This is just my thought but i don't think the hot rod from PASS will return as the show i going for more modern cars like as seen in both the training area for the show and driving behind the scenes of the park. From what iv heard and seen and I'm shore many other MW employees would have seen the Mitsubishi evo's and there is also a Holden commodore. They have been both seen driving in and out of the park to the training area and they have been seen practising in the training area.

Yeah I've heard a similar thing before Gazza, and like i said it wouldn't surprise me if that is the reason for the walls being there to hide the finished product. With a price tag of $10 million there is a fair chance that is the case and those walls when finished with can be sold off to another company or site that may need them. Those walls will also hide the behind look of the set that could or may be able to be seen from in the inside of the park before they are covered up. That way having the walls there isn't going to allow anyone to have a sneak peak. Does anyone know who is doing all the construction and set design, I'd heard back a few months ago Fx illusions was doing it as they have down work on most of WVTP attractions incl superman scape.

I'd actually have to agree with the fact the wall's are only temporary. Plus it wouldn't surprise me if WVTP go into such detail to keep this show under wraps till it opens. After the many complaints to council by nearby neighbours with the noise made when Wild Wild West was in construction I'm shore they wouldn't want to make the same mistake. Djrappa is right also to the fact most front line employee's, Ride attendants, shop assistance etc. would know just as much as most of the people on this forum.

Look i don't want to carry on the argument. All your points are valid and i know my spelling and grammar isn't up to scratch but not everyone is perfect and it's not something that will change over night. We have had this discussion before. All i ask is that everytime i post that the next post after mine isn't a smart ass remark that's about what i say or my spelling/grammar that's all i ask please. I hope this post is better.

Thanks Gazza and Ash for your help. iv tried my best to fix my spelling my self but obviously a few people just need to show some respect for others. To begin with back ages ago it didnt bother me cause it was all a joke but this happens everytime i post like iv said before if you have a problem PM me. Because my self and others im sure are over those few being rude everytime. Pus i really thought someone on the site would have put a stop to it seeing everyone is so up tight about the community guidelines about my spelling and grammar but its fine for them to be a hipacrite and break them themselves. Id just like to add for all those who are wondering as to what my last post is about well i was being backed about the point i had proven but because this site couldnt care about what is going on and the fact that the community guidelines arn't being followed and those who can see the issue and have said something about it like my self are getting our post's removed instead of the ones that are rude and should be removed. And djrappa a community leader should be at least showing a good example and following the community guidelines. number 1 A friendly and helpful attitude is expected at all times. djrappa your right there in the fact i havnt heard anything either and you would think if it was going to be indoors it would have gotten out by now plus you could be right with the map it doesnt exactly look as if the yellow part on top is a roof may be just to cover the look of the set. But anything is possible with a price tag of $10 million dollars, I wonder how well it will be put out to the public publicity wise i mean Batwing wasnt really that well publisised for the public untill a few months after i mean not many commercials may have been on the goldcoast area but top of NSW gets a lot of theme park ad's and stuff but there was nothing really about batwing. but i suppose it really wasnt classified as a huge attraction. Even today you really dont have to line up to get on its really a walk on ride the ques are really small. Oh and T-bone no the alley next to roxy isnt covered that is also anouther area that on a rainy day water poors down the sides making kinda like a water wall in front of the alley.

Im shore im not the only one who has had this thought if you over the last few days seen the site but there are large concrete walls up and its all around the site not just were facades / sets will go but do you think the stunt show could be inside????? The walls are a reasonable height for a roof to go over top of the show its self plus the whole show theme is to show how stunts are done in movie's aka made in a studio???? Plus the new park maps have updated the look of were the show is going to be with a building which could also mean it will be done inside a building / studio ???? Thats just my thought what do you all think. possobility????

