  1. nah tbh when i first built it i completely forgot about placing food stalls
  2. does anyone know if i can use my $30 unlim ticket to upgrade to an annual pass in the park at the cheaper price advertised on the trays they give you in the cafe? actually wait, i just realised it is still cheaper just to get the 2year 2 park pass even if i dont go to WWW
  3. granted superman should have been running 2 cars, especially when it broke down they should have taken the extra 10mins to load the 2nd car to get people through faster. however scooby was quiet imo, we never waited more than 15mins, even when the sign outside said 40min wait. the last drop of scooby did seem to have a laser turned on, just not doing much anything. there was a red line around the teeth of that mouth you go through. oh, and on scooby, it was the first time i actually noticed the spider thing on the roof just before the camera lol. as for the stunt show, i havent seen it running 4 black cars since i went in april
  4. have a great holiday! make sure you get plenty of pics of the parks over there too please!
  5. i didnt go around that time, but i did go the other day (yesterday) and everything was really quiet. still no lethal weapon unfortunately, but superman was working 99% of the day, it did break down for 15mins while we were in the queue. i do feel sorry for the first group of ppl let on after they fixed it when the mechanic goes "loaded test run, stand clear" scooby was back to its near best (but definately the best i have seen it in months) as far as the food goes, service was fast and the food was actually decent for once (steakburger & chips from the one near WWF)
  6. ok so i should have known a park of this size wouldnt work. the guests struggle to make it to the other side of the park. if i upload it here, can someone please download it and see if they can help with the guest issues or just with the park in general? upload here soon and here is the download link. i hope i picked the right park lol. first one was the wrong park so here is the correct one. (im pretty sure this time - it should be the one with animals included) its umm.... 12.5mb http://www.mediafire.com/?jvyomyzvtym
  7. rode today. must say its finally back to what it should be apart from scooby at the end. the laser at the top of the first drop is amazing. first time i have ridden with it working. the music was very loud for once although it did sometimes sound like the speakers were behind something. on another note, we made it around to the last drop before the lap bar decided to crush us and seriously, is the ball-crushing element of the seat really necessary? i mean really necessary?
  8. hey, the do have their own "world series baseball"
  9. 217kph in a couple of seconds doesnt appeal to you? i give it a week before someone dies on it though
  10. how is this not being discussed yet (it probably is, i just missed it)......217kph.... so tired i forgot to link some actual info, will do so when i get up and come home from work. night
  11. last time i ate at movieworld, the meat patty was a rock, the lettuce was brown and the bun was dry. working in the food industry i know what is acceptable quality to serve to people and the crap they make there certainly is not acceptable
  12. Can I bring my own lunch? From Wednesday 1 July 2009, guests visiting Warner Bros. Movie World will no longer be permitted to bring in food & beverage items including eskies and coolers. Guests with special dietary requirements as detailed below are exempt from this new policy: • Guests with allergies • Infants and babies • Pre booked education groups Patrons will still be allowed to bring in fruit and bottled water. Although a new policy for our parks, this is an industry standard practice employed by most theme parks as well as sporting and entertainment stadiums worldwide. As part of the implementation of this new policy, our food and beverage division are working to provide a greater variety of high quality lunch options. We’re also working to provide a broader price range of foods, so purchasing lunch won't be a cost prohibitive exercise.
  13. 10min walk is probably a 3min taxi ride, probably about 6 bucks ok, for the people posting that yes they would do the 12 hours, it wouldnt hurt to post here so i can see who you are and begin to organise stuff
  14. thats really stupid, you would think they could organise some transport, although, they do have that carpark for a reason so i guess its just saving money for them not to charter a bus and train
  15. just to gather some interest at the moment, would anyone else be interested in a 12hour day at dreamworld? July 10 incl Screamworld. Enter park: 9am Leave park:5pm Enter park: 6.30pm Leave park: 10.30pm so far me and a mate are gonna do it
  16. also, to save making a new thread, the cyclone was being manually parked on friday. no more of the stupid let one car in, stop, one car, stop.... it was halfway into the station before it stopped, then now im not sure if the guy was just being an idiot or what, but the op had a remote control that looked like a normal tv remote and he pointed it to the front of the first car and made it move forward again, then stopped it in the right place. then he used the remote to close the front gates. as i said, im not sure if he was really controlling it or not, but he had to move the remote around a bit before anything would happen and if he wasnt doing it, he had perfect timing.
  17. well today it was really quiet at dreamworld. i think i was the only person for the whole day who used a q4u. saved plenty of time though. anyway, i just thought it was funny that at one stage today we were in main square and noticed a couple of the motorcoaster runs go through empty so i just assume another breakdown with it. then this afternoon just as we were queuing for it, the wipeout got stuck mid-cycle (not upside down). that took about 10mins to fix. instead of waiting we were going to go straight to the cyclone but instead joined the very short avpx queue. turned around and noticed the cyclone stuck halfway up the chain with ride ops/mechanics walking up the stairs talking to the riders. it started up again pretty quickly too. oh and just on the avp, the guy running it today was the one thats all serious about it (had Pvt Ryan as a name but i dont know if his name actually is ryan or not) but yea, some girl was making smart-ass comments so he goes.. "ok, there is a blue team who shoot the yellow, a yellow team who shoot the blue......and this girl over here is on the magenta team, so everyone can shoot her." sorry for the dodgy camera phone pics, but thats them in their stuck positions
  18. ages man. although in saying that when i went, at 10.05 the ride ops were calling us over and letting us on - i think it goes by the amount of ppl waiting
  19. they are probably just gonna do what seaworld did with the pirate ship. close it for a while then remove it from the map and hope people dont notice.
  20. how about an S&S 'El Loco' coaster? looks like fun and seems to fit in small places
  21. yea thats the one. what exactly does it do?
  22. i noticed there was a key hanging up in the cyclone control booth that had something like "winch back to station" written on it? either i read it wrong and it controls the winch for the dummies or the car has a motor to drive itself back if it gets stuck? also noticed the young chick running it was very good at making nooses
  23. must be a new edition within the last month then as they were never advertised when i was there recently
  24. i doubt it would was that much time, i mean the dummies are right beside the train. it couldnt take that much longer to winch the dummies across and lock the restraints compared to loading a full train -oh and cadboy, doesnt scooby have that slight boost exiting the station? (though i guess all coasters do) but scoobys must be enough to make the turns as the cars dont weigh much compared to a full length coaster train
  25. i think the difference with them is that the cyclone is not a powered launch. the cyclone requires a certain amount of weight to make it around the corner to the chain and then the same weight to make the loops/corkscrews
