property to find no room ANYWHERE to park. It was then a half a KM walk to the parks entrance. As i got to the entrance 1000's of guests were told no more people are to enter White Water World and the area was taped off. So they all rushed to Dreamworlds front gates. Inside at the park-hop gate they were only letting the amount coming out to go into the water park. As i left i spoke to a friend of my who works in security and he said give it 10-15mins and Dreamworlds gates will be closed this was at 12:15. (Must say i really don't mind the roof at Dreamworld.) Then it was off to the village complex, M1 had started moving again but only to about 60km/h once i got into Movie World i spoke to a few of the lovely ladies at front gate and they all said that they heard all parks were closed off except Movie World which was around 1pm. Once in the crowds were crazy. I seen one fellow mobile vendor working on there own to keep up with the ever growing lines for food. Great effort on there behalf i must say Off to Wet"n"wild next where they were only letting in what was leaving the park, once in you couldn't even see the water in the wave pool, that many people it was nuts. This i would have to say was the most crowded looking park of all. Just to top it off i also heard that the Optus network went down for a bit in the Oxenford area midday. So as we can see during the busiest few days of the year when the first 4 of them are wash outs everyone holds off until that next perfect day which just happen to be yesterday. Good luck to those attending the festival out at the spit on Sunday i advise you leave very early. Park goers traffic mixed with festival goers traffic will not end up very well at all. (Excuse my terrible spelling and punctuation im in a rush )

  6. Well anyway, for those of you who didn't know movieworld has a brand new book out now. Which is priced at $5 and even includes a section on the studios next door.
  7. Dont worry about scanning the whole book just some of the pictures you reckon are worth a look at. I can see exactly where Alex is coming from, as WVTP can be touchy when it comes to this sort of stuff but i suppose what company wouldn't.
  8. Please do scan and upload them onto this discussion because i would love to see them. My oldest book dates back to scooby.
  9. I have to agree i really love the photo updates of our parks, very similar to westcoaster and mice chat ect but each month is good enough for our parks as we often go through some pretty quiet periods. Nice Work joz keepem coming
  10. The new out door theatre that is being built at the moment were farm yard friends was, is a 400seat theatre which will show The Australian Sheep Sheering Show which will open by Christmas.
  11. Well i have to say having gone Saturday night and the First night it was a great way to see how well things ran on the Saturday compared to the first night. This Saturday featured great operations in almost all areas, mazes no matter how long the queue was you kept on moving the whole time getting to the maze in no time. Even op's were pumping through the crowds, Superman was so great to see it fully staffed and in full swing. Same deal with Scooby. Lots of atmosphere performers, in which they did a exceptional job.
  12. Iv been in Freedy twice, the first time i tried to figure out the layout of the maze and what areas of the show stage have been used and i couldn't figure it out just confused the shit out of me, i have to say these mazes are absolutely fantastic great level of theatrical elements, and detail used. As for the actors really good job by all, Special shout out to the Freedys great job of making it seem like there is only one Freedy in the maze. The scare actors were well picked. As for the rain on Friday night as much as it pissed me off i loved the fact it created another level to the atmosphere, screw thunder and lightning effects. Theres nothing like a little drizzle all night to add to the eery feel. We have to hand it to the team who did such a great job with all the lighting and the feel in the park, especially with only about a week to do it all. I seen crew on friday night charging around like busy bees and it shows all the hard work and effort paid off. Each year the bar gets raised higher and higher, which in the long run gives us something to look forward to next year.
  13. Well as far as i was told nothing was to be said about the mazes locations. I personally thought someone would have put two and two together when one of our members mentioned the sound stage was closed and whats up rock had been moved to main street for the time being.
  14. Another member who either doesn't know what he or she is aloud to say or knows someone who doesn't know what he or she should say. I would recommend getting rid of the last 2 lines of your post happychap or im sure one of the sites mediators would be more than happy to do so.
  15. I was about to say exactly what DJrappa just said, Beat me to it! By the way WVTP is still looking for "SCARE ACTORS" for this years halloween event. If your able to work the nights of the event and you love to get your scare on by all means this would be a great opportunity. Due to a lack in people knowing about the opportunity applications are still being taken up untill the 23rd of this month. All you need to do is head to Myfuncareers.com.au and go from there (Actual site below). This is a good chance to be seen, get to be apart of a big event for our parks. https://www.onetest.com.au/wvtpcareers/
  16. I have to Disagree also i think that the que plays a main part in a attraction. I for one love big thunders line up and station that also goes for most disney attractions it like the build up in a movie to something big that is about to happen, in this case the ride itself.