Cadboy regarding how they get there its a similar route that is used by the park entertainers to get to the mavrick show building but not as long you travel out from near scooby doo exit through the large doors beside the intencity game building you then travel left along the road that is right beside the out skirts of the park you go past wild west lading bay and line up then past wild west ride area then you will come across the studios you then travel past the studios and they then take you behind there to Paridise country. If you want to drive there you take a road which is on the right hand side of AOS you then travel behind it and can see all the horse stables you then go past h2o zone ad follow the road past the studios and set building areas and you no sooner arrive at PC it takes bout 5 mins. You have to catch one of the trams from the carpark at PC into the farm its self.

Yes that is true. As i mentioned a couple of weeks ago john menzies and some park rep's were seen in the area taking measurments and thinking of a new area to put the western style drink stand that used to be there which is now moved next to the scooby extention que. When he was seen there, it was not certain as to what was going to happen to the area i was one of the few who realised who it was and sticky beaked my thoughts were a revamp of boot hill area but then the words "animal farm tour" and "aussie farm tours" was thrown around a few times but till yesterday it didnt make much sences. But you can now pay $10 for a adult and $5 for a child and you travel from boothill through the wooden doors were the floats come out for the parade and it then takes you to paridise country. You are given a green wrist band which then allows you to come back into the park when you are ready. Plus the people moovers they take you over in look very similar to the ones used in the old studio tour maybe even the same they look fairly old.

As i said before there was a problem on site which hld back construction in which the site was like a grave yard for a bit but from what i seen in the pictures and from the last time i checked out the site things seem to be going along pretty well. Coaster teen answer to your question the show is set to debute mid to end of Oct depending on construction, the set its self will be the quickest part of all it shouldnt take long if they get into it.

Well the roof should be coming on near completion very soon as i read today, "The new all-weather venue will officially be opened by Chief Executive Officer of Warner Village Theme Parks John Menzies at a gala event on Friday October 10th 2008" finishing touches are being down on the street and from what i can see so far and from what i have seen they have been fixing up little things that theme park junkies like my self look at in fine detail like paint work broken off sections of building that have been fixed last week on monday i think it was the park didnt open till 9:50 because there was a cherry picker in main street fixing things up. Has anyone else seen the new bins down main street they look very Disney like.

Well my opinion would have to be i recon it will be a really good event. And i wonder if the second new maze this year is the one id spoken about a week ago from what id heard a lack of planning and time restraintes was going to stop it from going ahead. But thats movieworld for you they will always try there best to get what they want for the event and they must have done a good job, well done.

djrappa your probably right about the set. But i saw it all when the shrek show was there and it didnt look to bad i reckon they could just give it all touch ups. But i suppose all off the wiring and effects have been taken out it would probably be a pretty big effort to re-do all that with a newer more modern system. From what i can remember from when i last went in there and saw the set there were lots of control panels all over the place very old style. But i would be really good if they did bring that show back with more modern magic. I myself am a magician for events and birthday parties and there is so much they could do with such a venue like its self and its just sitting there most of the year with nothing in it, it gets used for the occasional function like the maccas function held at the park in july they used the venue for a short 10 min presentation and the whole place was packed. Question Does anyone know or could fill me in on why we didnt end up getting a similar set up to soaring at DCA how come that didnt go ahead???

Thanks for that spotty, Well im glad they have at least kept some of the ride and acctually kept it in tack i didnt even know they were there still. Well at least they havnt been used a somewere to keep old useless stuff Movieworld doesnt use anymore like the mavrick show set its still all there and in tack and in good condition the show could start up again one day. But you walk behind the set and there's costumes everywere bits and peices here there and everywere.

MickeyD thats right the germany park was copied by ours, thanks for the info on that. One question relating the theatres for the ride how may was there or is there and were abouts are they located on the scooby premises. I thought they were taken out to make way for the giant que room not to mention last monday was bloody chockers iv never seen so many people for a normal off peak monday, ticket booth line ups were across the staff/coach road in front of the park still at 11:30 ride ques were pretty long most people would enter scooby and walk back out again.

Thats a good question that, correct me here if im wrong but originally when Movieworld first opened here they were some way offiliated with other movieworld parks design wise. Again correct me if im wrong but when did burmuda Triangle go in at Sea world because id heard rumours before that Movieworld was going to get it when the park first opened in 1991 and it would be located were superman is but then sea world took it making way for the studio tour to replace it. There is a video on you tube about Both movie world construction and training in germany and relates a lot of stuff to ours its half in german but you can see a lot of interesting stuff.

Well excuse the camera on my phone for the poor quality it is but im shore you would all better have seen it than not, sorry i dont carry my camera in my back pocket everywere. Joz is right this roof will bring in the dollars, Events cost thousands of dollars, of coarse depending what you do but they make big money from them. On rainy days everyone is going to go to mainstreet what are you going to do there watch shrek over and over probably not most people will SHOP, they will make so much money on rainy days from guest's spending there time in main street looking in the shops and buying. And yes there is astroturf in mainstreet im not shore if that is what it actually is it could be something very similar, but i would have to say it actually looks half decent when you are there and see it in real. All those saying they dont like it dont go and put your negative inputs out until you acctually go and see it, it looks alright in real it creates a more movie studio look for the street, im shore once lights go up which they will probably have on all day because of poor light for star photo's people taking pictures of the parade and so on they need some lights on which i think will happen soon. The overall project has been good i would have to say once complete it will be something most people will soon come to like. Its still early yet there is a bit to go.

DonjaiInLA you are right they have put in Astroturf or something similair i saw them laying it back a couple of weeks ago but really didnt think they would allow guest's on it seeing it will be hard to maintain clean because it was a bit of length to it and anything could get caught in it chewy ect. But it has been a hit with the guests sitting down for lunch on it getting all comfortable. One women yesterday had the whole picnic setup going on with a rug and all. But i would say there is a bit of fixing that will go on with the themeing because there has been cherry pickers in the street each morning fixing things and iv seen a lot of people looking closely at bits and peice's on the street so i asume they will probably give it all a touch up. And it looks like Boot hill will be getting a revamp also as yesterday john menzes was seen with some rep's holding plans and some people with measuring taps and stuff were discussing a refurbishment of the area as guest's walked past and listened in on what was going on i was also lucky enough to have walked past when it was going on. I didn't hear much, as many stood back and watched what was going on. They spent a decent half hour checking out the sight taking measurments and talking about the plan's, im shore we will hear more very soon.

I was talking about the audio issues that's something they cant predict untill the roof is in place. But you are right concerning the rain you would think they would have it all covered. But there is still a bit of work to be done so who knows there might be something stopping this rain from getting in. Plus this afternoon when i was heading home another truck with poles and supports arrived and there is still a few supports in the car park this morning. Construction is still well underway.

Um Ash regarding your post i got some pictures today of the roof i will upload. But after talking to a cast member who works on mainstreet. Last week the weather wasn't to crash hot and it rained a bit. She said there were parts were the roof aloud rain in, one is the Harry potter store which after she mentioned it i had a look at what she was on about and the rain comes down the side of the roof because it's curved and the harry potter roof tilts down towards the street unlike all the other roofs. So it comes of the big roof and onto the Harry potter building roof then splashes into mainstreet. But that is really the only point from my understanding were it will come in. For music the acoustics are really good but when i walked past the parade today it was hard to hear austin talking and iv never heard and issue with him or his voice down mainstreet before. But there could be other reason's for that, it could have been the entertainer, the mic i not shore unless i hear it a few times but the opening cerimony anouncers were hard to hear also in the morning. But i would say after completion of the roof they will most likely look into all those thing's.

I wasn't pointing out that the nemo pod was exactly what they use. I used it as a demonstration. And as i knew there was a light called the nemo pod that was simliar to the Mac550. But as pointed out i was wrong i'd obviously heard wrong. And the specs i gave on the light are so very similar to most moving head light's. I dont know if maybe i need to work on the way i say things but it seems be over and over again those who have probably nothing better to do attack every single detail of something that is said. Nev clearly corrected the situation ages ago and then you carry on these forums arn't for arguments or were people like you that think your all good because you can pick at every little thing to carry something on that probably could have been over ages ago if you didnt add your 2 cents worth in which really isn't need.