  17. So i got a chance to have a peak on monday and i have to say IM LOVING THE THEMEING OF THE AREA really really looks great.
  18. No one had to say your an employee Randy there are a lot of people on these forums that work for the company that not a lot of people know they do. For that exact reason. Those who speak less about the parks operations and insider info and more about General theme park/ride discussion are those who do because they know where they stand when it comes to what should and shouldn't be said. When people like your selves say stuff that shouldn't be said even if it is only a RUMOUR or from "your source" this causes a lose of trust between us the theme park community and the companies in which we follow. Once that trust is lost we don't get to find out about these things anymore, No one gets invites to press events ect. The herks and perks won't be there anymore.
  19. Firstly i dont see what either of you are going on about (Randy/Jakeman).To start with the attraction is still in current operation as its planned to be in the near and distant future. As for Randy i don't know who is telling you these rumours or were your getting it from but yourself or your informant are violating WVTP Employment Contract/Agreement. I plus i few other members on this forum are aware you were or still are a front line employee of the company. You for one should realise what your saying on these forums shouldn't be said eg Happy Feat. Its not your place to open your trap when no official word has been made. Also i don't know about anyone else on these forums. But you flappin your gums all over the forum about stuff like new attractions or changes to our parks that have yet to be announced by the company formally. Really doesn't make you any more popular or well liked on the forum for doing so. Also i would just like to back up your question DJrappa, Jakeman who is your source?????
  20. Sorry gazza kinda did make it sound like I was gonna say stuff we didn't know, but my point was to gather all the good things together as it wasn't to long ago we were complain about every little thing village was doing. MickeyD I agree with you on all those 4 points. Well I wasn't going to say but seeing Randy already did in another thread the new movie for sea world is happy feet 4D which has been in the works for quiet a while now.
  21. Well at this current stage there is a lot of stuff happening in all the Warner Village parks. Some that are NEW offerings, Some well needed changes, A few updated things and well lets just say a lot is going to be happening between now and the end of next year. At this current time we have seen and heard of the following changes to our parks. WARNER BROS. MOVIE WORLD - Removal of Shrek 4D for a new movie to be announced During this month. -We also see Fright Nights getting a notch up in the scare department with the new addition of franchised names becoming a part of the event line up. -We also have this years Christmas Extravaganza to look forward to INFO to be released once Halloween has finished. SEA WORLD -Removal of shark attack as we welcome the King penguin, as well as the agile Gentoo penguin. -We see Sea World getting into the Halloween spirit this year with daytime offerings, Count Von Count from Sesame Street, a new live show. Fancy Dress Parade plus more (THIS IS NOT A NIGHT TIME EVENT) -Castaway Bay opens this September with 3 key attractions, Battle Boats ride with over 80 awesome water cannons, The Sky Fortress featuring five fun filled levels of rope bridges, tunnels and much more and the Sky Climb* will test bravery and balance on a thrilling course 12 metres above the ground. The sky climb will be a upcharged attraction. -Also the removal Of the recent film Ocean Rescue (Space filler for the new attraction) WET'N'WILD -We see the Addition of 4 Looping water slides, Aqua Loop along with a small drop chute slide. -Wetnwild also welcomes a 2 new pay for attractions first being the Endless wave similar to Flow Rider at Dreamworld, and The extreme Zip line. From the rather large list of things above all i can say is over the next 8 months that list is only going to get BIGGER and i emphasise bigger. Its great to see that WVTP are starting to get active again after having such a quiet start to the year. But things are only going up for the parks as we get ready for WBMW 20th birthday next year which shall be BIG also.
  22. For those of you who haven't heard here is each nights event line up for 2010. SUPERMAN ESCAPE, BATWING Spaceshot, LETHAL WEAPON and Wild West Falls will operate from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. All other attractions operate until 11:00pm. SAW Maze (MAZE Nightmare on Elm Street maze – ‘Freddy’s Nightmare Maze’ (MAZE) Psycho 3D maze (MAZE) Zombie Motor Cross Live Show (HSD venue) 7pm and 8:30pm (SHOW) The Offering (Main Street Plaza) 10pm (SHOW) Live Freak Show (Main Street under Big Screen) (SHOW) There also from what iv been told be scare ZONES. They will not be marked but there will be different areas in which entertainers will be able to scare you. (One main reason as to why Costumes and facial masks may not be worn this year) I have to say on a personal opinion note. Im very impressed with all the current changes, additions, new offerings, and new attractions that Village parks are bring to all of our parks across the board.
